The Abyss extended edition

Got it from Deep Discount during the sale. I'm a little disappointed that its non-anamorphic widescreen but oh well.

I forgot how great this movie is. I really want one of those submarines from the movie, how cool would that be?

Now to watch 2 other movies from what I bought. Blackhawk Down Extended (a whopping 8 minutes was added in!) and Star Trek The Wrath of Khan.

Batman The Movie. (1966, Adam West.)
Just Cause.

'meh'
Heh, I got caught up in this movie a few months ago at 3AM on TNT. I was dying for something to watch and ended up getting really into it. I went and bought it a month or so later, and I agree, meh.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

And here I thought dark comedy / film-noir couldn't be done properly, outside the realm of The Coen Brothers.

The chemistry between Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer was hysterical.

EDIT: Yeah, Shane Black.

The Pink Panther- fucking hilarious I cant remember the last time I laughed this much...probably when I saw it the first time in theaters...
Matrix Revolutions
I remember when I saw Reloaded in theaters...very exciting. It was sold out for the first 3 days in my city and I was in on day 1. I had my Matrix powerade and other Matrix related food with me in the theater
All the cheers for Neo from the audience were pretty cool too :p

I also remember seeing Revolutions in theaters the first night, there was a guy dressed up like Neo and a guy dressed up like Smith...They got into a "fight" (not sure if it was real or not) and both were escorted out of the theater

Nothing like seeing a movie on opening night :D

The Hills Have Eyes (remake) - Awful, just awful. I like violence, but this movie was turning into Condemned: Criminal Origins towards the end (pick up a weapon as you go).

what's the worst that could happen?

stupid movie that kept me up till 4 in the morning. Damn you martin lawerence and danny devito.

Well, in the past two days I've watched:

Dave Chapelle's block party, Night Watch, The hills have eyes, eight below(a movie that me and my kids watched)

Yeah, Alexander Aja fell the fuck off. Haute Tension was better in every single way.

How was Night Watch? The previews made it look awesome, but I've heard it's more style over substance.

Also, where is your sig from, it look vaugely familiar.

Just watched Dellamorte Dellamore (I refuse to use the shitty US title). Super surreal zombie horror/comedy that finally got a DVD release in America.

I saw Hills Have Eyes when it came out and thought it sucked balls, while many others liked it, same thing with Devil Rejects.

Last Movie I Saw:

The Break-Up

Horrible, was only held up by Vince Vaughn who's a fucking pimp.

I thought that Haute Tension was a better movie overall than THHE , but I HATED the twist in Haute Tension!(damn near ruined the movie for me) I was definatly jarred by what I saw in Haute Tension a lot more that THHE, granted THHE was just a remake and not a brand new film. So we will have to see what Aja does next.

I enjoyed night watch. The story was all over the place, but it has a nice style, and it has charcter(as Mr. Wolf from pulp fiction would say)

My sig is from the awesome looking game Yakuza from Sega.

Thanks for posting the link! I am very interested in checking out Dellamorte Dellamore AKA Cemetary Man. I've never seen it, I'm going to see if I can pick this up.

Saw Click this morning. Came in with low expectations but it was pretty good. Had a lot of laugh out loud moments. I'll admit that I actually cried when watching this and it's been a long time since I actually cried while watching a movie. Makeup effects were excellent as well.

I'd give it a 9/10.

Proof. Good gravy, that was a stupid film. Decent cast, and only 1.5 hours, but I lost interest about 30 minutes into it. It was in my wife's Netflix Q, so I thought I'd be nice and watch it with her. What a waste of gaming time.
^ So who is 'The Ugly'?
Nobody.

Shadow of the Vampire

Who's the monster?

Great film... I think the only problem was the lacking screenplay.

Malkovich and Dafoe nailed it.

Nacho Libre. Great movie. Very funny. Highly recommended. Go see it.

Agreed, although I didnt cry. Story was a little farfetched at times. I'd give it around an 8/10

My last few DVD watches:
- Match Point: Good movie, I enjoyed it
- STAY: More like stay away...boring movie
- Hoodwinked: Horrible, I actually stopped watching half-way through.

Just saw A History of Violence. I enjoyed the movie, but I still dont understand why it was getting 87+ percent from Rotten Tomatoes. I'd give it around a 7/10
It was far too slow at some points.

Anyone seen An Inconvienent Truth with Al Gore? I'm doing a paper on global warming and wouldn't mind seeing it if it's worth it. Already plan on checking out/buying the book.

Superman Returns which I saw last night.

Good, but my favorite (fairly recent) superhero movie is still Batman Begins...I was expecting to like Superman better though...

I just got done renting this , it was a interesting mix of a film. had nice gore, zombies, and boobs. I have not seen a crazy mix like this since evil dead.
Freedomland - not very good
Yeah, Freedomland was pretty damn bad.

Agreed. I'm probably one of the few people that went to see it during it's original theatrical run, and one of the few that actually understood and enjoyed it, but this is a hell of a movie. One of the best I've seen of the 2000s. I really should just go and buy this DVD now. Sad I missed it at the DDD sale.

The Returner

Wow, probably the best action movie I've seen in years. Seems like the Japanese are even taking over that sect of film. Sure the story wasn't very good, but the future CGI and action were more than enough for me to look past its flaws. Really, all I was after was a good action movie which I hadn't seen in awhile.

I wish my copy from DDD would arrive already of Cemteray man;). I so want to see it already.

Superman Returns (again)

and MI:3 (again)

Probably the only movie in theaters I havent seen is Click, but I'm not paying money to see an Adam Sandler movie.
