Since thinks the SB thread I'll post my find here. I was able to get the Edge of Tomorrow and Transformers AOE steel books at Target for $10 each. Part of that huge movie sale that's going on.

No, Target has a few metal packs that are discounted after cartwheel if it's still happening.

What he was referring to was the huge movie sale Target has going on right now, I posted the list a page back I think. I guess he was able to find both steelboks at his store and got them for $10.

Yep, makes my day as I'm not interested in anything but thee SB and it looks great. My question is what's the best way to ensure I get it? If I ship to home are they good enough to make sure its attached or would i be better for store pick up to make sure its not damaged in the mail?

Edit: Best Buy is saying that the steelbook is already OOS for PS4 when I do instore pick up but ship to home allowed it.

If they pack it with the game in the same box, you should be OK. BB has been getting a lot better about shipping items at least in cardboard mailers and not plastic mailers any longer. At least for me, that is.

 
now...why did I pick up the TF:AOE Target exclusive steelbook when I already have the BB exclusive SB??.... 10 bucks...that's why! :wall:

That's likely to just be the theatrical releases, if I had to take a guess.

I hate to say it, though these steels have had a track record of being as cheap as possible at time of release. There's been a couple that have dropped to cheaper after time of release (Django Unchained, for one), though once released, they tend to go back towards MSRP.

I would check on it periodically and see if you're lucky or not.  If they make a new one like they did for Django that is BD only, it might be cheaper.

 
Just received an email that Hobbit: Battle Of The Five Armies is set to release on 03/24/15.  My guess is if the Trilogy steelbook also shows a release date of 03/24/15, then it's the theatrical version.

The ones that dropped in price were because Target used the same item number for the standard and Steelbook versions. When the standard version went on sale, the Steelbook automatically did too. Now, I believe Target has started using separate item numbers for Steelbooks, so I suspect we won't see as many drops as we once did.

You missed a great opportunity about 2 weeks ago. I was able to pick up that SB for $10 when Target had that big movie sale going on.

So I have never ordered from Zavvi before. So do they charge extra for shipping to the US ?

I just didn't want to pay an arm and leg for this . Do these movies also play in US players ?
