At this point, since it won't ship until right around the 1st, when you send in the rebate form, send in a copy of the confirmation email with the packing list. As long as it's bought by the 1st, and ships after the 1st, you're OK.

excellent deal. Nothing like getting payed to play. If it really is bad then I could trade it in to GR and still come out on top. I paid with EB credit so no money lost at all. Also Ordered Romance of the Three Kingdoms VII to get saver. It was 9.99 but it seems like a game that I would enjoy rather than a cheap ps1 game that I will never use again.
 
Man I love this site. Picked up a used eyetoy to get free shipping, used cag15 and edge sticker. As an added bonus the price of the eye toy seems to have dropped to $17.99; just yesterday I swear I saw it for $20.

Total came out to be $23 something, but with the $20 voucher it's a steal!!!
 
EB Games has emailed back to me to what I believe is the EB B&M $20 Voucher Rebate that I mailed in for Hot Shots Golf Fore!. I mailed it in about 1-2 weeks ago. The first email from EB was a notice that they were going to send to my address the voucher, and the 2nd one was the confirmation that they sent it, and will arrive in about 3 weeks. This is the 2nd email..

Bought this for $10, with about $100 worth of other stuff I've been meaning to get (Taiko Drum Master, you are mine! :D). I don't care about the wait...getting paid $10 to take a game is even better than as good as it gets. :bouncy:

No, really? I'm quite aware of that. But EFFECTIVELY, I'm getting paid $10...I was gonna be spending $20 at EB eventually anyway (probably on SMTDDS), so the effect is the same.

Eh? I'm confused. I thought they were gonna just send a web voucher to use on ebgames site? Or will they send you a real gift certifcate to use instores?

Confused since the form said they needed e-mail address to send rebate.


Ahhh, either way, I can't wait for the rebate to come in, I'll prolly use it to buy devil may cry 3 or MGS3.
 
Slightly OT, but it's worth a shot.

I ordered this, and I accidentally had it shipped to my old house, since I moved recently and forgot to change the default address and didn't pay attention to the shipping info, because I'm just a dunce. I know a guy who lives there, and he's been picking up any mail that comes for me and giving it to me. After all this time, the status on usps.com is updated and it says that it was 'underliverable as addressed' I'm wondering now, what's going to happen with the package, will it be sent back to EB? I'm kind of in the dark, and any help would be appreciated, so thanks.
 
Call the post office and see if they have it there, I don't think they send it right back to EB right away. They most likely won't know if they have it or not, but its worth a shot. Then you could probably just go pick it up there. If they don't know, call EB's customer service and they can probably give you some advice.

Thanks for the advice. Turns out they worded it funny on the tracking site, and it was actually redirected towards my new Apt. Funny, because I got my pre-owned game delivered there last week. All is good, and hopefully my rebate goes though.

I did both the Syphon Filter rebate and the Hot Shots Fore rebate, but I got two rebate emails giving me the exact same code. Anyone do the same thing and know if that means it's a code I can use twice or if it's instead a $40 code?

Were they sent at different times? I only did the Syphon Filter deal and got 2 rebate e-mails as well both with the same code. Maybe they just processed the Syphon Filter one twice and haven't gotten to the Hot Shots one yet, but I would e-mail them just to ask.
 
Originally I had sent in for both Hot Shots Golf and Syphon Filter. But when I initially only got 1 email saying I would get a rebate, I called to ask if I would get just 1 rebate or 2. The customer service said its only valid 1 per address, and I used the same addy for both rebates even though it was on two separate forms. So I went ahead and told them I was going to return the games to my EB. I did and got my $40 back.

Yesterday I get TWO emails saying my rebate had shipped. I thought they had cancelled my rebates because I told them I was returning the games, but perhaps not. We'll find out in 5-7 business days.
 
yay, I just got my EB emails for both HSGF and SF: TOS. I had previously bought HSGF at a B&M store, and SF: TOS online. Sent / mailed both of them to the rebate center (HSGF about a week earlier, SF:TOS was ordered online), and I received both emails at about the same time. Now, I have two new emails fromo EB, and the first one that came first was a confirmation for they having it already sent to my address, and the second one with the online code (which should came from SF: TOS).

got my $20 code, i also got 2 emails but the codes were identical. Bought 4 games to trade in at GR grand total after all discounts and codes was $2.08 shipped.
 
Ive still heard nothing from ebgames, which is really annoying, the only reason I even bought the game was for the voucher, I barely even play the game.

I guess it varies per person. EB took 2 weeks with me, GS has been going on for almost 8 weeks now (or more) since the Phantom Dust Voucher, I called and they said they'll "Look into it". I'm waiting another week before I call them about it.

As someone who has done a lot of rebate in the past, I can tell you EB is one of the better company dealing with rebates. If you can't handle a delay or other problems, than maybe rebate isnt for you.
 
oh yeah... got my online code... must wait for the other by mail...
plan on getting the discounted sale price Paper Mario 2 (10 after voucher)
and will order Warioware Twisted (also 10 after voucher)

so the total spent on Syphon Filter:OS, Hot Shots Fore, Paper Mario TTYD, and Warioware: Twisted will be a little over 50 bucks after vouchers... great deal!!!

I don't know about CAG15, but I used saver with the $20 code. I didn't use CAG 15 because I figured I was already using 2 discount codes and I didn't want to take a chance on it getting cancelled by using a 3rd code that would only save me $0.15 since I bought a used $0.99 game.
 
I'm still on the lookout for my Siphon Filter rebate, but my past experiences with EB Games rebates have taught me to expect a long wait. As long as I get my money back eventually, I'm more than happy to take their free game.

The reason it takes so lone (according to my phone conversation with customer service) is that they only send out the vouchers one time a month
 
please correct me if I am wrong. Are you guys actually saying the rebate will come in both email and mail? (meaning $20 coupon in email and $20 in actual mail) Wont they be like buying a game and get $40 back? Or they are the same code just that you may choose to use whichever way you want? I am just afraid that when the email come, it got directed to as a junkmail and then I will never know. Please help to clarify, thanks.
 
Well, it's looks like it only applies to one of the two. If you bought both on one transaction you only get one. Have to be more crafty in the future. I did get $15 FYE credit for the $10 Syphon Filter so it wasn't a total loss.
