This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Thanks OP for updating the prices on that main page. I picked up TC:SO when it hit $24.98 (returned my $34.98 copy for another in stock to save the $10) and hoped to do the same after Monday's drop.

Good thing I held on to it - the 20 copies my Target had were ransacked after the drop. Either everyone was watching this one or a hoarder hit it hard on Monday. Seems like a steal at $25, so no complaints here.

I picked up DOAX2 for $7.48 at the Lennox store in Columbus, OH. Superman, Eragon and DOAX2 were about the only 360 games left. It's up for trade or will go on Goozex if anyone's interested.
 
Amongst a lot of crap, there's still one more PC Version of Lost Planet at the Transit Road Target location in Amherst, NY. It's ticketed at 20.98, but scanned at 7.98 - so I snagged the second to last copy.

FYI, there's one or two Rogue Galaxies left, and they've been priced at the $20 mark for weeks, so I would not be surprised if they were actually cheaper than that as well - I already own it, so I didn't bother to scan a copy.
 
Like many of you, I went to my local Target today and turned up completely empty. They had literally hundreds of clearance games last week and now everything's gone. Holiday season is a bad time to go clearance shopping. That's the lesson learned here :)

Picked up a copy as well here in the Los Angeles Area Target. They had a lot of copies. Seems like a good deal, seing how the regualr version is $50.

Hey guys, I'm thinking of updating the "Added" date next to each item whenever the price is update. I figured it may be confusing when there's a game added, say in October with the month being December and it showing as incredibly cheap. As though it was 4.98 back in October (when it wasn't)
Ideas? Should I? It is more trouble but I don't want the list to be misleading.
 
Did ANYONE get any DS games? I was like 0 for 8, and a bunch of those Targets had a boatload of DS games. I saw stacks of ps2 and 360 games, but not a single DS game in stores that had tons of them. Im wondering if they got pulled at 50%.

And I have an extra FFVA for trade for a FFVIA

At the target near me (south Charlotte on Tryon near Ft. Mill, SC) everything was gone pretty much. They ahd about 5 copies of Tony Hawk: Proving Ground Limited for $29.99 but that was it. Just a week ago they had alot on clearance but now the games are all gone out of the store. Also, all the games mentioned on here were not to be found...I'm thinking they all went to salvage (I doubt they all got sold....)

Sounds great. Thats how the reduced price guides thread is and its very convenient. I'm not trying to volunteer you for work, but it might be easier on you if you just made one date, then list all the added games below for that date, and so on.
 
Absolutely none of the 360 games listed at the Pineville-Matthews Mathews Township Parkway, Rea Road, or South Blvd. Targets in Charlotte except Virtua Tennis 3 ($19.99 at each so no clearance) and the new Tony Hawk LE for $29.99.
 
not clearance but my target has puzzle quest ds behind the glass marked as 14.99 i think its missed marked gonna go back and get one maybe two if anyone wants one pm me before 12pm est

YMMV way to much to list anythign in one report. I went to 3 different targets yesterday and all of the clearance games were different and differently priced.

Some Targets have frontlane DS/GBA games - Puzzle Quest is one of those at $14.99. Still an awesome game at an even more awesome price.
 
Just got back from the Eastlake Parkway Target in San Diego, CA. Picked up the last Rogue Galaxy for 9.98. Passed up a bunch of 50 Cent Bulletproof (PS2) at 4.98 each, and a couple of NHL 08 (X360) at 24.98 each. Plus some random PC Games. They also had one set of the PSP Component Cables at 9.98.
 
I picked up one of the last copies of Armored Core 4 X360 ($14.98) and the last copy of Killzone: Liberation PSP ($9.98) last night from the Garner, NC Target out in the Kroger Shopping Center. I spent a total of $24.01 on them with my 10% Target Team Member discount.

The LE Tony Hawk game was part of their Wow or Never event after Thanksgiving. That's why there's tons of copies left over now.

I just nabbed final fantasy 3 for 10 bucks and final fantasy 5 for 7.50. Never played either of them so I should be set for handheld rpgs for quite some time.

Found hack GU vol. 2 for $9.96.

