This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

STALKER dropped to 14.98 at my local store (Northridge, CA) after staying at 20.98 for the past few weeks. The stickers weren't updated though -- I had to have it scanned to see the actual price.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I may have to pop out to one of my Target's this week and stash a couple things just so they last until next Monday. ;)
 
I can confirm the $67 Pink Ipod shuffle bundle.

Things seem to be slowing down a bit, and I'm getting the feeling that BF will mop up most of the good stuff that hasn't dropped in price enough.

It's a pretty fun game. Mix of The Sims and a FPS. Odd combination but it surprisingly works.

The price will most likely dip to the $5 range because its such a "love it or hate it" type of game. When it does, make sure to grab a copy. :)
 
Stashing is usually only a delay at Target unless you get lucky. I think they do a lot of dusting or some crap cause I've tried hiding stuff 2 maybe 3 times and nothing has stayed.

They do such a damn good job of moving clearance items it hard to get a good deal at Target :(

Try lifting the bottom of an endcap up. Often it will lift and you can hide stuff underneath.

Two aisles over from the clearance area in my store, right behind two inkjet printers that have been there for months. There's a half-dozen games stashed there waiting for me to come pick them up. They've been there at least a week and a half or so.

FYI, my local Best Buy has this in it's clearance bin (yeah I haven't seen a clearance bin at any other BB before) for $20. It was 50% off of $39.99. It's the Best Buy in Crystal Lake, IL.

wow... i'd like to see someone from security try to handle that situation.

just the other day, i was getting some pop from a vending machine in front of the store and i heard this group running. i turned around and target security and an undercover tackled this big guy right to the ground. it was an interesting sight.

If we revealed this you could just easily swipe someone else's hidden shit. It really isn't that hard to figure out decent spots that rarely get touched by employees. Here is a hint, "Seasonal" and I don't mean holiday seasons.

Someone at the Mundelein, IL target keeps stashing video and PC games on the book clearance endcap. That's how I got Warhammer 40K: Dark Crusade for 9.98. :p
 
i forgot to mention that while i was there a few days ago checking out the prices for the games some random employee started talking to me and told me that i might not see the games after black friday. im gonna go back today and maybe pick up hotel dusk or something or dead or alive xtreme 2.

No one stashes them there, Target just puts many of them there.

If anyone's looking to score a cheap Guitar Hero III bundle, check Goodwill. Apparently Target's been salvaging out store returns (due to the wireless guitar losing connection with the system) at Goodwill (though the guitar is actually fine, I've had -zero- problems with it), and Goodwill is selling the game/guitar bundle for $40. I picked up the 360 version yesterday.
 
None of the clearance items at my store are any cheaper, but they have a new endcap with some regular price $19.99 360 games... including Fantastic Four 2. Wasn't this just clearanced to $10? Curious thing is, on the back is a UPC sticker covering the original. The new sticker scans at $19.99.

Actually, Target is clearancing their Wildberry Italian sodas. And they are gooooooooooood. :drool:

Anyway, as for stashing, I tried to hide a copy of Rogue Galaxy in the DVD section. Try on the top shelf behind a DVD that won't sell at all.

Found aboout a dozen of the $68 clearanced pink ipod shuffles on an endcap today. With the $15 itunes card that's a great deal. Too bad they're in pink or I'd pick one up for myself, but instead got one for one of mom's Xmas gifts.
 
There didn't look like anything had been marked down at the Maplecrest target here in fort wayne. Sadly the xbox controllers weren't on clearance either.

Saw Sonic and the Secret Rings and Elebits on the clearance shelf, but was ringing up as $29.99.

Also saw Tourist Trophy for $14.99 (temporary low price tag), and maybe some other $19.99 games down to $14.99 as well. This was on the long isle behind the cabinet, with like PS2, PSP, DS, and Xbox 360 games in those plastic holders.

I think the other games were Gran Turismo 4, Socom II, Socom III, Socom Combined Assault, and a Rachet & Clank game. I was tempted by Socom Combined Assault but then I realized I still haven't played much of 2 or 3.
 
I really want the Touchmaster DS, but at 20.98 I need it to drop a tad more. Think Ill hide this copy and see if I can get lucky.

This is hit or miss. I've done the same thing and my games get pulled by employees due to restocking and reorganizing/rearranging of areas that appeared to be safe.
 
Do you guys realize Target has plain clothes security milling about as well as security sitting just watching feeds from the various cameras throughout the store, right?

You aren't going to have much luck hiding things at Target. You may get lucky once in a blue moon, but I wouldn't be so optimistic.

This is very true, I bet most would be suprised as to how many plain clothes security there are at each individual.

A bunch of my friends work at Target and one of them was the head of security for about 3 years. I remember him telling me that it was 3:1 ratio of plain clothes to uniform guards.
 
No movement this week at 3 stores this week, goodness I hope they don't swoop them all away, one store has a bunch I would get on the next round...
 
Checked out Target today and found 2 1 gig SD cards for 3.xx a pop! :O DoA:X2 and Tetris is still hovering a bit over 20 :( but oh well.

20.xx is only 33% off correct? itd be sweet if it hit 7.xx like allpro, but i heard the game is totally lame (besides the boobies). there are thongs right?

Naugh it's not all boobies , there is some fun in it...but it's hard to want to play it when you have a girlfriend in real life. Heck I haven't played it in like 2 months. Don't like the idea that my 360 keeps track of "Games Played" and my gf could easily look that information up and see it.
 
I think some of the prices at the Target on Story or White or whatever it is, went up. :(

Off topic: The local Walmart and Target near my house is really bad when it comes to the plain clothes security. You can tell who they are because they load up on random items. Some of them even grab the displaced items and put it in their cart.
