SoulCalibur IV - (10.17.08) - Vader/Yoda DLC set to release on 10/23 [400 points]

is there anything inherently cheap about the star wars characters? I've yet to see an exploitable move...and everyone who uses them online sucks ass.

No. Vader is on the slow side, Yoda has no range and the Apprentice seems pretty unsafe after most of his moves.

everyone sucks Don-Kay-Dick online. I bet it's the same people who bought the GC SCII just cuz zelda is in it.

It took me 3 times of sounding out "Don-Kay" before I got it...

Anyone want to play online in a little bit.
 
yeah, people are awful online. I usually can crush them with nightmare, but every once in a while a kilik masher gets lucky because I actually try to play how the game's meant to be played, rather than just anticipating the same 2-3 things being used over and over.

telle that to chacrana... I played his kilik and yeah. He at least knew what he was doing and knew how to play kilik but Kilik abuse isn't fun.

I really do hate that so many shitty button mashers are using Kilik, because people automatically assume that I'm shitty.

I'm hoping to pick up a new character in the next few days. I'm thinking Cassandra, because she's pretty different from anyone that I've played in SC. Strange that she's been around since SC2 and I've never really played as her. I'd try and relearn Siegfried, but he feels so different now that I don't really feel like bothering right now.

But I do kind of mash buttons I guess... I stick to using the few moves I can easily pull off right now.

I guess I'll have to wait on that SCIV dlc if I ever get it (Should've been in the game in the first place) because of PSN's minimum balance add.

Truth! Out of the randoms I've played, there was only one person who seemed like they were trying to play seriously (with Xianghua.)

i made a character called "OMGSTARWARS" for the apprentice/yoda spammers. Taki base, model is just a busty chick in a bikini with a big red fro and the viking helmet (so the horns stick out of the fro.) She fights with paddles and has the highest pitched female voice in the game. I only do sidestep+B counters and an A,B,K juggle. works every time :lol:
 
I'll gladly fight some of you CAGs who want a decent battle! My Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach Anime) and Persona 3 Hero guy would love to fight! (And coming soon, Battle Arena Toshinden Tracy XD) Akilla and I have already had some good matches ^_^
 
I just played it for the first time. I choose Yoda in story mode, medium, and beat it with only dying once. Which was a ring out thing. Pretty easy on medium.

So what mode do i have to play to unlock more CAS gear?
 
Nightmare isn't as awesome as SC2, but he's still fun to play. I love slamming oponnents on the ground and then throwing them out of the ring. He's such a smooth character when you get in a rhythm.

yeah. if you liked him in SCII, play sigfried since he has the same moveset as Nightmare in II.
 
One thing that really upsets me about the Character Creation: I can't choose the basic character model. I've tried for 20 minutes to get a guy with green skin so I can make a Ninja Turtle but no luck at all. Very upsetting.

then some crazy ass Taki (like Kunimitsu, with that crazy spiral hair) and a glasses girl witch Tira.

oh shit! cuz I didn't think of it >_< now I wish custom chaacters could use lightsabers... would make an easy travis.
 
I tried SC4 while I was in a Gamecrazy earlier, fumbling around with a 360 controller.

Tried to hit Cassie's 66A+B,22B+K? I think thats it anyway, the big forward poke, then lunging overhead. The 2nd part's input seemed like it had to be a little later than I remember it. I wonder if its still guaranteed. Then again...360 controller.

She seems mostly unchanged.

2B+K on CH, Low throw

yes we did, who was that CAS with the yellow skirt?

Anyone make some weird CAS yet? I went crazy with the fro and created Marge Simpson, gave her Mina's style.
 
Anyone want to trade achievements for this game? I will chances are be playing a little every day but Tuesday will be the best if anyone wants to.

I havent made any characters yet. Well i made their basics. So i got one dude and one female in their underwear. LOL. Im waiting till i unlock more clothes before i go any further. I dunno which modes are best for unlocking new clothing.
