What are you talking about Bard?

I personally love my NBA playoffs crammed full of foul shots. There is nothing more exciting than 45 plus free throws a game. In fact I am waiting on the new rule changes that says that there will no longer be a 4th QRT. After the 3rd each team will shoot 10 foul shots a player and whoever has the most at the end wins the game.

Ok, so Melo gets a technical for a love tap but they don't give Smith one for his taunting after that three?

Where's my consistency NBA? :)

fuck Denver and their team and the fucking Lakers need to play with some effort dammit. I won't be surprised if Kobe goes all postal on their asses, hardly anyone plays with heart on this team. You have all the weapons and no one is using them correctly, and start Farmar over Fisher for goodness sakes. I got a lot of respect for Fisher, but his age is showing and his shot hasn't been great recently. When Farmar started for Fisher, he brought a lot of energy to the team.

Fisher can then be an effective bench player and help them out. I'd rather put in Powell than Walton, who can he guard anyways? Plus he's just a burden on offense; watching him tonight made me desperate.

The more I watch the Nuggets though, the more I hate them, not because their playing the Lakers, but because the majority of them still carry that ghetto mentality and let it spill out onto the court. Melo, Billups, and Anderson are the only ones I can appreciate.

Could not agree more.

The Lakers/Nuggets game was horrid. I should have just let the girlfriend watch her stupid Spongebob Squarepants than sit through the garbage Laker basketball. I fucking hate Luke Walton and I also hate Vujacic. I don't understand why they get so much playing time. Seriously, have Powell play over Walton and Brown get more of Vujacic's minutes.

Farmar needs to start over Fisher for sure. Fisher has contributed jack shit to the team so far. Doesn't make plays, just lobs it in and hopes for an assist or some shit. Can't even drive it in or knock down an open 3. Jeez. Farmar is good. Any other team, he'd be getting way more minutes and attention. I always see that fool trying to grab a board or driving it in with his little ass body. They should seriously start Farmar over Fisher and have the Fish lead the bench unit with Odom. He would be more effective that way.

Bynum.. oh god, don't get me started on this guy. All I want to see is just a little bit more emotion out of this guy. Every time a camera zooms on this guy, he has the same blank DUMBASS stare like he just wants to go home and suckle on his mom's breast milk. That fool is good, he has a huge body, use it a little more and take some slack of Pau. My god.

The Lakers got shitted on, and it looked like no one even gave a damn on that Laker team. They better turn their shit around game 5 because they're just going to wear themselves out if they bring the series to a game 7. Yeah, I still think the Lakers can beat this Nuggets team.

........

Yeah, beacuse fucking Klezia really screams thug right?

You hate the Nugges because they are beating your shitty Lakers team. There really isnt a single person other than the, "I wanna be like Bowen," Jones that has a "ghetto" mentality. That is a cheap shot and you know it.

You have rape case on your team yet the nuggets are ghetto beacuse they taunting a little bit after a big shot? Come on...dont start that. You are mad beacuse they are showing every single flaw that the lakers have and it eating away at you.

Just because the nuggets are not scared of the mighty Lakers and their superstar they are ghetto. When you are kicking the ass of the "Nba favorite team" you should taunt a little bit. Kobe is a big boy who has done more than his fair share of taunting in the pass...he can handle it.

There seems to be a lot of advertisements focused on Lebron vs. Kobe (the Nike puppets and the Vitamin water one). I bet it is in their interest to see the Cavs and Lakers in the finals.

And Denver deserved the win. They played with heart and went after rebounds. K-mart, Birdman, and Nene played very well. JR Smith played well too, but I didn't think his shot selection was always the best.

If you'll excuse the comparison, the Nuggets are playing like a more athletic Rockets in the effort department. That's what gives the Lakers fits.

Yep, which will make it even sweeter if it ends up being Nuggets and Magic.

Furthermore for the record, I still say he has one of the worst mustaches I've ever seen (not counting old school staches).

The cavs need to stop trying to be like the magic. Stop chucking up 3s like there is no tomorrow.

