This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

I got the only one they had, and it was hell to get too.
 
I got lucky and found the last copy of Ghost Squad at the Target on South Street in LBCA. I scanned it and it said not in the system. So luckily there were two clerks that were re-stocking in the games and asked to check the price because it wasn’t scanning. The guy checked it in the DCPI, it came up as $12.46 and he had the girl ring it up at that price.

The DCPI number FYI is 241132461.

241132461? That's weird cause my investigation earlier this week (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3772121&postcount=2126)
found two DPCI's (3 if you count that red sticker one). That DPCI you mentioned is the online one, which was listed as 29.99. Hmm what's going on?
 
Found a copy of 1701 AD at the Target near me. The clearance sticker on it said 19.99, but when I self-scanned it, it said 0.00 for the price. What would they charge me for it if I bought it?

If the management was a bitch, they will say they can't sell it. If they don't care they might give it to you for under 10 bucks.
 
Went to my local target today; Checked the side bin for discount games; Oblivion for PS3 was $30, and they had Def Jam Icon there, but said it wasn't in the system anymore and that they couldn't sell it to me. Oh, well, probably a bad game, anyway (Icon)

Found plenty of Target clearance stuff at my local Goodwill.

I grabbed Tony Hawk for $14.75 and Ghost Squad for $12.48
 
I finally came upon Nba homecourt for hte ps3 at my target. Only thing it scanned at 29.99.

No generic UPC label. I would've loved to have picked it up for 5 bucks.
 
While I would have prefered the 14.98 price , I got it for 19.99 , still worth it , will be sweet when I et my nyko's on monday.

I first tried getting Ghost Squad yesterday night, but I got a lot of drama , 3 works at the register department gave me a hard time. Ghost Squad wouldn't scan , and they said the clearance price is $29.99 , I was like yeah right, I argued with them for a while , and they used the gun to scan it , and it said " Online Only" and said I had to talk to the Costumer Service People for a price , and they called a regional store , and they didnt had a price , so they called target.com folks, and said it was 29.99 , I was like what ever.

I said to my self i'll come back tomorrow , I'm sure they rotate their workers, This morning 1 of the electronics guys was there , I was like this guy is going to recognize me , this is not going to be good , so I sneaked the game to the regular cash registers infront of the stores , and the clerk their scanned nothing and I told him its on clearance , without any hesitation he marked down 19.99 , at this point iwas going to fight 5 bucks . Also alien syndrome scanned nothing , but that game sucks I think. YMMV BIG TIME. 2 more copies are left of Ghost Squad there , 1 in the Glass , 1 outside in the clearance pile.

Just wondering, how long has the game been clearanced for $5? I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for it.

Yeah, I had heard it wasn't that good but I oddly enjoy a lot of games people don't like. Like PotC and Eragon on the 360, Untold Legends on the PS3.

Nothing wrong with Untold Legends (as long as you didn't pay $60 for it).
 
I was at my Target today. Pretty much nothing. No PC games on clearance. At first, I saw no console games on clearance, but after walking around, I found NBA Street Homecourt for $29.98 and The Godfather for $24.98. Both on the PS3. No Ghost Squads anywhere.

However, my Target filled up the seasonal area, and an aisle at the end of the toy section, with clearance toys and games. Something that may be worth looking into for some CAGs is Guitar Star, the plug and play Guitar Hero ripoff with 10 songs. I want to say it was $14.98 but I might be wrong... Also, I saw the Golden Tee plug and play in the aisle but had no price. It may have been misplaced.

After searching 3 Targets, I finally found a Ghost Squad at the Target on Skillman in Dallas. I scanned it and it was not found in the system. I took the game up to the registers. I tried to find the one person who looked the most video game illiterate. When the game would not scan the sales associate was a bit surprised:

" I didn't even know we sold Wii games"
(Yay!)

She calls another sales associate to come and try and find a price. Five minutes later he comes back. I was ready for him to say "$12.46" but to my surprise he said "$19.99". I guess I was a little taken aback because he could tell the expression on my face :whistle2:?

He then said "What? Did you expect it cheaper?" Ah, so he knew it was cheaper, and he knew that I knew that. Then, he said "I can make it more expensive if you want," with a smirk on his face. I just said "No, thats fine, I'll take it." I bought it and left.

