The way target has been handling the DC steel releases means Im not taking any chances and will be there at opening on release date. But also these DC steel releases have trickled into the stores later during the release week too so that's an additional headache

Wait, they're animating this one?!
Yep, and it's going to be the first DC animated film with a R rating. It also will most likely be the last time Mark Hamill will voice Joker

Regardless I can not wait for this one.

I'm really interested in the story (know the basics but never read the comic) but I can't help but feel the animation is much weaker looking. I watched Batman vs. Robin the other day and Gods and Monsters today and it feels like the quality varies a lot more than I'd expect. Is it just me or this a known thing? I generally bling buy these because for 15 bucks it's a pretty decent deal but I can't tell if it's just me or if this is another ugly looking DC release.

I'll wait for the Best Buy version.
Same here. Pretty safe bet BB will have them and I don't have to double dip for digital codes.

Yeah the the animation in The Killing Joke trailer looked a bit off but I'm still in for the steel!

Also will wait for the Best Buy Civil War steel. Not looking forward to all the bitching about the price though.

I think I am going to go after The Killing Joke steel at Target when it releases since I enjoyed the source material so much. That will be my first DC steelbook I hope when I get it I resist the urge to pick up the older ones.

Thanks for the heads up. Gonna cancel and reorder. I know Best Buy will automatically refund the difference, but in my experience, they only do it if the price stays that way until release. I had an issue in the past where an item was discounted a couple bucks and then went back up, and they didn't give me the difference and they didn't respond to my customer service message either. I would have called them or messaged again, but it was only a couple bucks and I couldn't be bothered.

Since Deadpool went down to $20 and my original preorder of it for shipping was $30 do I need to contact them to get the lower price?

Deadpool steelbook is $20 at BB.
Ugh, not available for shipping and "not available for store pickup within 250 miles"!!!

Gotta deal with getting my existing preorders matched to this price somehow, not to mention I used a cert to pay for part of them joy joy joy...

Im hoping for some restock by the time it comes out. I wanna have it shipped or my local best buy carry them.

If it's $20 at this point, that's likely to be release price, so it would make sense to just ride out pre-orders and let the system auto-correct the pricing.  Mine was ordered with a $15 RZ cert and since it's not coming out until the 10th, there's plenty of time to have the system fix the pricing change.

I would expect by the end of this week that all pre-orders should be changed to the $19.99 price.

If you make more than 8 bucks an hour you're technically losing money with the likely effort knowing Best Buy's CSR quality.

Next week ad (5/8) said the Deadpool steelbook would be $24.99. I am just going to contact BB to make sure they adjust it down to $19.99 right now.

I ended up canceling my $30 preorder for Deadpool and buying a $20 copy.  In my experience, Best Buy will send you the item for the current price at release, unless you preorder it for less.  So if you preorder for $30 and they raise the price to $25 the week of release, then you'll be charged the $25 that it is at release, not the $20 it is currently.  This is one of the few areas that Amazon has them beat regarding preorders (amazon will give you the lowest price over the whole preorder period, not just the release price and the moment you preordered).

I printed a copy of the page currently showing the price at $19.99 to PDF and if it doesn't autocorrect it by time of release, I'll call/email and have them credit me back $10 + tax.

I emailed them and they said they would credit my account the $10. I used my BB CC and on my order page it still shows the $30 price but there is also a $10 credit listed under the grand total.

Crap, I was going to do the same thing but they raised the price back up to $24.99. By any chance can you pm your pdf?

Well regarding the drop for the Deadpool steelbook I went and posted something on their unbox forums just to make sure.  I never got an adjustment on the last steelbook Avengers AOU, but since it was only like $2 bucks I didn't bother dealing with CS for it.  It was the only time a pre-order I had with them never auto adjusted.  This time around though I want to make sure.

damn they raised the price. using the pdf screenshot is useless. Best Buy doesnt care. They just look at the current price on the site.

I'm just laughing at all theses stories on here, history would of clearly told you to cancel then re-order because the price was going to change and BB don't give a s**t... But good luck guys, I really mean it

Yeah I don't get it either. People should know by now to order when the price hits an all-time low, regardless of their preexisting orders.

Not correct. I've provided them PDF copies of pricing before after their initial email when asked for. I just emailed them about the $10 difference and we'll see what happens.

Yeah, it's really funny, right? If I cancelled my existing preorder, I'd get hit with a shipping charge because the rest of my order wouldn't hit the free shipping threshold. Yeah, that's seriously so funny!!!

Well I got a reply from their CS on the forums.  Was told it should adjust once it ships but if it doesn't just send a PM to the rep to let them know and they'll manual do it for me.

Meaning they will adjust it to $24.99 because that will be the release week price. If you want it for $19.99 it will be like pulling teeth, especially since they have now raised the price to $24.99. I'm beginning to think the $19.99 price for the last day and a half was a price mistake.

I've got an email stating they will honor the $19.99 price and have thus noted so on my account.

... granted, I also received an account credit for $10.xx for the price difference and tax.