I am questioning the coaching decision made this series. You can not get me to believe that all of the Cavs players can be taken off the dribble so easily that 3 guys have to collapse on ever play leaving the best 3 point shooting team to live at the 3. They have Ben Wallace and big Z let them roam the middle...if they cant block it then let it go and hope that the defender can put pressure on the ball.

But I am tired of seeing fucking guards like Mo and West running into the paint...you 2 cant block the shot anyway so deny the pass.

Magic are playing like they are the 2nd best team in basketball right now. They simply have 2 many damn weapons...and when your average 3 point shooter is 6 9 its going to be tough to guard.

Will this be a considered a choke by the Cavs are simply just loosing to the better team?

Run that last sentence through Babel Fish and post the translation here.

Sigh. Its late...its suppose to be or.

That could have almost been a offensive foul on howard at the end of that....he was pulling him the entire time then jumped on his head.

Lets see what these teams can do in OT. Howard is in foul troube so the cavs should look to drive non stop.

EDIT: You guys seriously disagree with the last 2 calls? Michael clearly cut james off and got tangled in his feet...you have to call that. Also the if take a look at the replay Howard never lets go of Vaja the entire time and it didnt even look like Vaja tried to jump...just stand their with his arms up.

That surprising that I agree with both those calls and no one else does....usually the other way around.

Verajao is such a jackass, but Orlando put themselves in this position by jacking all those ridiculous three attempts in the last few minutes to lose their lead.
No call...
Because 3-1 is crippling.

Though, you'd think the "powers that be" want to make Lebron struggle, and then come through in the end. Guess they just didn't want to "hand" the game to the Magic. /sarcasm

I'm just sick of Lebron/Kobe bs and hope neither makes it to the finals.

Wow, bron bron is kinda choking it up.He has played like the entire game though...I am sure he is just mentally tired.

The trade of the year has to be that Alston trade. Skip seemed to have reached the peak of his career a couple years ago and now seems like he could play another 4 or 5 years. I wonder how the dynamic is going to change when Nelson comes back.
Wow. Clutch free throws from a center. Where's Shaq?
Sipping cactus juice in the desert, writing ass-tasting rhymes.
so no call and pietrus gets a foul for lebron falling on himself....
What the hell are you talking about? It was clear that Pietrus cut him off and got tangled in his legs. That was by far the easiest foul call this entire season. A trip is a trip and a automatic foul intention or not...its always been like that......unless you are Jones of the Nuggets.

Come on now. Yes the NBA hypes it up but you know how you can get away from it? By not mentioning it every 4 god damn seconds. There has been some shitastic calls this year but the feeling that the powers above are pushing that match up is pretty low. Its no where near as high as Boston LA of last year.

Last year was a entire campaign based on the match up.
This year......sock puppets.
That was offensive goaltending by Howard, and a travel by Turkoglu.
Yes, Yes, it was. Looks like the NBA is trying to give the Magic a win.
I dont want to take any credit away from the magic team because they deserve everything for these play in the play offs.

But I think a good portion of the blame goes to the Cavs coach who hasnt figured out a single way to stop anything the Magic are doing. I disagree with the defense they are playing as well as the offensive plays they are running. I just think Panic! at Van Gundy is a better coach right now.

There was no leg tangling. That was LeBron desperately trying to draw contact by leaning into a backing-up Pietrus.

It's moot now though.
If Cavs players not named LeBron James show up, this series is at least 3-1 Cavs, if not over.
That is very true. Maybe Bron needs to take a less is more approach. There was a stat said at the beginning at the game where he scores 43% of teams points.

Maybe if he got his points down and assist up they will do better. Hell if I know.

EDIT: We will see when the gif comes out tomorrow some time Guile but from what I saw Micheal simply mistimed his cut off and got tangled.
If Cavs players not named LeBron James show up, this series is at least 3-1 Cavs, if not over.
If Lebron didn't hit a miracle shot, the series would be over.

See, I can state hypothetical situations, too.

I haven't really watched NBA over the better part of the last 5 or so years. I didn't care last year about the Celtics/Lakers "dream" match up. I was just happy that Kevin Garnett finally got a ring, he deserved it (IMHO).

