Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Gen. Discussion & Info

Ugh, I dont know who izzy is... but I don't know how you find that fun. I sit on the edge and spam and then run to the other side and get bored in less than 10 seconds. You have the patience of a king to do it for an entire round, every round.


Mad D, sorry for bailing, but I can't handle a 1 fps fight. All three of our connections were fine, you must be d/ling some nice stuff tonight :)

I think Izzy is maigoyume, IIRC.

Nah, he wasn't lagging, we had four in there and it was fine. Then Mad D joined after Rig left. 1 FPS ><

It was doing the same when dmunkee was in there too, with Rig and I. But the rest of the time is was really smooth.
 
Yeah, if I ever win a match it's because others are getting worse :lol:

But those were some fun matches! There was one stage where I just wailed on Donkey Kong. I guess some characters bring out different reactions in me. Zelda in particular since my brother always plays as her. And ROB which for some reason (marc) causes me to wet myself :lol:

And I finally got to play with my partner for the tournament! (that was you right?) We may need to get together and think up some strategies. And if it seemed like we were ganging up on you guys, um... we were just practicing for the tournament :lol:
 
sorry dyknom, i try not to spam projectiles if i can help it, its not much fun if you do

To all those I played against gg, especially daisydog, some of those matches were down to the wire :)

Aw man, I'm the lagger? The problem is I'm not dl'ing anything (but I did change my router channel this morning), I'm changing it back to see if it helps.

Marc, you brightened up my day with Snake. That was the most stylish way to go.

I've been disconnected for about a minute, and you guys still appear to be Brawling. Also, Blue, I know what you mean. Online, I only count on Ness' two jumps. The third one is a crapshoot.

EDIT: Okay, what color should I be? :p
EDIT2: I hate Rig. lol. You should not home-run attack your allies!
EDIT3: Marc, did you try pressing start when I had two stock? Can you take lives?

Good games to goo, Blue, Rig, and I'm certain I forgot someone, but that person too. I'm excited for the tournament to start! w00t, w00t!

Those team games gave me trouble. I'm partially color blind, and red and green are too similar for me to tell apart. Sorry 'bout that.

Guess my team will always have to be Blue in the team tourney!

Green would actually be fine too...as long as one of the two teams is blue.
 
Great games everyone!

JoeB, there was no other place for Snake to go but up. Regarding the team, I didn't try pressing start. I forgot. And I think we should be green to compliment your eyes and jello.

The 3-on-1 and 2-on-1's were hilarious. With no team attack, it was practically gang rape if you were on the handicapped-side.

This is ridiculous, I can connect to Mario Kart buy not Brawl :whistle2:\



edit: kind of hard to practice when I can't even get online. It must be me and not Nintendo from what happened the other night with dyeknom.

So when I connect to the server it is lighting quick. Spectating, no problem. Random brawl, just have to wait to connect to other random participants.

Friend list battles, 86420.
 
GGs Strell. Too bad we couldn't really show off due to the lag. But good games just the same!

The lag is seriously making me not want to play online anymore.

I finally figured out why so many of my hits are in the wrong direction - the lag causes my character to land and quickly turn the wrong way because I guess it has already buffered a direction.

It's so infuriating. I don't know what I wouldn't give up to play this game online with actual servers, or at least something like XBL.
 
I rarely experienced lag problem until this week (Mario Kart released), but I have never experienced a 100% disconnect rate when trying to stay connected to a friend's game. I get into the game and then error 86420 shows up.

I've never had connection problems on Medal of Honor Heroes 2 (that's why my rank was 80th ;) but never touching that game again addicting like crack or gambling (none I have ever tried)) but then again those were EA servers.

Guess I'll just have to wait it out.

Sort of like bowser move buffers. So sick of 30% suicides (2/3s deaths) from having a buffered move go off the second I get hit over an empty space... That drives me nuts.
 
GG's to strell and joe, most of the matches were very close

Highlight match for me was when i took D3 down with me ;) I thought i was going to miss that one

Damn, I've gone and effed up my internet.

For some reason my wireless decided to no longer connect to wireless devices after never doing so ever.

If I join and then drop out I'm effing with the router some more.
 
GG joe, sorrry to those who joined. I'm quitiing cause my eyelids don't want me to play anymore. That's why i purposfully ran off the cliff at the end there. I couldn't see right.

GGs to UltimoRey, Mad D, maigo, and dmunkee. That was an intense Lucas v. Ness match at the end. I call total BS, though, on not grabbing the ledge at the end of my 2nd life. I was so upset by that!
 
I don't get it my connection was great last week. Mario Kart couldn't be doing this? Was the game laggy before I joined? Please tell me if it was me so I could mess with my router more.

Watching you play for once, I see why I get myself killed against you Joe. You have patience.

edit: Now my router is blocking out my PC, but I'm able to connect from my Mac.
