Worst/dorkiest stance for a character in a fighter - Bison's "jerk off" stance in both SNK vs Capcom games. Just to funny.
Damn, now I'm gonna be thinking he's spanking his monkey before a fight starts.

- Best/coolest stance for a character in a fighter - Either Guile or Urien/Gill
- Worst/dorkiest stance for a character in a fighter - Gotta agree with Bison's, but I never really like Beinmaru's stance either.
- most overused sprite - Ignoring the give in (Morrigan), I gotta say Sagat. He hasn't been drawn since Alpha 1, and he looked terrible there too. Some of the still-kickin alpha one characters (Guy, Adon) still look okay...but he looks like utter shit.
- glitchiest fighter ever - In what way? I'm thinking either Bloody Roar or SVC Chaos
- most unbalanced - MvC2, SVC Chaos.

- Best/coolest stance for a character in a fighter - i've always been partial to the number of frames in elena's stance.. but one of the coolest has gotta be yamazaki
- Worst/dorkiest stance for a character in a fighter - nagare from project justice
- most overused sprite - morrigan wins for free
- glitchiest fighter ever - not counting sf2: rainbow ed.?
- most unbalanced - co-sign on mvc2
Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX preview at IGN -

http://psp.ign.com/articles/680/680803p1.html

They are really liking it, and the PSP exclusive tag team mode sounds cool as well.
...

man, i love street fighter...

BUT ANOTHER ALPHA 3 REHASH?

yeah, i've seen previews for this forever

but i keep wishing that it isn't true, and that they're really working on street fighter 4...

damn you capcom, for being too sexy

- Best/coolest stance for a character in a fighter - Hibiki
- Worst/dorkiest stance for a character in a fighter - Lion (dorky)
- most overused sprite - Don't know. Probably someone in an SNK game.
- glitchiest fighter ever - MvC2 has a shit load
- most unbalanced - MvC2. If out of 50 characters, only 10 or so are tournament worthy, that crap is unbalanced, regardless of the "balance in the top tier" argument,

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed Bision's "jerk off" pose. But I agree with SilverPaw, Nagare's stance is very lame. Even his moves are odd, but still fun to use. His mouth to mouth is great for those homo-phobic friends. "Eww.... gross he tried to kiss me."

Alpha 1, 2, 2 Gold, 3 and Pocket Fighter coming to PS2 as part of a collection.
Capcom and their collections are amazing... I guess they realized there is lots of money to be made here.

It will probably be $29.99 standard MSRP, I will definately pick it up. One step closer to retiring my Saturn for good...

My life is complete. THANK YOU CAPCOM!
Man, SF Anthology needs to come out on Xbox and get some LIVE support!!
Agh. I'll probably end up buying the PS2 version initially and buying the Xbox one when it comes out later with live support. DAMN YOU CAPCOM!

Now than an Alpha 3 collection is outta the way, I want a Rival Schools collection.

I had the first one for the PSX, but I think I lent it out to a friend and never saw it again. I also played the second one for the DC, which I really liked too.

 the sad part is I look forward to the Pocket Fighter game included the most. I borrowed it from a friend back in the PS1 days and it was weird at first, but fun. I like the oversimplified control skeme as well as the chibi style of everyone...

That's the one I am looking forward to the most. I haven't played it yet but I have always wanted to.
YES!

whats the different between double upper and the arcade version?
double upper has about 9 additional characters: guile, t. hawk, fei long, balrog, juli, juni, evil ryu, yun and ingrid. there's also some modes like tag mode that are now easily selectable in double upper.

I REALLY hope that SFA3 is a port of the Dreamcast version. I won't get the collection if it doesn't include all the features from it...

Funny, the only thing I buy from Capcom anymore are the collections. Can't wait for the Alpha collection, that's great news. And I was just about to buy Alpha 2 for Saturn, guess I'll save my money and wait.

Capcom really came through with this one. It feels like we're literally being swamped with Street Fighter games as this generation comes to a close. It'll be a nice build up until Street Fighter 4 comes out down the road.
I'm glad its an arcade version port!

Shit.. it'd be the first arcade accurate port of this title EVER.
But an arcade version port won't have all the fighters, like Guile, right?

Damn....:bomb:

You are probably right on that.

i guess ive played the double upper version then.

too bad capcom is going with the arcade version.

Awesome, I'll be getting this Street Fighter Alpha Collection I only have one of the games offered in it. Can't wait to finally play Pocket Fighter. I just wish I can just get Street Fighter 1 for completeness sake.

the GBA version of SFA3 is actually pretty damn good. It's the only GBA game I still play other than Metal Slug Advance.

... for some reason Majesco is publishing Guilty Gear Judgment of for PSP... kinda weird for me, but no biggy. see here (boxcover):

http://www.gamespot.com/pages/image_viewer/boxshot.php?pid=928252

... anyone think that fighters should addapt more "beat-em-up" modes for consoles but with more story? Tekken 4's tekken force was pretty fun, but don't mention Devil Within mode from Tekken 5... GG Isuka's beat em up seems pretty well implimented also (still need to play that game...)... I don't know... it's just that the two genres seem like such a good opportunity to merge, even with a horrible history trying to.

That's awesome about the Alpha collection. We'll probably see it on the Xbox within a year just like they did with SFAC. I just got my refurbished SFAC arcade sticks in today and I tired one out. That guy on arcadestickmonk's mod site really wasn't lying when he said it felt like his hands were being raped. It really does, and I hope the new Happ parts will make it feel a lot better.

Does anyone know if the PS2 ports of Last Blade 1+2 or Mark of the Wolves will ever make it to the states, or maybe even on the Xbox?

I wish
Just got Samurai Showdown V, finally. I'll be playing online today if anybody wants.
Youve got my gamertag
from what people say on campus here right now they say it's 360, but for some reason I don't beleive them.. I say PS3.
That is the one fighter I am almost afraid to try online because I know I'll get my ass handed to me. Regularly.

I love the whole SEGA-TV thing that will run with VF5. I just American arcades would do something like this.

Personally, arcade owners should put together a union to pull together and do something to revitalize the Arcade scene. People are willing to make time for th arcade, you just have to get the competition to show up as well somehow.

My biggest problem with arcades is the cost. I don't want to plunk downa few bucks on a game just to learn the basics.
VFNET and TEKKENNET in Japan are HUGE. I wish we had stuff like that here. Even has mobile access!
yeah, the TekkenNet mobile phone character customization is amazing!

I put in some time with Alpha 3 for PSP and i got to say they did a great job porting it. THe game looks fantastic. It plays a lot better then Darkstalkers did for PSP and the Dpad that came with works very nice. When it comes out in the US i suggest picking it up, or if you have no patience like me, import it now.

For VFNET and TEKKENNET you could have your character 'ghost' be a cpu opponent all over the network in Japan, winning you G/$ from all over so you can customize your char later. Pretty cool... It even copies down the combos you do for the most part(In Tekken), not sure about VF5.

We need that shit! I don't see it happening though, Japan's network technology is years ahead of ours and theirs is easier to maintain.

Maybe if there was someway to run arcades as a pay by the hour operation instead of a pay by the play one.

they have this place called boomers where you pay $10 on certain days and you play for the whole day.
