Bestbuy.com has the CE for $59.99 WITH a 500 rewardzone point bonus. So, you'll ultimately get the game for $49.99(including the $10 rewardzone bonus). I may cancel at GS and pick this deal up, it cannot be picked up in store however. I think this is a pricing error on the site, get it while its hot!

I just received an email from Ubisoft that mentioned free DLC every Thursday if you have the game. What I was wondering is there some sort of in game store like that ME2 has where stuff shows up in game to buy that doesn't show up on the regular xbl marketplace?

I was going to get this from Goozex so I am hoping I can just d/l the DLC through the marketplace and not have the game just yet.

[/QUOTE]From what I noticed its a in game extras area. I went into it today and it showed a automatic pistol that I was able to unlock. These is no "cerberus" type code to enter first. So I would say you'll have no problems getting the DLC.

Hopefully it will still be available. I may be reading too into it but it seems like it's only free for a limited time. Maybe they'll shed some light on the details of this when they "reveal more details shortly".

this is one thing that confuses me. It seems like if it worked the stuff would be on there. Did they just not bother even putting the stuff on the drives once they released a certain percentage of them were faulty? I guess that would make some sense considering that would take a lot of time. Although I would also think that they could have put all that data on the drives as they were produced and be part of the production process. Then again I don't know how they are made or anything lol.

I got all the mass effect 2 dlc in that mishap on xbox live marketplace so I sold my collector's edition code and the inferno armor from amazon. Made like 41 after ebay/paypal fees, so my CE was nearly free after other discounts. It's a joke how much these things go for when they could've just pre-ordered the game or something usually to get the codes.

By working, I mean it was detected as a USB on my iMac and it functions as a USB should. The content is not there, but Ubisoft will be putting the downloads online sometime soon I read. Then I'll be able to throw everything on the drive.

Yeah, I entered the text code first before anything and it unlocked the SC3000, thats what made me decide to try and sell the paper code.

Anybody who has used the codes from the Collector's Edition... which code is for the gun and which for the armor? I wanna give my friend the gun code, but I don't know which one is which without using them.

On my card, the first/top code was the gun, the second/bottom was the armor.
 
I guess I was one of the unlucky ones, my USB card doesn't work.. There was about 10 copies when I went to Best Buy this morning but I chose the one without the web security thing. That's what I get for being picky. Oh well still a good buy for 49.99 because of a $10 Rewards Cert.

weird that they are split up considering i have two codes from a ubisoft promotion that states it unlocks "VR Alkali Skin and SC3000". Is that the same armor the CE unlocks?

Edit: Just to clarify because I realize what I said might be confusing but I received two separate emails, both stating that the said code unlocked both of those things. I could be wrong though as I have know way of knowing for sure lol.
 
I was searching google to see if I had to register the game to prove I own it for the extras that will be on the site on Thursday, and I read an article that does indeed say that Ubisoft "Discontinued" the CE after the mishap, so not only will the initial shipment be the only ones shipped, they stopped making them before the game was released, so they're technically "rare" if anyone is interested.

Wow i did a search Best Buy has one store within about 50 miles of me with the CE in stock. Im sure with the website saying not shipping These are the only ones. Rare indeed. Glad i got a CE and didnt wait till the "20.00 price drop thing somebody was talking about"
 
i stopped in at the Best Buy in Norwalk, CT and they sold me the CE edition for $59.99 so you can pick it up at the store.

If that's the case then I'm guessing my backorder on best buy will never be fulfilled...
 
Picked mine up at the Ankeny, IA Best Buy, Limited Editions were on the shelf marked as $59.99. At 4:30 pm there were a couple left on the shelf. Took mine up to customer service and price matched TRU's ad to get Bioshock 2 for $20. :)

People are crazy. I sold three Juggernaut codes for Marvel Ultimate Alliance for $35, $40, and $50, and the Apollo skin code for God of War III for $40. It's madness I tells ya! MADNESS!!
 
I picked up the only copy at my local BB. Luckily I have one of the working USB drives. Thanks OP! Now I have to return the standard edition copy I bought from TRU online. I've also got an extra SC3000 code, looks like I need to sell it on ebay, LOL!
 
The reason that auction has gone up so high is probably because of an error in its description. It says it will unlock the VR Alkali Armor. Codes for that were sent out to people who participated in the Code of Conviction promo, but those codes are all messed up, and they actually unlock the Shadow Armor skin. The seller has clarified this at the bottom of his page too. I won't be surprised if those bidders retract their bids after they find out it won't unlock the VR Armor. I don't think anyone has that unlocked right now at all, since the codes Ubi sent out were messed up.

Edit: That is also a good possibility.

That auction looks like he is inflating his own auction with another account or two and hopes some sucker outbids his other accounts. If it was a 49 ebay feedback person selling it instead of the 1 feedback person it might seem like a more legit auction but also people on ebay can be stupid when bidding so it may be real.
 
damn, I just played the demo of this game...really impressed. Can't really get a good reading on Ebay about how much the CE is going for (think I only saw one or two for around $75) this is killing me not opening it!