Its just a bit insane when, even if not watching NBA, I see the Kobe/Lebron commercials. I know it's what makes them the money, but come on, enough is enough. If it happens, the market the hell out of it. Until then, just market the teams in the current matchups. I've been interested these last few days, so I guess its working.

I'd really prefer to see the Cavs/Nuggets or Magic/Lakers, but thats just me.

Well, Big chuck just stated what I was thinking. That Brown coaching is a big reason why the Cavs are loosing these close games.

I want to give the Magic a ton of credit for being the better team but these are some close ass games all coming down to buzzer beaters so I dont know if the Magic are truly that much better than Lebron and the no shows.
Looks like it's going to be Magic vs. Lakers in the Finals. True story.
if the lakers start playing like theyre supposed to then it'll be Magic vs Lakers finals but atm im worried they'lll lose :bomb:

Boom. Right there both Reggie and Chuck agree with both things that I have said. That was a foul on Bron when he was driving and that was a good no call on Howard.

Simply as that.

I really thought that last shot from Lebron was going in. After his last 3, who wouldn't?

Magic in 6.

Also, apparently there's a possible scenario of the Cavs getting Yao over there? After that Hong Kong company bought a piece of the team, it'd be pretty crazy if the team was able to pull that off.

Btw, Phil Jackson and the Lakers organization were each fined $25,000 for criticism of the refs.
http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/9614886/NBA-fines-Lakers%27-Jackson-$25K-for-criticizing-refs

Gotta say, it seems like refs are almost untouchable unless they're caught doing something illegal, since other Coaches in basically any sport have been fined for the same thing.

That beacuse David Stren is the biggest pussy in sports. He never says anything or does anything of in regards to quality control. He loves these hype machine ad but denied, denied, denied, that anything was ever wrong with the Refs...and the when one was caught gambling he denied some more.

All I have to say is that something huge must really be going on, far beyond our fan bullshit if coaches are coming full out and rip refs a new one and getting fine.

Cant wait for the Nuggets game tomorrow.

Whew, didn't think the Magic were going to pull that out. Offense got very stagnant the last 4 minutes before Lewis hit that three. Thankfully in OT they stopped just chucking up 3's without even going inside first and Howard put the team on his back.

Hope they can win game 5 or 6, as I don't want to see a game 7 in Cleveland.

I think I mentioned it earlier...
Cavs needs to restructure in the off season. Get a young, healthy, quick center (If Big Ben was healthy I'd keep him, but honestly Big Z is getting old and he's slowing down). The Cavs also need to get a decent Power Foward, one who is consistent. Also they might want to pick up a few bench players who can contribute as well.

But thats a given though. The NBA will always promote the 2 best players in a match up. It always been like that.

Thats like complaining that there are too many cars at the race track. I just dont see how you can be all of a sudden sick of something that has always been. Superstars get hype.

It's more than promotion, though. The matchup was basically a forgone conclusion in the NBA's/most analyst's/Nike's eyes. To think a team can make it to the finals and dismiss any other opponents on the merit of teams with a single superstar and a questionable surrounding cast is foolish. Both conference finals are clearly illustrating this.

The only exception to this I can think of is Olajuwon in '93-'94.
The only exception to this I can think of is Olajuwon in '93-'94.
I can't tell if this is giving a lot of credit to The Dream, or dissing the supporting cast.

Don't forget, the first Rockets championship team had solid role-players (Chuck brought this up on TNT), such as rookies Sam Cassell and Robert Horry.

Keep in mind though, he is equally capable of going 4-20 or something like that (with most of those shots threes).

There is a reason he is usually left wide open by opposing defenses.

Horry and Cassell were good at that time, but I'm not sure I would say they were better players than Mo Williams, Ilgauskas, West, or Wallace. Three of those are former All-Stars.

And Horry was a second-year player that season.

Also, The Dream was at the peak of his career. I think James has a lot of developing still to do to reach that type of level.

Dude, I was cheering on Skip the whole way. When he started draining those threes I was like jeeaaaaa, you go boy!

He's been struggling for a bit and I've loved watching him pre-NBA days.

It's also been funny to see his reaction after he messes up, covering his mouth like "hee hee oops!" or kissing refs on the head.
