Can someone explain to me how the Zerg network tunnel thing works? Just played a game where a dude put it at my mineral line and just swept in while I was guarding the front.
EDIT: Also having trouble connecting to bnet. It just sits at the connecting screen.
Nydus worms work the same way the SC1 nydus canals work, except to build the exit tunnel, no creep is needed - only line of sight. Additionally, if you built one nydus, and set your exit tunnel to an expansion, lets say, you can build a new exit point. it gets rid of the first one, and creates a new exit - which means that you don't need nearly as many nydus tunnels now.
If I were a zerg, and built a nydus, even before the worm pops, I can put my units inside the building. I choose an exit point in your base, where my overlord has sight, wait 20-30 seconds (i forget the build on the nydus worm)
The nydus worm makes an audible sound when it spawns that you can often hear even when it is off-screen. It has a slight delay between when it completes building and when it can be used.. so if you catch it really fast, sometimes you can kill it before units come out.
The Nydus worm can only let one unit out every quarter or half second or so, so even if you miss the worm coming up, you can sometimes manage to kill the zerg units as they come out of the tunnel with a smaller force with less losses than if you fought head-on.
So! overlords near the outskirts of your base are more dangerous than in SC1. Also, if you fight a terran, look out for reapers... they can jump up over ledges and eat your peons.
