Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Gen. Discussion & Info

I utilizing a similar strategy, only we played random stages and I got caught playing in a really small level. That and I went with D3 even tho I had no idea how to play him. Got ROFL-stomped by some Peach player.

I have an interesting story to tell. I went out with a couple friends to pick up our copies of SSBB from Gamestop. We arrived at about 11:30, so we didn't participate in the tourney or anything. We got our copies and I went back to my buddy's place for a bit, and got some 4 player Smash on.
After about an hour of playing, some random guy walks into his apartment and says "Hey. I know I'm in your house, but some guy just hit the gas main on your apartment, and the whole area smells like gas." We freak out, run around turning off the pilot lights and the circuit breakers and go downstairs. Sure enough, it smells terribly of gas.
After the fire department and gas company arrive and turn the gas off, we look around the corner at the cars. They literally hit the house's wall right under the room where we were playing. That's how important Smash is, a car can hit the side of your house, and you don't notice.

fucking insane line at EB for this. Definitely a couple hundred people.

Played through Classic once with Link, played some SSE, unlocked Snake, and tried out the quarter shooter trophy game. Great stuff so far.

All I can say is that I hate daylight savings so much. I wanna play more, but I gotta force myself to sleep!

You would've died with shit-eating grins on your faces

That little ditty made me sooooo happy... Now I can go to bed happy instead of upset that I lost to Marth after beating normal difficulty with mega knight....

Ugh. My faith in humanity has been lost. Remind me never to wait in line for a video game again. I think my line was full of smashboarders or something.

While were in line however, the employees were doing trivia for $5 store credit. I won a card after 8 people couldn't guess what year the NES came out. So I suppose that was the only real positive in the line, other than actually getting the game.

I'm kicking myself for doing an online pre-order and not picking it up tonight >_< Hopefully it comes soon, I can't wait to play. One of my friends went to the gamestop tournament; I'll have to see how he fared.

I lost today.
I played pretty well at the Tourney, I just accidentally died with Dedede's up B.
:/
I don't care though, I played this game and I LOVE IT!
Gotta sleep though, I'll play first thing tomorrow morning.

Well I played this game long enough for tonight, so I guess I will get some sleep to play it all day tomorrow

One thing I really wish they brought back was the little awards after every match like on melee and the original how you got so many points after every battle in classic for various things like not using items or getting so many kills with x item.

Other than that this game is perfect so far.

Grins yes, shit-eating grins I'm not so sure...
Only 25% of the way through SSE, and I don't think I can keep playing. :(

MUST. KEEP. PLAYING.

...

zzzzzzzzz....
Seriously. 25% and that seemed like forever.

I just ordered a copy online for in-store pickup, so hopefully everything is in order before the opening rush. I'll probably dedicate the majority of the day to this game.

Got my copy a few hours before midnight, and promptly went home to play it with friends.

Gotta say, I'm loving it. A lot. Tons of fun.

It's 7am. I think I'm actually going to get some sleep. I'm up to about 18% in SSE. I did some target practice which has me a little disappointed because it seems that the course is the same for every character. It was different in Melee, right? I did the first 5 events too.

6 a.m. over here, definitely time to put it up for now and get to bed. So far, I've just messed around in all the modes except SSE. Unlocked Snake, Luigi, Ness, Marth, and maybe someone else? I dunno too tired. Anyway, loving this game :) P.S. Snake is a beast.

Won the tourney at my GameStop with a Samus super missile during sudden death complete with bob-ombs dropping. Pretty damn epic. Been playing all night. Gotta get some sleep now though. Pics of my awful trophy to come soon enough.

I'll add all of you as soon as I get on, I somehow lost my wifi usb connector and there is not hot spots near me.

If you guys want to do voice chat through the 360, we can use that free Aeris Wing game as a chatroom.

I think it's pretty annoying Nintendo knew this game had a problem and decided to spring it on us last minute. :bomb: I ran out first thing this morning to buy Smash, and of course I get home and the game doesn't work. I suppose I should be happy they're making the repair situation as easy as they are, but that still doesn't get me playing today after months of waiting now does it? :wall:

I remember it was an unique set for every character in the first, but I am not too sure if it was in melee, but chances are it was in melee as well.
