Here is a quote from USPS on Media Mail...
"Media Mail® service is a cost efficient way to mail books, sound recordings, recorded video tapes, printed music, and recorded computer-readable media (such as CDs, DVDs, and diskettes). Media Mail can not contain advertising except for incidental announcements of books. The maximum weight for Media Mail is 70 lbs."
Basically, video games, cds, player's guides, and the sort work for media mail. I've shipped large and small boxes before with no problem. I've never been asked to look inside a box (YMMV on clerk), but it is open to inspection. Basically you can get charged extra if you mail in ineligible items (but usually just the difference from MM to Priority). I've shipped LE games (GTA IV, Assassin's Creed, etc.) Media Mail, and to make it easier than explaining to the clerk, I just call it a DVD box set, lol.
So to sum it up, you can use media mail on pretty much all the non-accessory items you sold (I'm sure you can't, but don't be afraid to ask, ship things like Beatmania, lol). And with regards to time, it does say it takes longer, but I've never noticed a huge difference when receiving with media mail.
EDIT: Also, what I always do is tell the clerk the item I'm shipping is covered by media mail, but could they tell me the cheapest price anyways. Sometimes media mail may not be cheaper than priority, or just a nickel more. But that probably would only apply to low wait packages.
