Yes, HMV ships here (as well as Amazon UK for future reference). The HMV version is an actual Steelbook, so it'll be a bit different from the Viva Metalbox sold at Best Buy. The movie will be region free, but unfortunately lacks the commentary and I believe some/all of the features found on the US version.

Anything directly from Warner and Universal should definitely be region free. I believe the majority of Fox, Paramount, Disney/Buena Vista, and Sony releases are as well. Only Lionsgate (and by extension StudioCanal), and smaller film houses like Eureka, or BFI tend to lock their films.

Found a randomly discarded copy of Snow White and the Huntsmen in a random part of the store at Best Buy today.. grabbed it quickly. Other than that, they were beyond sold out (as in, their display was extremely disorganized, I guess people were going through their copies and trying to find one of the steelbook versions).

No the previous poster was wrong. The HMV one does not have any text on it what-so-ever once its unwraped whereas the BB metal pak has "Marvels the Avengers" embossed on the front. The HMV one is a "clean" steel like the Netherlands TinTin.

I pre-ordered two Snow White and the Huntsman for pick up and one for shipping just in case. The one they shipped me was inside a shipping bag and nothing else. Surprisingly only a tiny dent, the other two I picked up were flawless.

Oh and I was charged the pre-order price of $24.99 for all 3, so I canceled in-store pickup when I stopped by the store and bought them on the spot at $19.99 instead. Guess I'll return the $24.99 dented one. Love the look of the SB, if only it was embossed

I ended up getting Avengers at my Best Buy. I basically use these to offset the cost on my purchase as I don't really collect the steelbooks.....I don't want to go down that slippery slope and try to get all of them.

So the Resident Evil animated movie on the 25th; will any store in the US sell it as a Steelbook? Also will it have Movie Cash for the RE live-action movie?

I doubt that it would have movie cash for the new re or they would have timed it better to coincide with an upcoming release. As it stands, re is already making its way into theaters so it looks like they missed that window. Guess we'll find out, though.
