What else is everyone picking up today?  Anyone getting the Target exclusive Aladdin?  Disney doesn't do those coupons anymore, do they?

I know Target has Winter Soldier for $9.99, anything else worthwhile besides that and Edward Scissorhands?

The only other thing I picked up today was the Best Buy exclusive Aladdin with lenticular slip. I debated the San Andreas steelbook at Target but just can't justify it for $24.99 without the 3D disc.

I'm torn here. I want to get this cuz I like compilations in SB cases, but I don't know if this is the last movie they will make.
That's pretty tempting to me too. I have Ghost Protocol but none of the others. I remember 1 being great, 2 was terrible, and I don't remember 3 at all.

I forgot about the Edward Scissorhands steelbook. Didn't see it though when I was there.

As for Aladdin, I'm tempted to get a Best Buy copy for the digital copy, cause it's probably my favorite Disney movie. Already have the UK steelbook.

If nothing else, get the BB lenticular version. That way, you can sell it used and get decent money for it. AFAIK, those slips are slightly more valuable than the standard copies.

Thanks for this! I headed right out to my local store when you posted and I got one of the three they had in stock.

It looks like the in-store DPCI is different from the online one. It may be the same as the standard release. Anyway the DPCI for the steelbook I just purchased on my receipt is 058-32-0623. This thing is beautiful - don't miss out!
You are the man. After the listing showed none available in my area, I was able to find stores that are stocking them using the DPCI you posted here. Went in, and grabbed one. Thanks!

Thank you a million for posting the in-store DCPI #!

I managed to find a store that had one listed from Brickseek and they actually had it. They're holding it and I'll go pick it up on the way into the office.

Time to go cancel my useless online order once I have it in-hand.

Yeah I was also able to score the lone copy at my store, it was in an odd display area which I think helped it last this long in the day.  My wife is a big Johnny Depp fan and will enjoy having this on Blu for sure.

Here are some of the steels Walmart is now carrying YMMV

Had to hit up 2 walmarts, first one I went to had nothing

I almost didn't get the Edward Scissorhands steelbook they had put away at a local store, as apparently, it shares the DCPI # of the regular release. The store rep pulled the regular version last night, though the rep working today did manage to find it right before I walked out of the store.

So, I did manage to get it and canceled my online order.

Gee thanks, Target corporate, for being so fucking useless on this one.

Count me among the DCPI number success!  My store had exactly two as was listed online so I grabbed one.  Had a $5 GC from earlier this week which made the deal even sweeter and I love this steel so thanks for the heads up on the price!

Yeah, I HATE that Target uses the same DPCI number for items that have difference UPCs, particularly steelbooks/steelcases.

BTW the Best Buy I stopped in at had about a dozen each of the two different Avengers AoU steelbooks.  Also, plenty of the "Best Buy exclusive lenticular cover San Andreas" which apparently includes some sort of bonus features (though the back of the case look exactly the same as the non-BBY exclusive, so no idea what precisely the different material is. Also, plenty of the Target exclusive steelbooks for this one.  Not really surprised...doesn't look like a keeper.

I was tempted to buy the San Andreas Steelbook while getting the Edward Scissorhands one, but $25 is ridiculous. I hope these sit on the shelf long enough to convince Target to go back down to $20 on future releases.

I don't think it's the same DPCI though. The employee showed me the PDA, and there were 3 -- one Blu-ray, one DVD, and one steelbook. The Blu-ray and steelbook versions were both listed as $9.99.

If they don't share the same DCPI, then the rep last night must have pulled the wrong one since that was the one with my info on it when I showed up this morning to pick it up. The steelbook the rep this morning handed me once he found it must have been put somewhere else or he managed to find it somewhere on the shelf.

I would too but Steelbook never hit clearance at my store. Can't decide whether to get the SB and 3D on ebay or skip the whole thing.

