This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

For the San Diego CAGs, I saw at least 7 copies each of Stalker at $7.xx and Rogue Galaxy $19.xx at the Sports Arena Target.

SD CAG here. What Targets carry the most clearanced stuff? I've had decent luck finding stuff in the East County I couldn't find elsewhere...
 
Saw 3 red steels, 1 rogue galaxy and a bunch of various sports games for the wii, ps3 and 360.....tons of them.

All were the prices previously reported.

I've only been really looking at the clearance stuff at Target recently but as far as I can tell it's a crapshoot. Sometimes you'll see a bunch of what's been listed here, sometimes you don't.

Thats why this is a yuge YMMV.... I just picked up Tetris Evolution for the 360 for $14.99 at my target yesterday.. Good game for the wife and I to play (Once we beat Mario Galaxy togegther that is)

It should have been 13 or 15 or something (75% off), and some people have gotten to name their price for it when the cashier asks what it was. Some employees will take it from you and say it's not sellable because it is marked for salvage. You can also have them use a hand scanner because it will still read the last price in the system for the item. Where in the range of name your own price to not being able to buy it depends on the level of knowledge and attitude of the cashier. I've never been able to name my own price, but I've talked one into letting me buy it at last scanned price when they didn't want to sell it at all.
 
Any drops today? Was going to take a spin over after work to check out a couple game prices (FFVI and DOAX2).
 
I found Virtua Tennis 3 for the ps3 at 19.99, scanned showed some thing like "ps3 2day" I picked it up, I'll think about it over the next 3 months.

I found Fantastic 4 silver surfer for 19.99. Didn't have a generic sticker or anything plain upc. I wouldn't take it if it was 6 bucks.

my target had tons (atleast 10)of Pool Party for the Wii. I did't get a chance to scan price but I'll do it later when I come back to pick up drugs.

I was hoping to find teh zelda guide but all the guides are gone or they moved them somewhere I couldn't find.

I saw some stuff there today. Stranglehold for the PC was $24.98. Didn't that just come out? I finally saw Lost Planet for $14.98. I'm going to wait it out one more week. If anyone gets Animal Crossing for cheap let me know. I might buy it from you.

I picked up an AC last week here in Atlanta, and there were a couple more left. I could try to grab one tonight or tomorrow, maybe. I'll report back if I do.

Can't find either pc title (Strangelhold or Lost Planet) at 3 stores in my area (either full price or they don't carry it), so this particular sale is store specific.

Target Clearance isn't store specific; it just depends on when it comes to your store. If they have Lost Planet there, it will be on clearance eventually. If you can't find it at your store it's because they're OOS.
 
no markdowns this week on my end. i did go ahead and pick up Prey for 360 for 14.98. there was only one copy left and i read somewhere in this forum that 50% will be the lowest markdown now at target? is that true? hope not.

I've had the best luck at the El Cajon store, the Lemon Grove store, and the Mission Valley store. Santee and Grossmont sometimes have some good pickings, but really with all of these it tends to be hit or miss.

It all depends on your store. One of the targets I go to will go as low as 85%.
 
thanks daminion. Yea, i've seen some down to 75%. There seems to be two different types of cleareance there, stuff that's been on clearance forever and stuff that gets clearanced out each week. I'm still waiting on a few games to go lower, and i've been waiting for like 3 months now...

Da Vinci Code may have, too. And for a new wrinkle to confuse everyone Gamecube Madden 07 dropped from 50 to 65% off this week. Thanks Target! Just try and watch your Target and note the pattern is really the best advice. I guess if it's something you really want you can buy at 50% and buy again if it hits 75 and return the 50% item.

It depends:
* Sometimes the store will mix them in with the regular games. You will see little red stickers on the games.
* Most commonly, they will be put on some end-cap in the general area --- you will have to walk through the isles (or ask an employee) to find where they are stacked, and sometimes they get moved around on a weekly basis. I've found these end caps in the books, toys, and sporting games departments.
* Sometimes, both of the above will happen.
* Sometimes, NONE of the above happens.

You basically have to get around your Target long enough to really understand its personality.

I just checked one of my Targets, and the prices were mostly unchanged from last week. Animal Crossing GC was still $9.98, and FFV GBA was still $14.98. There was one new game added, GRAW 2 for the 360 at $41.98.
 
There were no video game drops at the Target I go to but I did find a 12 pack of TDK T-120 6 hour long blank vhs tapes for $2.50.:)

And hope your Target's personality isn't passive-aggressive like mine. They ship out all the good 50% off stuff right before it hits 75%. :bomb:
 
Forgive me if this has been posted already.

Today I picked up NBA Homecourt (X360) for $20.98. I had been watching it drop from $40.98, $30.98, to finally $20.98 and I picked it up.

My local Target doesn't seem to go below $20.98 for Xbox 360 games- after that price they get pulled or sent back or whatever. I bought All Pro Football a few weeks ago for $20.98 and they had tons of copies, the next week they were all gone.

Still waiting for TMNT to drop to around $20.
 
Like others I saw Lost Planet PC 20.98 and Stranglehold PC @ 30% off and 360 GRAW2 41.98.

I can confirm these didn't drop here: PS2 Burnout Dominator, 360 Godfather, 360 Blitz.

All versions except the 360 of The Bigs was 30% off. The 360 version may be clearanced, too, but the employees didn't want to squeeze behind the GIANT structural support post that blocks half of the 360 game section and tag it.

Also, Stuntman Ignition for 360 and PS3 were 41.98. Another fast drop into clearance although I don't think it did well.
