This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

^^^I was at like 4 Targets yesterday and Jericho PS3 seems to be wildly YMMV. At one store, i saw it for like $38.98. Then $7.48. Then $14.98. Then $25.98. The PC versions were consisteantly $7x or $14x though.

I saw this and :psp: Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max get restocked at my local Target. in the loong non-glass case video game aisle. The new MMX price looks to be another :ds: Viewtiful Joe situation.

I also found a copy of Custom Robo DS there *with* the proper $9.99 shelf tag.

It looks like Target is getting new 'value' game shipments in with different games.
 
1 thing I've always wondered... what the heck does YMMV mean?! I know it generally means that the deals may not be applicable everywhere and may be on a store-by-store or associate-by-associate basis

For PC. Chance it could have been $14.xx too, so I'm not 100% positive about the price. Almost certain it was either $12 or $14 though.

I got Folklore for $42 but it was worth it, I really enjoyed it.

Better deal yet, I just got Blue Dragon for $15. It rang up $30 but it had the wrong ticket on it so I got it reduced to $15. :)

Everything dropped to 12.XX. All the PC games some are 7.XX like Heroes V.

When I bought Blue Dragon last weekend. It rang up at $15. All of the other targets around me still have it at $30.
 
Is anyone still able to pickup Folklore for the 15 dollar price? If so will any fellow CAG pick one up and ship it for 25 total? Thank you.

Halo ActionClix 2-pack from preordering Halo 3 was 2.49 clearance. er, 2.48. Has Arbiter/Master Chief. Figure someone here might play it, I grabbed the pack with intention to buy more at GenCon this year... Nothing good here sadly.. Monroe, MI Target had Jericho 360/PC for 35 or so still.

they have been sitting at those prices for about 3 weeks. I have a feeling Monday will be the drop. Do they usually label drops before the store opens, and if not, are they dropped in the system even if they haven't been relabeled?

I can't wait to get Thrillville off the rails (pc) for 7.xx. I am also think about Bee movie for 12.xx (still a little pricey, but this is a pretty damn good game for about 10 bucks)

Also not clearenced and already posted, but in the cheap games section Custom Robo Arena for the ds is 10. A great buy....I love this game.

PS3: Ninja Gaiden $29, GRAW2 - $20, Jericho - $25, Folklore - $29 & $41 at two different stores.

I picked up nothing....I may stop at another today as the Global Bazaar stuff is 75% off.

I think this is what normally happens. They don't update the sticker price, but it's $10 in the system (has happened to me with Rogue Galaxy at Target).
 
I saw Tabula Rasa for the PC at my local Target for $12.XX. For those of you who've played it, is it worth the $12.xx PLUS the monthly fee? How much is the monthly fee? Is there any kind of offline single player mode where you can hone your skills before you jump online?

I read somewhere that Tabula Rasa was a failure and that they plan on canning it soon. :(

Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably still buy it, read up on it, and if they are going to can it, just return it. But for $12.xx and a month of free online play included, I might be able to get some fun out of it.

It's $12.48 at mine and has been for a little while...I'm definitely picking it up if it hits $6.24, along with Timeshift. From what I've read, an 8 at the end signifies clearance, and a 4 means the final markdown. They don't seem to be going anywhere, but that's probably because my Target hides their clearance games in a corner away from the rest of their games.

Kane & Lynch is still $25 or so at mine.:cry: I've been wanting to try that.
 
for those on the fence about blue dragon, i grabbed it at $30 unsure but after playign it for 5 hours, i think its a very solid game, feels well worth the $30.
 
picked up Blue Dragon at my local Target for $14.96 or something. They had Folklore marked at $41.98. I should have scanned it to see if it was lower, but they had most of the clearence games in the case and there was no one around.

Don't get Kane and Lynch, it's horrible. They had two copies at my Target, one marked at $12 and one for $25, so it may be cheaper at your store. Still, don't buy it...it isn't worth it.

Kane and Lynch only gets bad at about the 1/2 way point.

Its worth 12 dollars though.

Get it for PC and not the trash console version.

It'd be helpful if other people posted DPCI #s so we could easily check prices at the price scanners.

bought Kane And Lynch as well as Timeshift for $12.48 a piece in Dallas, TX at the Target across from Valley View Mall off of 635 and Montfort.
 
I didn't see them listed on the first page, so I apologize if these were listed elsewhere. I just didn't feel like reading a hundred pages of replies. My Target has a bunch of greatest hits on clearance now. They have Socom 2 for 9.98, Shadow of the Collosus and Ghost Rider for 13.98 and a couple of others that I didn't take note of their prices like Dragonball Z.

Just wanted to say thanks for the heads up on the Cherry Hill, NJ store. Picked up a copy of Folklore and Thrillville, still plenty of Folklore's left at $14.98 for CAG's in the area.
