This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

I am going to check (started snowing really bad, so I couldn't go last night) if I go there and Blue dragon has dropped to 14.xx. I can pick you up an extrad copy for 24 shipped.
 
I swear.. the central Alabama Target markdowns are slower than a tortoise orgy. Here's to hoping for another Sigma and Blue Dragon price drop soon. For anyone interested, I've seen alot of markdowns on sheets/drapes/other random house things. Also a ton of drops on heaters and vaporizers.
 
I saw Universe at War for $24.98 at the Parma Target. Someone must've picked up the Blue Dragons. I saw a copy of Spider-Man: Friend or Foe behind the glass case, but it still scanned for $24.98.
 
My closest target ran out of Wii tony hawk PG's, waited too long. Saw a bunch of Boogie (DS) for $15. Picked up the sony portable speakers for $8. Not bad, but have no voulme control and a short cable, but perfect for what i wanted them for.

It was 25 last i saw it, was hoping for one more drop.
 
Say you buy something like BD at $30 then just keep checking the scanner to see when it drops to $15 at your store... can you then bring in your receipt for the difference?

I would assume that'd be ok but it would have to happen within 30 days.
 
I noticed that the games from last weeks price reductions (Warhawk, Motostorm, Lair, etc) have jumped back up to their regular prices of $59.99! I asked the clerk if the discounted prices were still vaild, and he said not any longer, but to check back in coming weeks as all first generation PS3 titles will be dropping even further, likely to $30. One question for those in the know...has Folklore been clearanced from Target? I've seen posts from various Target threads on here stating it dropped to $29 and this was before last weeks reduction. I ask because I FINALLY saw a copy behind the glass and it had the normal $59.99 tag underneath. Should I have asked for a price scan anyway? If so, I'll head back and scoop it!

Regarding the clearancing of items, Target has always been like this. At least they have for the last few years, and they do it across the store. They just need to move stuff out to make room for the new stuff.
 
I picked up Kane & Lynch PC for $12.48. If anyone wants it, let me know. If not, I'll probably return it. Not looking to make any cash, just hooking up someone that might want it.

Forgot that Target has a different return policy than those other Big Box retailers.
 
You cannot do a pricematch on a clearanced item. You'll have to return it, and either pick up another one or wait for them to put it back out (and hope an employee doesn't yank it first). YMMV, as always, but I think it's in their official policy not to pricematch to clearance prices.

I would ask for a price scan on that copy of Folklore. Or, if your Target has those scanners with keypads, punch in the DPCI yourself and check the price. Most Target's ARE clearancing that game out and I myself picked it up for $29.98 last week.

Got Kane and Lynch (PC) and Timeshift (PC) at the $12.48 price point. Also saw many of the others mentioned recently in the thread. Universe at War was marked $29.98 but scanned $24.98. Weird because it was a clearance sticker at $29.99.

This is so weird, just because they are so quick to clearance everything else... and, even weirder, because target.com has it for $29.99... then again, target.com has Def Jam ICon for $49.99 :)
 
They had a bunch at the Westland, MI target today. Shadow of the colossus, SW Battlefront, GTA:SA... Anyway, I picked up SW Lego II for the 360 for $14.
 
Picked up the Halo HeroClix for 1.24$ yesterday, but the pc games have not dropped for the third week in a row... What gives Target, if you keep this up I will stop wearing my red shirt :(

I found some Def Jams, but they had the "as is" sticker on the front for just under $40.... will that most likely mean its out of system, and it will be sold at the As Is price?

At my target, there were DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi (PS2) and Lego Star Wars 2 (360) for $9.98 each...besides that, nothing. There were copies of Bee Movie(360) and Two Worlds(PC), but I didn't even bother to check the prices of those.

I'm working on it now. It's one of my least favorite games in the series (I have them all except Proving Ground).

It's not a bad game but I hate the unbalanced difficulty. Each objective has 3 parts, easy, normal and hard. Easy is very easy but some normal and almost all hard goals are way too difficult for me. Like for a classic challenge, to get the hard level complete, you need to complete 10 goals in 2 minutes, which is hard with the levels so spread out.

I paid $10 for it at Costco last year and feel it's worth $10 - $15 at the most.
 
Yeah, I picked up the following:

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (PS2, GH) - $9.98
Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (360) - $9.98
Tony Hawk's Project 8 (PS2) - $9.98

And the creme de la creme, Flags Our Our Fathers on HD-DVD, for $7.46. ;)

The movie seemed to be hand-tagged because it had an orange "AS IS" clearance sticker on it, but it rang up at the original price of $29.99 and had to be manually adjusted down to $7.46.

Since I got Flags, I decided to pull the trigger on the 360 HD-DVD drive at Gamestop for $50, and I had to search around, but ironically the only new one left was at the Gamestop near the Target...

Colossus must be YMMV -- I checked 2 diff Targets today, and both had SOC at $19.99 on the price scanner.
 
My Target had quite a few X360 Lego Star Wars 2's, but they scanned $19.99. Maybe only the non-PH is on clearance?

I tried getting GRAW 2 today, but it was $40. I wish I could have been around to find Double Agent, or the Halo controllers (even if they are fugly)

My Target is selling Crackdown for 29.98, and they have like maybe 200 copies sitting on the back shelf (like other clearance stuff).