OK so I had been keeping an eye on this thread and brickseek for the past couple days.
Yesterday I went to Target on my lunch break and punched in the DPCI which told me which aisle to check but no dice. I asked an employee with a PDA to check the DPCI (Brickseek said there was 2 copies on hand but only 1 saleable) She went back to the stockroom and came back a few minutes later with.....the standard DVD. Wah, wah, wahhhhh.
I checked Brickseek again this morning and now it said 4 copies on hand, 3 saleable. So I went on my lunch break and there were two on the shelves, on the end cap of the aisle the scanner said it should be on. I grabbed both of them. If my buddy doesn't want my extra I will offer it up for trade here.
And for my own reference, I checked Brickseek when I got back to work and it had been updated. So that's good to know.

Which DCPI worked for you?
058-32-0623 is the one I used that Josef posted about on the previous page. I'm thinking that the SB and non-SB versions share DCPI #s, though elessar123 says that he thinks there's a different one.

I just checked inventory on fyndly and found that five of my local stores have 7 or more copies. Maybe some kind of restock?

One of those stores has 24 of them and would be one of the stores I'd check at for picking up an item like this. Three other stores have 12 of them, though they're not stores I'd go to regularly. My home store as well as the store I was at to pick up Ed Scissorhands is showing as out of stock. Cross-checks with the same numbers using Brickseek.

So, maybe people should double-check inventory and see what fyndly and Brickseek say, then try again?

Didn't even realize that came out. Wife is a huge Tim Burton and Johnny Depp fan, so got some hunting to do after work. I really need to stay on top of these things better.

I think they may share the same in-store DPCI as well and maybe those new ones showing up are some of the regular Blu-Rays starting to come in. One reason I say this is because the shelf price marker just states the name of the movie and doesn't have "steelbook" listed. Could be wrong about that though as I'm not at Target to check to see if the other steelbooks they have there are identified with "Steelbook" in the price marker.

Actually I just checked Target's website right now and it doesn't even look like they have a listing for the standard 25th anniversary version - only the steelbook is listed. So who knows.

Here's a Blu-Ray.com review of the 3D version of San Andreas:

http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/San-Andreas-3D-Blu-ray/132857/#Review

I think I'm going to keep the steelbook, see if it gets cheaper in the return period and only pick up the 3D version on the very cheap.
Thanks, was going to follow your lead (get the SB and hold off on 3D) but my store for some reason never received any. I generally avoid ordering due to Target's poor shipping but I suppose I'll give them a shot.

Anyone ordered the Edward scissorhead steelbook  on the target website get to pm The  9.99 price I still don't know why  it's not 9.99 on the website

So has an in-store price been set for the BTTF Trilogy steelbook that comes out this Tuesday at Target?  $29.99 was the most recent one I can remember.  I'll probably be picking it up at that price but will be crossing my fingers for an additional Cartwheel discount!

I'll have my Sunday paper today and will check to see what's in there for an in-store price. We'll know about Cartwheel tomorrow when the next set of deals gets loaded.

Not sure if it's been said in here yet, but Best Buy has been getting restocks of Furious 7, Mad Max, and Avengers 2 steelbooks. The system showed only Vision steelbooks, but supposedly more Ultron ones are on their way, too.

I wish I would've known Mad Max was getting restocked. I picked up the last one the last time my BB restocked but it was a little dented and scratched. I finally opened it after I convinced myself that it matched the "used" world that the film took place in.

It's been up for a while now. I just noticed that the non-SB version is up for $20, so hopefully the SB version will follow suit soon.

So is the Jurassic World Steelbook here an NBC Universal exclusive?  $49.98 is ridiculous.

What are the cheapest prices for the other versions?  I think I saw $17.99 for that "special edition" in one of the ads.

Well considering they don't show a picture of it I think that is likely the collectible metal packaging version that is showing up at various retailers. Which would make that price even more ridiculous!

Has to be the same as everywhere else out there, otherwise there would be something on Blu-Ray.com or one of the other sites like it to mention that there's some oddball exclusive version out there.
