This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

I saw quite a few of these out on display (probably 30-40 copies) at my local Target today, priced with the red clearance tag at $29.50. I'm still debating it....a bit burnt out on the series, yet the collector scum in me is easily tempted...

I just wish Target would do clearance off of the current retail prices and not the original retail prices.

ie: Trauma Center Wii for $24.98 @ 50% off...should've been $14.98--$25 is only $5 off current retail >_<

You just need to learn to stash the good games you want. Grab a copy of everything you want to buy at 75% off and stash it under an endcap or behind a wave of Bratz PS2 games on those red cardboard game cases at the end caps--there is a nice little hole to hide games in those...Also take off the clearance tag and just put it with the rest of the $20 game in the endcap--that works pretty good too. All 3 of those methods will buy you way more time than if you just stash a game in the car or tool section =P

If anyone finds an extra copy of Stalker, I'd be willing to buy it for $15.

My Target lost power the other day. I went there to pick up a couple perscriptions and a few other things we needed and the freezer/fridge section was emply. The sign said they weren't working correctly b/c of a power outage (of course one of the things I needed to get was milk!).
 
If anyone bought a 2 pack of the PS2 memory cards for 50-75% off and have a semi current receipt, please post either a scan of it or PM me about grabbing it, since I'd like to try and PM it locally to me. LMAO

What can I say, I'm a true cheapass at heart who's annoyed that my local stores either yanked or sold out of those so quickly.

And yes, that means my local Target stores were barren of anything good. Hell, even the Collectors Edition versions of WOW Burning Crusade went POOF since 2 weeks ago.

The one Target by me has one of the older packaged Logitech Wireless controllers for PS2 still on the hook in the main game section, so I'll just leave it there and hope it keeps dropping and no one buys it.

I'd like to have another one, even though I never use the one I have NOW since I sit right next to my PS2 and use the wired controller.

BTW, has anyone seen these 'new' PS2 controllers they have out now? They're from Sony, but called something weird, like Dual Force or something. They look slightly bigger than a Dual Shock 2, but I think that may be it, in that it doesn't HAVE the vibration motors in them, since they're still selling the DS 2's right next to them.
 
I just called with a DCPI to see what was up for today, and was told items are still at 50% and the dude looked at his "PVI" and said stuff was sticking at 50%
 
I've had the worst luck at the Mall 205-area Target in Portland, OR. A lot of CAGers must go there right when new drops are announced :)

Oh well. I still keep up with this thread and hope that someday I'll get a decent deal @ Target.
 
Company of Heroes (original) $15. I was surprised, if anything the local targets are higher than most prices cited at CAG.

Lost Planet has not been clearanced at my Target. They have many copies for the typical $29.99.

Can anyone tell me if DOAX 2 dropped today? I hid myself a copy and hope it dropped to around $7.98.

Actually, it wasn't as efficient as I thought. I called 3 stores just to make sure I wasn't dealing with an incompetent employee or two. Then, I went to one anyways because I was in the neighborhood.

The employees had to physically go to the endcap and look at the %, because when I gave them the DCPI the clearance price didn't show up, so they didn't know the percentage. Apparently the way Target updates things is that employees will go to the endcap and scan EVERYTHING and the gun will print out a new price sticker if its dropped. I'd think there was a better way.

Picked up the first Trauma Center for the Wii at 24.99. Looking forward to replaying the Trauma Center DS I got at Circuit City for 16.99.
 
360 Call of Juarez is now 65% off (21.98 I think)

I still don't know if Homecourt is worth it.

360 Godfather and PS2 Burnout Dominator did NOT drop again.

There were a bunch of Memorex 4GB mp3 players marked 30% off from 80.xx to 60.xx a week ago and I stashed one. Scanned it today and it rang up 110.99. All the rest were gone from the endcap and after seeing the price I checked the mp3 player section only to find some there. What's the chance of them selling to me on a mistag?

Also, I think I found the issue with Popcap Games. I found one that wouldn't scan at the selfscanners, handscanners or register. It had a funky looking bar code. They typed in the UPC # and got the correct information and price unfortunately. I left it in hopes that it would get an As Is sticker for next time.

Oh it is if your a NBA fan or have played and liked previous NBA Street games. $15 is a steal in my opinion. Then again, if your Target has stacks of the game, you might as well stash one and see if the price plummets even further.

That must be why the games I looked at were the same price as they were yesterday. I'll be trying tomorrow anyway, I just hope the games are still there.
 
Well, apparently games are only done on Mondays or sometimes Thursdays (Mon is electronics dept, but thursday is movies/music, not sure why games wasnt lumped in with that). Though for some reason, I remember an earlier drop happening on a weekend.

Also, anyone else noticing weird percentages? Target usually sticks with 30-50-75%, but Ive seen a few things 65% and 85% for some odd reason. Harry Potter Phoenix PS3 was $7.xx (85% off)

my target had a front lane end cap (way up front by the entrance registers) with gba & ds games for $9.99 and $14.99. dba games weren't much, but they did have sonic rush, puzzle quest, spyro, some pinball game and a few other ds ones at the $14.99 price point.

back in electronics they had xenosaga 2, malice, from russia w/ love and other ps2 crap for $9

I was hoping Trauma Center would stick around long enough to drop below that price but I think all of the moms shopping for the kiddies for Christmas picked up all but Tony Hawk for the Wii at my store.

Definitely worth $15. The game is a blast. Although defense is somewhat broken as nearly every shot can be goal-tended. Don't let that dissuade you though, the game is extremely fun.

Today I picked up a Gamecube 1019 memory card - $7.48
Also TH:pG LE X360 - $29.50.

Haven't opened TH yet though. Anybody have it? The reveiws are so-so.
 
I returned my $20.98 copy of NBA Homecourt X360 and rebought as it's now $14.98.

Also picked up Tony Hawk Proving Ground LE for $29.50. This game is less than 3 weeks old (Target's exclusive Limited Edition version) and was $60 last week. I'll return/rebuy if it goes lower, but I have a feeling they'll disappear before that happens.
 
saw nba hc for 360 for $14.98. i almost pick it up. also saw magical starsign and rocket slime, final fantasy fables chocobo for $14.98
 
any socal target deals? the only one i could find worth picking up was Shivering Isles PC for $13 and change. Still hoping to find some kind of DOA or Oblivion PS3 for 14.98 or below.
 
Picked up LOTR Online: Shadow of Angmar for &.48 today (PC) at the Crystal Lake, IL target. It rang up for 29.99, but had a 7.48 clearance sticker on it and they gave it to me for that price anyway.
 
Wow. Right after I say THPG:LE will be a big YMMV I find one. Of course, it was the first store out of five to actually have it clearanced.
Also saw all three of the following did NOT drop this week:

360 Virtua Tennis 3 24.98
360 Amped 3 14.98
 
A lot of those REDCARD gift things are on clearance here...tony hawk game, def lepard guitar, american idol karoke machine, etc. Since tony hawk's first drop was 50% does this mean it will eventually hit 90%? I'm watching about ten copies just collecting dust and wondering how low will they go.