The clearance endcap looked like about 5000 people had rummaged through it. It was in total disarray and nothing but complete junk left, but there on the bottom was a lone copy of hack. I was in total shock that they had something I wanted.
 
Geez my Target's clearance aisles are like old, childesh, PS2 games. The 360 games are "clearanced" at like $30! I might go back after seeing all the replies on this thread though...

Also I second the NHL08 recommendation! Best hockey game I have ever played and definitely worth $60. Any price less is a steal!
 
Nabbed the last Rogue Galaxy at mine for $10, a GBA Final Fantasy 5 for $7 and change, as well as a Wii copy of Alien Syndrome for $12. Despite it's suckiness I'm thinking it should be worth that much, right?

Are you sure it wasn't NHL 07?

I have seen that on clearance for $25.
 
My local store had Far Cry Instints ($14.98), Ratatouille $12.98, Gun $9.98, Need for Speed $7.48. Nice!

Weirdly another Target store had Meet the Robinsons for full price while another store had it for $9.98.
 
LOTR Battle for Middle Earth 2 (360 RROD) - $14.98

My store had about a million copies of these left.

THPG CE are going FAST at my Target. They're tagged at $29.98 and there are only two left. Everything sells at mine, that's why I make sure to hide the shit I want beforehand. Even doing that there's still a chance someone might find it and snap it up.
 
I was at the new Target in Sterling West off of Route 28 in Northern VA and found something very interesting. I found FF:ROTSS for the 360 for $2.54 red tag clearance tagged. Found another copy of the same game however this didn't have the movie ticket (like the clearance one did) and it had another UPC sticker covering the original one. I did a scan of both on the scanner machine.. The clearance one came up 2.54 and the one with the new sticker over it was coming up 19.99. I asked one of the electronics people to scan both. The 2.54 one said DO NOT SELL on his LRT scanner, but the 19.99 came up fine. I asked him why was this happening on the exact same title. He couldn't tell me but told me to go to the register and they will tell me.

So I took it up to the register monkey and as soon as she run it up, it gave her a DO NOT SELL screen and asked for a manager code. She asked for a manager, the manager came , saw the screen and took out the print out code the machine spit out and then took the game away and walked away without explaining what's going on. I asked her the reason why and she said she couldn't tell me. Then another manager came and gave me this weird excuse that the game is being recalled because from what he read on a "message board" on all systems because people are buying them and finding out they are blank discs....oooooooook Yet this game has been out for months. I asked him what the deal was with the 19.99 one. He couldn't tell me either but told me they aren't suppose to be on the floor(yet I have seen this at several targets in my area). So I told him so basically you are not willing to sell me a 3 dollar game, but your willing to sell me that same game for 20 bucks??!?!?

He paused for a few seconds...GOT HIM!!! then he typed in a few keys and said "Merry Christmas" and gave me the 19.99 one for 2.54 and walked away with the "recalled one"

So.......what the fuck happened? Is this recall true?

I read it's a bad game, but the flip value is 7+30% at eb.
 
Btw, my local Targets are out of most of the clearanced items. I wanted to try and get the Halo 3 controllers since they were on clearance for $29.88 at some stores. My friend did spot them (still priced at $59.99 at a store), but when he scanned them, they were already not listed in the computer. He was going to try and get them somehow to sell it to him for cheaper, but I doubt it will work since they aren't labeled as clearance and they aren't in the Target computers now. :/
 
I was at Target in Orange, CT and found a new display on a front endcap in the electronics department. There are about four shelves with red cardboard boxes and they have games for pretty much all systems.

Most of the prices and titles weren't too hot (Godfather Wii for 24.98), but there were several copies of Ghost Squad that came up as not being in the store inventory. A pass through the LRT by one of the employees and they came up at $12.46. I picked up two copies, one as a gift.

The game rang out as being a Target.com item, but it was weird because there were several copies of the game in the display, which leads me to believe that it's part of the display, not some random return by a customer put back out on the floor.
 
I saw about 20-30 copies of Trauma Center: Second Opinion for 12.xx at my Target, are they worth picking up for trade fodder and I hit the lucky load or are they in abundance everywhere??
