This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

where the hell are you guys getting these games at these prices? i went last night to my target and nba street homecourt (listed for $4.98 here) rang up as $29.99. same for virtua tennis 3 for the 360...

i pleaded my case to the manager but he was having none of it :(
 
I saw Tony Hawk CE for 29.99 for 360, Graw 2 for PC was still 34.99. I'll pick either or both of these up when they hit 19.99. Thats the Norman, OK Target. The clearance game section is tiny now.

Try living in Texas. If you live somewhere where you don't have to deal with many of them, you have no idea what it's like having a bunch of dirty poors around who generally don't speak english, are rude, and have no respect for laws or personal property.

For the most part this doesn't apply to hispanics born in the US, but the actual Mexicans here who have entered the country illegally are terrible and I wouldn't complain if they were shot on site at the border. Again, this has NOTHING to do with race because nobody minds US born Hispanics who speak English...rather it is a cultural thing of not wanting to live around the dirty crime-committing non english speaking no car insurance poors who enter the country illegally.

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with this. Well, not the shot at the border thing. I sometimes wonder if I were to travel to Mexico, if everybody there would be rude and inconsiderate, because it seems that most (not all, I have mexican-born friends) are completely rude and don't give a crap about anybody else's property. Or any store's property.
 
YES!!! Picked up Ghost Squad for 9.99. Found a few copies by the end aisles, no price on them, scanned them and came up 'item not found'. Asked the Electronics kid, he said they might be recalled, but customer services could help me out. The lady at CS asked me to name a price, I said 10 or 12, she then rang it up for 9.99!!!!! - Green Bay, WI

Anyway, my store had NBA Homecourt for the PS3 with a generic UPC of 29.99. Would it be immoral to remove the UPC and get the game for its clearance price? What would you do, CAG?

I would not commit low-level fraud, which is what removing the UPC and trying to get it cheaper would be.

Besides, you may be able to find the PS3 Homecourt at BB as a frontlane game, and be able to use the "$10 off any PS3" coupon from the BB coupon thread...
 
My Target had a couple PS3 Untold Legends for $12.48 and a bunch of PS3 NHL 2K7's for $7.48. I passed on both, although if the NHL game drops one more time I'll probably pick it up. From what I've read, Untold Legends for PS3 isn't even worth $12.xx.

Wasn't it on clearance close to 2 months ago? If so it's probably out of the system and when it prompts the cashier to enter a price, they'll just enter the sticker price of $29.99
 
Just went to my Target and they had 2 copies of Ghost Squad for 12.xx each.

Its strange because they had them labled with a repackage sticker but it was never opened, i guess Target stores hate the fact of having a game in their store calledl Ghost Squad lol.
 
It is amazing how fast Ghost Squad went on clearance seeing it is only like a month or so old. If I had a Wii I would snag up on this seeing it is like the Time Crisis games...

Target seems to be clearing out new products pretty quickly these days. I thought the same thing about the PSP slim headphones and AV cables. A month or so after those accessories had come out and they were over in the clearance endcap.
 
Just bought Ghost Squad for 14.98. I also bought NBA Homecourt for 14.98. When Ghost Squad wouldn't scan, I told the cashier they were in the same section.

Also saw Stuntman for the 360 at 29.98.

All at Streamwood supertarget.
 
What I'm really wondering about is why so many stores are apparently using the "as is" stickers specifically for copies of Ghost Squad when they aren't actually damaged or opened items. It seems to go against the general idea of "as is" stickering.
 
Saw Stuntman Ignition a few days ago for $20.xx down from $29.xx. Still a little too much for me, I'll check to see if it's still there at $12.xx.

This seems to be a big mistake like the Popcap Games issue, but on a much grander scale. I'm guessing that they will get the barcode in the system soon. It seemed to me that Popcap's problem was the actual barcode itself as it wouldn't scan, but if the number was typed in it would come up in the system.

The "As-Is" sticker on my copy of Ghost Squad said specifically that it was a website return. I've also gotten similar "As-Is" stickers on a CD (new one by Operation Ivy) and DVD set (some 3 DVD horror collection). I'm not saying all these copies of Ghost Squad are website returns (they are obviously not), but that they also use that sticker when someone returns a website item to the store and the store doesn't carry it.

I scored Excite Truck at my local Target for $12.48 today. Of course it was still stickered $49.99. Others might want to check and see if it's dropped further from the $24.98 listed in the OP.

I saw some Wii Classic controllers for $14.xx with the AS IS sticker...although these may have been opened. I was tempted to get one, but I passed as someone may have had their dirty hands on it ;)

Excite Truck for that price is an absolute steal. Then again, I thought it was a steal for $49.99. :)

Nope. It's a new release. I had to have an employee at Target try and use his hand scanner to try and find anything about it since the price wasn't coming up on the scanners for customers. Retail price I think was around $30. Very weird this is happening all over.

just picked it up today and have been playing it straight. It's fun without the zapper and plays fine, but i'd sure like to get one just to get into the game a bit more.

well the zapper is 19.49 at target this week, i just got mine today.
 
My Target has a bunch of Ghost Squad, but they are put in a section with a bunch of $29.99 games and it doesn't have any clearence price tag on them.... :(

Try to buy one. Worst that could happen is they try to charge you full price, in which case you say no thanks.

I was going to get Dead or alive extreme 2 for 7.48, but I knew that it was considerably worse reviewed than the first one, and frankly, even though it was cheap achievement points, I wasn't really sure I wanted the game in my library (uberguilty pleasure).

Oh well, I've still got my CoD4 sealed on my desk waiting to get played, so I'm not regretting the decision.

Yep, I'd say it's definitely worth $7.48. Pretty fun old Sega games and you can use it as a plug n play for your TV.
 
I bought Tony Hawks Proving Ground limited edition for the 360 for $29.98 today at the target in Southfield Michigan. It wasn't on the regular clearance racks but it was on the same endcap that had the cheap wii and GBA games.
 
I'm starting to think that THPG won't ever drop from $30. I may have to buy it at 30, there's only like 7 left.

But then again, if it survived the holiday rush..
