They do this so you won't end up buying the game w/bonus and returning the game to keep the bonus.

Usually only an issue with a GC as a bonus, though you never know.

Not sure if the brain age 2 is still going on I guess it's while supplies last or something like that, but when I registered my big brain academy I was able to do the survey and get the keychain so it might still be going on..

You should be careful that you don't buy from stores that put their own tags on the plastic wrapper.
 
Hate to be the one to break bad news, but I just looked through the Best Buy ad for next week and saw no mention of the hourglass.

Question: can you get the hourglass at Best Buy stores in the US?

And that Wal-Mart skin is actually pretty awesome, it's just... I don't want to have to wait for it to ship to me. I want Zelda now.

am i missing something? the hourglass looks pretty basic, if you remove the silk-screening. is it an exact model/replica of the hourglass from the game (assuming there is one)?

so that's basically the guide for $5. Nevermind now that's I've written it out I'm definitly going with TRU. Is it on Pre-Order only or can I use it instore. I'm not down with paying for shipping. As a true CAG I can wait till day 2
 
IF the DS/Zelda bundle does not include a gold version of the ds...I plan on Pming the TRU deal at BB for an extra $2 savings (10% of $20).

how's the quality of the free stuff at CC? I'm thinking about going with that one, but maybe there will be something better next week.

Based on the picture, the headphones look like junk. But the stylus looks nice, and the screenwipe...is just a green cloth... However, if you want to believe CC, these amount to a $15 value.

Because I've been spending too much money lately, I'm just going to take my chances and wait for the TRU sale in two weeks, hoping PH will be in stock. I'll be there right when the store opens on the 14th. :)
 
Are the headphones included with the zelda kit for the CC deal only useable for the DS?
Like for example, can they be used with an iPod?
If not, then I'll have to with the TRU deal.
 
i passed on all offers. I figure i get it off gamefly for the weekend and if i like it im sure tons will be on Goozex or swith soon enough. Hell look at pokemon LOL
 
Just picked this up at TRU during lunch, used a 10% off '5th Grader' coupon. Snagged another Wavebird while I was there (using another 10% off coupon, of course).

Anyone see anything official yet on the Nintendo site regarding the quill stylus?
 
Managed to get my copy of PH with the art cell without purchasing a DS. I didn't even have a pre-order for the game as well :D. What's interesting is that the art cell even has a sticker saying that I purchased both the system and the game, which is kinda true, I just didn't purchase them at the same time.

Got it at TRU with the guide. They had a stack of the Pokemon booklets/stickers/bookmarks left over from the Manaphy event on Saturday, so I grabbed one of those as well.
 
I picked it up at CC today, already had about 2 hours of play time with it :) I tried to get them to PM the free guide at TRU, but they were not gonna do it lol. I only got it at CC thanks to the 2 $20 giftcards from the last time they did the "in by 2 or get a $20 giftcard" deal they had (I got one and my wife got one). So really I got the game for free with about $2 left on my giftcard. Not a bad deal for a great game!

I really do like the pen stylus, I alredy had two from the reg 2 pack they sell with the crappy screen protectors. The headphones are ok, my son seems to like them.
 
Is the TRU guide the same as the one that you would buy? Or is it one of those crappy tiny abridged versions?

My TRU didn't get it in today.... so why does the ad say it'll be in by 5 p.m.?
 
Same thing happened to me I called them at 4:00 and they told me they didn't get it so I waited and called them at 5:30 and a different employee looked and said it didn't come I don't know what's up since the ad says in by 5PM my guess the game came and they didn't unpack it yet or something. >.<

If it wasn't for the Guide i'd probably gone elsewhere.
 
Just picked mine up from the TRU in Eugene, OR. Tried to persuade the clerk to let me pay $10 to get the Collector's Edition guide, but no dice. She was nice about it and actually mentioned that I wasn't the first person to ask if she could do that for me. Still, pretty happy to have a free guide. And with a gift receipt, isn't there always potential to return it down the road and get the Collector's Edition guide for $10 more anyways?

Thanks, man.I went out and got the free guide from TRU though.Its a good thing I didnt get the headphones then.
 
for those of you that picked it up from tru; did they have a lot of guides? i'm very lazy and i'll go on friday to get it if i can wait that long.
