It's not so much confirming that Mewtwo WON'T be in the game, but he was the big bad ass Pokemon of that time.. Lucario is the big bad ass these days. It doesn't confirm anything, but to guess that he replaced Mewtwo isn't all that asinine.

My point here is that there's no reason to assume that anyone won't 'make it back'. Everyone thought Ness wouldn't make it back. Lucas is practically a revamped Ness, and here we are months later with Ness all but confirmed. We're working with a ton more physical space comparatively. With Ness I'm 95% confident that we're losing noone. If we get any clones I'll bump that to 100%.
PTrainer is one character regardless of how many pokemon he controls. I don't argue that. But I think 6 pokemon out of 39 characters isn't too much when you weigh how popular the series is. I know MarkMan said 35 was the list but including the past and what we know of the present the series roster is 39 which is my guess for the final of Brawl. I'd actually go one more and say 40 because you aren't the only one who'd enjoy playing with their Miis.

don't know why we're spoiliering either but R.O.B. (who won't be a character) could have a non-jumping gimic. Ice CLimbers are a pair, Yoshi doesn't have a recovery move, Mewtwo is telepathic, Zelda and now Samus have two forms. IF we were to put ROB in there his thing would be that he doesn't jump.

All I know is that when we first started to get more info on Brawl, it was confirmed that not EVERYBODY will return. Of course no one knew then and it was only speculation. If all of these "complete rosters" are correct, then that only leaves 4 people not returning; Mewtwo, Pichu, Dr. Mario and Roy. I don't even know what to think anymore, to be honest. The only thing that's coming to mind is that a lot of people are getting really defensive about who might be cut :lol: (Not you, seriously. I've read some posts on other forums and people are getting SERIOUS about this!)

I'm sitting here watching the SSE vids again to see what R.O.B. looks like and seeing Zelda teleport to the stage reminds me I really want to play Ocarina of Time again. But I really should finish Paper Mario 2, RE4, Prince of Persia 2,3, Majora's Mask, on and so forth. Reminds me I'm glad Smash isn't out yet because soon as it is even if I don't have a Wii I'm gonna find a way to play it and play it constantly.l

I disagree. While PoP2 is a flawed game, and not nearly as good as the original or PoP3, I don't think it's as bad as many make it out to be. Flawed? Yes. Worthless? Hardly.

I don't know why you're fighting this so much. If you believe that those pictures confirmed the inclusion of Ness, Lucario, and Jigglypuff then they also confirm Mewtwo not being in it otherwise he would have shown up next to the other pokemon characters. Why would those be shown and not Mewtwo?

I just gotta do it, but I did go thru about an hour of the game and it's clearly not up to the POP1 par. SoT was brilliant on every level. I hadn't enjoyed a game as completely and throughly since.. maybe Ocarina when I got the SE Disc. Warrior Within is still on my wishlist. I'm not going for the Wii version either. I'm gonna stick it out on my cube.

That said I will conceed that the "no Mewtwo" theory IS probably the most sensible of the many theories I don't believe. I can't fault anyone for swaying that way. And of the unconfirmed characters

The only thing I don't like about the level is that it randomly selects which one to play, it should go from 1-1 to 1-2 during the level, or it it's going to be random there should be some way to select which version you're going to play in like Zelda/Shiek.

Honestly, there's always that chance. Just because they don't mention something doesn't mean it isn't there. Besides, even if it isn't, who cares? I kind of like the randomness of it. And really, it's just a clever, clever design for a level.

That'd be like giving ZSS a seperate slot. Quite frankly ZSS and Shiek are two characters I don't expect to see on the char select.
