This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Just picked up Stranglehold and GRAW 2 on the PC for $12.xx each at the Scottsdale, AZ Target. No copies of Ghost Squad for Wii, Lost Planet for PC, and THPG was marked at $59.99 still.

It's still $30 in Atlanta and it's vanishing in some stores. Doesn't seem like a great deal to me since I know it SHOULD drop to 15, but I guess if you're a big fan of the series it is a killer deal.

I don't know why, but the San Jose Target on Mckee had all their games shoved into a glass case. I asked an employee if I can look at some of the games, but he was an ass so I just asked to look at a bunch of random games and left. Normally I don't do that, but with his attitude, screw him.

On the plus side, picked up Valkyrie Profile Lenneth (PSP) for 7.50 ^__^
 
$29.50 THPG here as well.

Another Target also had THPG in the case with no sticker.

Passed on Meet The Robinsons at 9.98.. I may go back and get it when it drops to 4.98, if it's still there.. which I doubt it will be.
 
My Target just put up an end cap for games at lower prices, they aren't calling them clearanced, but that what it really is. The end cap has spots for PS3, 360, Wii and DS games, but they didn't have any 360 games stored their yesterday. The PS3 was mostly sports titles (which I believe are $15), so here's a quick run down of what I remember seeing.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (PS3) - $30
F.E.A.R. (PS3) - $30
Genji: Days of the Blade (PS3) - $30
Chicken Little (Wii) - $30

Well I scanned Ghost Squad and THPG:CE this morning and GS rang up as $29.99 (rats!) and THPG:CE rang up as $29.50. Guess I'll have to wait for a drop here but they had like 5 copies of THPG:CE left.

I also noticed that Ghost Squad had been re-stickered with a new barcode and $29.99 on the back.

And yet again no Overlord in sight! That's 3 stores I've struck out with. I'm jealous at the person who found it on clearance.
 
Wow, Target finally noticed Ghost Squad was messed up? I hope it's good. I'm sitting on a 12.xx copy for when I get a Wii. A spare is hanging around on my tradelist.
 
My Target has quite a few copies of THPG:LE for $14.75 if anyone's interested. For those of you who might be local it's the new Target in Alabaster, AL. If you're not local and want a copy lmk and I'll pick it up.

Odd! Did they just start doing that? I don't go there often, but I did a couple of weeks ago (I live farther north --- Fremont area). When i was there, I didn't see a glass case.

Do they keep PC games in there too?

From what I hear, it's not a bad title at all. I think it just didn't sell as well as it should have. I'm hoping to find a store that's not in the "loop" and have them marked incorrectly.

First, saw the following all 360 confirming no new drops on these I think:

Picked up Tetris cause you gotta have one for each system, right? I'll check and make sure that I wouldn't rather have Tetris splash or whatever instead.

Here's where Target has blessed me with kindness. To preface this I have to say that it seems to be very YMMV.

:xbox: Logitech Precision Wireless Controller 75% off @ $9.98! \\:D/

I found this at a Target I rarely go to and out of 8 Targets that I check a lot because I'm regularly right next door, 7 still have at least one on the shelf, but at ALL of the 7 other stores it still rings up 39.99 this week. It's not As Is marked, in fact it wasn't marked clearance at all the whole time and it was still on its usual peg. I scanned it on a whim 2 or 3 weeks ago and was stunned when it rang up 19.98! Sorry, I would have reported this earlier, but I really wanted it at 9.98 and there was only one and there is competition in the area and all and I didn't want to blow my cover. I really figured the store was ahead of the other stores clearance schedules, but I can't imagine it's ahead of all stores reported here, especially when THPG LE is still 29.50 there. Anyway, it's YMMV in Atlanta so I have no idea about everywhere else and I highly recommend it. I love my PS2 version even more than the Dualshock and have heard nothing but great reports on the Xbox version as well.

Has anyone in the bay area find MLB 2k7 for the ps3?

