Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Gen. Discussion & Info

GGs to NineH (you're Meows, correct?)! I don't normally play with items on, so that was a fun time for me.

Do you know how I exploded on my second life as Dedede? I couldn't figure it out for the life of me!

Sorry Suko, I didn't stay around longer (we don't get to play against each other much). We were playing for about an hour before you came in and I was getting hungry. Kind of hard to eat scolding hot soup while playing Smash at the same time.

No problems. Playing some friendly matches with nineh now.
 
Besides registering FCs, I've been putting off Mario Kart so that I can dedicate my gaming time to Brawl.

I need more practice. I had to leave the game before with David because my room got too noise to concentrate. I don't seem to be getting much better. :bomb: Bring out BlueThunder at a later date. I have to deal with joeB short hop attack motions and retreats moves. How did David get good in his grabs? David can't be that good with snake I seen him blow himself up with explosives. LOL

Ok Marc, I bow down to your Rob. No idea how to guard against his spin moves. Could you at least tell I improved my Kirby before Rob came in and ruined my day?
 
David's snake was annoying becasue he knew what he was doing. When he played me a hero, he must have had like a 1% miss rate. Everymove was deliberate and on target. Really good use of the DownB to limit your opponents movement.
 
Ugh. Sorry for my sub-par playing tonight zitanix, I think I must be really tired tonight because for some reason it just feels like I wasn't putting my best game forward...
 
Heh, no problem. I think I'm doing better than usual tonight myself. You'll have to tell me which characters you think I should work on for the tournament though!

Good games to everyone I've played tonight. Still looking to practice teams, hopefully we can organize something tomorrow.

Good games Mad D, Zitanix, and Dmunkee. I don't think I played anyone else, so I hope I'm not forgetting anyone.

I think this is the first time I've played in over a week.

I am having so much trouble adjusting to the lag, even when it's minimal. But that's what practice is for!

I hate how so many of my matches are going, which is me dying twice, making a comeback, and then dying because I just can't get the damage in. :]

Dr. MK, are these brawl tournments? Just curious.
 
Yes, those are all Brawl tournaments, but the latter two are multi-game tournaments, so they have some other fighters, like Tekken or Guilty Gear or whathaveyou.

I don't think I can ever play in the day. The lag is horrible. I've been disconnected 5 times. Thinking it could be my router channel, when the phone rings I get disconnected (on cable) it's like the 56k days all over again.

Rig's friend Sammy must have though I was horrible.

edit: Oh yeah. good games, nice to finally play with you Izzy.

Daisy you need to edge guard more with Marth. If you don't like jumping out there you should charge up that shield buster stab and wait for them to recover.
 
GGs to Mad D. I was pleasantly surprised to find you online at this hour! Now to go do some homework. Lame.

Oh, and your Olimar is shaping up nicely, although I must say I find your Kirby as your best. Who do you prefer?

EDIT: To any Ness/Lucas players - do you find it nigh impossible to recover from below the stage online? I can't explain it precisely, but there's an angle that's quite easy for me to recover from offline, but I find it completely un-doable online! PK Thunder needs to work with me more!

"more"? I don't edge guard at all! :lol: Although I've been trying some things out I just can't seem to get the timing right.
Marth is actually becoming a favorite of mine. And I agree with Joe, your Kirby is really good.

If there's any hint of lag (even not really noticable), PK Thunder is nearly impossible to pull off. I can pull off PK Thunder in situations when I can't see myself offline, but there are a lot of times I find myself completely missing

Try going into the internet channel, going to any site, quitting, and then connecting to Brawl. I have to do that to accept a security certificate due to my roomate being super paranoid about internet access.

Probably won't do anything for you, but hey, it might.

Good games, Evergoo. I'm pretty sure I peaked right there with Sonic. Also, your Snake is hilarious and annoying at the same time.
