This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

STALKER at my Target is still $14. Had 6 or 7 copies. Tried to bury a couple of them in the pile of clearance games in hopes one makes it through to $7.xx.
 
I got most of my shopping done via amazon.com this morning so I slept in. I did have to go out this afternoon to Target for a few small items. I was surprised to see most of the clearance endcap games I've been watching are still there. I hope they survive the weekend for additional drops next week.
 
Went to Target today and stopped by the games section. They had a slew of copies of Sonic (360 and PS3), Virtua Tennis 3 (360 and PS3), ad well as that Monster Madness game for the 360. All were $9 each.
I didn't bother buying any since Sonic was terrible and probably doesn't trade in for much. Virtua Tennis was tempting.

Sonic and VT3 were definitely 19.99 @ my Target this morning.

VT3 definately rang up at $20 for me as well. Those games were on an cardboard endcap facing the aisle. The only games that I saw with $9 tags were

I saw a copy of :psp: Killzone mistagged at $10.48. I tried to buy it for that price, but was denied.:cry: It rang up at $28

If you don't go back there and purchase Virtua Tennis 3 then you deserve to get your ass kicked.

No, it's $19.99 for Monster Madness, as well as for Virtua Tennis 3. The games rang up as 2 day promo whatever that means. I would assume the previous poster just saw some of the other $9.99 games on the same cardboard display and assumed all the games were that price. They're not.

Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade finally showed up on clearance at the Target near. Same store where I also got the Gold Edition aswell.

The game was tag for $9.95, but checked out $4.95. :)

They had Call of Duty 2 for $9.95 but I skipped on it. The spot also had a few copies of Rogue Galaxies for $27.95 and here's hoping it'll go down to $10-20 soon.

Went to three Targets today and noticed that at two of them, the previous 360 clearance games now had generic barcode stickers over the UPC and were all set to $19.99. This dropped the price of some games like Virtua Tennis 3 and DOA Extreme 2 to $19.99, but raised some games like Command & Conquer 3 and All-Pro Football 2K8 up to $19.99, so it was good for some titles, bad for others. That third Target still had the red sticker prices, so not sure how many Targets restickered clearance games.

Monster Madness was $19.99 at all three. Very tempted, but seems like it might be even cheaper soon enough.

Target in Brighton, CO has all these along with some Wii games with a big $9.00 price over the endcap. Sonic and Monster Madness of course rang up for 19.99, but the cashier adjusted down to $9 for me.
 
Went to Target today and they were out of NBA 2K8 for 360 so they were substituting Assassin's Creed for $28. This was at the Plano, TX location at Park and Dallas Tollway. They had a some other replacement offers for $28 for both 360 and Wii but I can't recall exactly which titles (Rayman Rabids 2...?).

Correct. A long sticker I have never seen before on the back of the case.
 
I stopped at Target for a few minutes on Black Friday and noticed the clearance endcaps had been emptied of clearance stuff and had a bunch of boxes for some radio or something. I didn't stay long enough to look around to see if they were moved. And I couldn't check my stashed Rogue Galaxy since there was a bunch of people around the spot. Them plain clothes aren't gonna catch me if I don't do anything when anybody is watching!
 
At my local target they usually have two or three clearance end caps in the CD/DVD/Electronics area...during the holidays they often just have one...In the past, it seemed that not much got marked down between thanksgiving and christmas.

Which CA Target was this? I saw this thing too on the shelf with no price tag, so I tried to price scan it, but it wouldn't read the barcode at the scanner, nor at the checkout, so the guy had to type the number in and it came up at $29.99. Bah!

Also found 360 Fantastic Four which had a new sticker over the UPC, and it rang up as $9. Yes that's exactly $9.00, bit strange.

That was a part of an unadvertised sale for the holiday...all the games on that endcap were 9.00...most were DS games but there were a few 360 and PS3 games too...Two of the three targets I visited in the last two day didn't have any signs saying they were on sale. I imagine they will not be $9 come sunday morning
 
I saw Final Fantasy III ds and FF V and VI gba. I got so excited when I saw the red clearance stickers on the games but then I noticed the prices $27.98 for III and $20.98 for V and VI. lol

Yeah, I picked that up for my cousin for Christmas. The Target near me (Florida) also had the PS3 version for 9 bucks and I got that for me. They also had Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix for $14.97 and Shrek 3 for the 360 for $12.50.

Happened to find two copies in my Target and picked one up - seriously if you like Oblivion - Shivering isles just adds to the fun. =)

silver surfer was tagged 9.00 with the generic label on fri-sat rang up, today 19.99. for $#!7s and giggles i took off the generic ups and scanned the price, 9.98. i didnt buy it b/c i dont need it but just fyi
 
Moline, IL target had like 6 or 7 guitar hero 1s for 34.57 or something like that with the guitar.

I picked up Stalker for $7.48 and Animal Crossing for 9.98.

The PS2 DDR was down to $29.98, but I already have two pads. I'll get it at $14.94.

As for 360, Ratatouille, Meet the Robinsons, NHL 07, NCAA Football 07, Far Cry Instincts all dropped to 50% off. Also, 1600 Xbox Live points dropped to 10.00.

Forgot my barcode sheet to check the games I've been waiting on forever (I'm looking at you Burnout Dominator PS2), but I scanned a Godfather 360 and it's still 19.98.

I think I forgot to post this last week, but I found Burnout Revenge 360 for 30% at 20.98 last week.
 
jeez, my target's clearance section was overflowing....with crap. Most intriguing was a copy of FF3 DS for $27. Doubt it'll last until the next drop though.
 
At last, STALKER dropped to $7.48 at my Target! I picked up the last copy and I'll return it with last week's $14.98 receipt.

I'm not sure what to make of this game. I really like the idea of a FPS with a free-roaming world, and the art direction is nice, but the actual shooting controls seem pretty mediocre. Of course, I am a bit spoiled after just finishing up FEAR and Bioshock... FWIW, my brother loves the game and all he plays are FPS games.

Don't think this has been mentioned, but the items that were on the Halo 3 endcap seem to have gone clearance. I believe the 20 GB 360 HDDs went as well, all for 30% I believe.
 
My local Target had some great clearance deals on 11/24. I got 1600 Xbox Live points for $10, Moto GP 06 (Xbox 360) for $9.98, and Dragonball Z: Budokan Tenkaichi 2 (Wii) for $14.98. They also had Call of Duty 2: Big Red One (PS2) for $4.98, but I didn't pick it up since I already had it. They also had several copies of Rogue Galaxy (PS2) for 19.98, which is down from 27.99 just a few weeks ago. If the price drops again on it, I will probably pick it up.
