DI is improved and there is less of an auto effect, making it easier to rack up damage on jabs against people that can't DI. More characters have critical hits, and some have been toned down (MARTH! =P) New physics mean different hitboxes and priorities. Power shielding (using shield JUST before an attack comes) is a lot easier and leads to a lot of mindgames.

Personally, I don't care if it resembles a "real" fighting game or not. Four characters and items is just more fun to play most of the time. :)

It took me two tries to get Toon Link and Jigglypuff, and three for Toon Link. There were a lot of cases of bad luck there (like getting blasted by the Arwings and the cannons), but it was definitely a little frustrating.

Wouldn't that break the game unless they made some radical changes to the character? He's much too big and too powerful. Don't count on him ever being a playable character (ignoring the Game Shark hacks in Melee)

Mars, I thought it was weird how sometimes in our 4-player game, it would freeze for like, 5 seconds, then the connection would just be crystal clear afterwards.

It couldn't have been you, you're green on my connection orb-thing. I'm not complaining, I just thought it was weird.

Yeah I haven't been able to get her too, last one i need. It's funny how she was the easiest one to unlock in the first two and now shes the hardest lol.

Definitely. It just sucked having to go through a good chunk of the "Ruins" stage only to lose to Star Wolf. Just got annoying.

I have to report though that I finally beat Toon Link and Star Wolf! :)

Probably based on pure luck, but I now have all the characters unlocked. It was pretty much the first thing I wanted to do when I first got this game so now I can just mess around with all the characters, see who I like playing as the most. Also this gives me a chance to try out the Events and maybe unlock more stages.

VM is Red on mine. Where do you live VM ? West Coast? I'm east coast.
 
I have not been able to get one yet today how has the lag ben? Yesterday I played a match or two and it wasnt to bad it started out at about a 1 second lag and turned into a .5 second lag.