I just got a Wii and finding a pretty good game for $20 is definitely a plus. Thanks to the guys who pointed this deal out!

should have told him to use the hand scanner and show you the last inventoried price, which would be $12

Seems to be the theme for most stores these days. Their policies have gotten pretty bad of late, and attitudes even worse.
 
Went to my local target today and picked up Ghost Squad and Def Jam Icon (PS3) for $7.48 each. They were not in the system so the cashier put in all 9's as a code and then entered in his own price. I didn't say anything as I usually don't get that lucky.
 
A note about Ghost Squad.

At my Target, they are out in the "cheaper" game section ($29.99 or less, not in a glass case). There was a sticker underneath the game that said - Ghost Squad / Garfield $29.99

However, the game still doesn't scan. So I brought a copy to the front of the store and finagled it for 12.XX.
 
I went back to Target today to return a movie and got Stuntman Ignition PS3 for 29.98..They also had Dark Kingdom for 12.48..The Cardboard Display area where I got Ghost Squad for $14 a week ago has been removed completely.
 
Ghost Squad rang up $29.99 at the Target in Meriden, CT
I picked up John Woo's Stranglehold for the PC and hope my PC can run it decently as it was only $12.48. I figured it may drop even lower but for $12.48 i bit.

They had plenty of copies of Virtua Tennis 3 for 360 but it seemed to be priced at $19.99. I thought this was clearance?

Ghost Squad for Wii is back up to $29.99 at that location it appears as well.

The Newington, CT location had Stranglehold for $24.xx and Lost Planet for around the same price last week. I'm going to hold off unless it drops under $10 anyways because I already have it for the 360.

the list notes it as 4.98 back in late october, so about 2 months.

of course is varies by store, for hte most part if I hit all 5 targets within 15 minutes of me I'd find most of hte items for updated price.

Homecourt being the exception till now, and MLB 2k7.

Tony Hawk LE @ 14.75 (about 8-10 copies left)
Untold Legends Dark Kingdom PS3 @ $12.50 (last one)

Also saw a couple of Stuntman Ignitions clearanced, but didn't check the price.

No, that was when it was added. I figured it would be confusing so that's why I started doing the "price updated in" green. If you don't see a green "price updated" then the date listed is when the title was discovered to be clearanced.
Someone said that Homecourt was 4.98 sometime in late November or December, if I remember correctly.
 
I tried Ghost Squad and it came up as not in the system. They also have a shit ton of Tony Hawk Proving Grounds for $29.50.

Nice! Which store was this at? My store (off of I-35 and Chouteau) has been wiped clean of clearance games. A couple weeks ago they had a whole endcap full and then one day they vanished.

I went to the Target Great Land by Independence Center of Missouri. Still have 3-5 copies Ghost Squad (Wii) & 2-3 copies Madden 2007 (360). I'll stop by tomorrow & hope i run into the same cashier again. Also, they have 3 shelves PS3 games on Clearance w/o Sticker Tag on the endcap, i didn't checkout the price cos i have no PS3.

Cool I might have to head to Independence at some point this week and check it out. The two stores closest to me, I-35 & Chouteau and Liberty MO, have had nothing for the last couple weeks.

The target near me, all the game chashiers are afraid of getting fired, and keep sending me to CS. They insist the game is 49.99.

This is your weekly 360 Godfather and PS2 Burnout Dominator did not drop update. Also, 360 NCAA 07 (Football) is 0.00 as is 360 Burnout Revenge which I intended to return one day before closing and rebuy the next morning at 7.48, but have been too busy:bomb: Guess I'll chance that they may catch it and salvage it.
 
Tony Hawk CE still 29.99 at my target. They also added Def Jam ICON for both systems, NBA Homecourt and Tiger Woods 07 (both ps3) at that price. Also Madden 07 for 14.99 on ps3. Shitty prices for old sports games.

Tony Hawk oh why wont you drop?

Lucky you. The only Target that had Madden 07 refused to sell it to me because "it was not in their system, there for it should not have been on the floor." Then the manager grabbed the rest of the copies on the shelf and took them to the back. :whistle2:(
