And the wii isnt setup for DHCP right? If not that is weird
PM me ur ssbb code
I couldn't get games to run by connecting to my router under normal circumstances, so I decided to set up a static. Found a guide
here on CAG, actually, to do the same thing for a 360 with my router. So I set up a static beyond the DHCP range and then put DMZ on it to bypass any firewall settings.
That worked.
The other night, however, I couldn't get any games to run. So I went into my router's config and checked the DHCP list - showed the Wii has connected, but instead of 192.168.2.101 (static), it was a 5.
However, then I started seeing lots of posts on here that the Friends Code network was down, meaning no one could get any games to run.
That was two nights ago. But I just tried it right now and everything ran quite smoothly. In fact, when I played Beef a few days ago, the lag was horrendous. But just now, we had very smooth games.
So my thinking now might be that the router itself is actually working with the static, and that I jumped the gun in thinking there was something wrong with my setup. Don't know why it said it was 5 the other night, but maybe it doesn't matter.
(For the record, this router is
terrible in releasing the DHCP list of who is connected at what IP address. I go in there and request the list and it doesn't load 99% of the time. Which is crap, but oh well. So long as I can Brawl online, I don't really care.)
Next step is to get my 360 running next to it and seeing if I can go the extra mile and get voice chat to work. That's going to be quite amusing.
No need to PM my code - it's 1032-0903-4842. Everyday I've got another 10 codes or so to add, which I'm going to do right now, so I'll add you also.