I've tried finding it a most targets in San Jose, expect for the oakridge one, no dice. Everytime I head to fremont to see my GF I get sidetracked and forget. :)
 
Found NCAA March Madness 07 for $14.98 at another Target today. Picked up a couple of other things but they're already on the list. I'm starting to love and hate Target all at the same time. :)

I saw a few MLB 2k7 at my target about 2 weeks before xmas. Seems that most targets were picked cleaned between xmas and new years...but strangly enough they still have plenty of the dragon ball wii game. I personally wanted MLB 2k7 and was holding out for it to price drop from it's 27.xx but some ass clown BOUGHT it at that price :( Oh well I just will wait for the CC price drop to 16.xx right?

I could swear I remember seeing them, but now they're in cases with no tags which doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Went today to look for Xmen and some others but no luck. They did have a stack of THPG:LE for 14.75(in Topeka, Kansas) so I picked up 3 copies. If anyone wants to buy/trade for these PM me.
 
My Target had a huge stack of the TH:pGLEs for $29.50... meh. Was hoping for $14.75 like everyone else, to give as late Christmas presents. Oh well.

I *did* pick up a copy of NBA Street Homecourt (360) for $14.98 though. It was still in the glass case with the regularly priced games. Score.

I'm pretty sure they are a Target only title. They were originally meant to be a prize in some contest they were running.

Some PC games were on the clerance shelves in the PC game area. And maybe 2 or 3 (Shivering Isle and the Ship) were stuck in the case with the other clearance games.

They were used in a promotion. During the week after Thanksgiving (I think) if you used your Target Visa card and bought certain items (THPGCE was one of them) you would have a chance to win certain prizes. I don't know what the Tony Hawk prize was, but I know if you bought a certain star wars exclusive you would have chance to have an action figure made from you likeness.

Since it was a one week promotion, the targets are now littered with this special edition of Tony Hawk. It was almost immediately after the promotion, they dropped in price.

It's kinda like last year when they had those "exclusive" unique gifts like the Zelda replica sword and shield kits and the Tony Hawk Underground packs that came with a skateboard. They got stuck with a crapload of them and they all hit the clearance racks.
 
Last year was an awesome clearance...I remember getting two Zelda swords and shields for $5 each and 2 12 month xbox live starter kits for $15 each. Anyways, I just got Tony Hawk Proving Ground for $14.50 at the Central Park Target in Fredericksburg, VA. They have an S-load of them in the regular game case with no price tag underneath, just make sure you get the LE edition with the card board sleeve not the regular edition. Funny that my local Target still has them at $29.
 
I finally picked up Ghost Squad for 12$ last night, I had been shot down at other Targets by clerks who were smart enough to search for the price by DCPI. I just told the clerk they were on clearance, and he rang them up as general merchandise.

Still waiting on TH to drop here in South CA
 
Tony Hawk is down to only 2 copies at 29.99 in Norman...Maybe monday will bring a price drop (crosses fingers) and maybe there will be a copy left for me.
 
I didn't find Ghost Squad at target today but did get a V-Rocker gaming chair clearanced to 34.98. Its 39.99 down from 49.99 on the website incase anyone is interested in a new gaming chair.
 
Picked up Ghost Squad and Prince of Persia: Rival Swords today...

They are up for trade if anyone is interested.

It took the manager about 20 mins to find prices(they weren't in the system), the first kid looked up the DCPI on PoP and it showed up 44.96, then the manager looked them up and adjusted the prices manually.
 
On Monday, four different area stores with different formats had Ghost tagged properly at $29.99. Good luck to all still nabbing this deal
 
Agghh I want a Ghost Squad, me and a bud could have al ot of fun with that game but I can't dig it up at any Target I hit. :(
 
Went to another target and THPGCE is still 29. I will try again on Monday.

I am hoping Stuntman (360) drops again in price as well.

Looks like I will making a drive down to Fredricksburg to grab a copy or two. Thanks for the heads up I have no issue making the 45 min drive down if I can swing this.
