KOBE DOIN' WORK:
I was surprised no one mentioned this. It premieres at 8 Eastern on ESPN on Saturday. Should be interesting. Will anyone else be watching?
Watched it while I was tuning my fixie and it was just meh meh, nothing really special about though it was so hyped with Spike Lee directing it and everything.
I am surprised Lakers fan believe that anyone outside of LA give a flying

about Kobe. Especially enough to watch some show strictly about him.
And this is not to be mean at all but I dont know of a single other person that is less cared about by the general public yet more talked about.
Half the time I get the feeling that many many of these so called laker fans are simply just Kobe fans. Because I dont remember them the 3 years after Shaq left when Kobe was on sub .500 team that was getting embarrassed every other night.
And of course I am not trying to shit on Kobe at all. We all know how much of a superstar and one of a kind player he is. But simply put...he is not a likable guy. He has no where near the charisma and business sense that Jordan has and no one outside of the NBA really cares what he does.
People give a shit about Kobe because they either love him, hate him, or they're just the average person who follows headlines.
And yeah, I totally agree with you about the Kobe/Laker fan thing. People just started bandwagoning and supporting the Lakers once they got better and Kobe went MVP-like. It reminds me of a couple years back when Golden State dominated the Mavs in the first round of the playoffs. I've been a Warriors fan since I was grew up in the Bay, and all of a sudden you get loads of people saying "We Believe" when they can't even name all of the starters. Sad stuff, but it's just how it is. Think of all the people who loved the Bulls when His Airness ran the league.
I don't even compare Kobe to Jordan.. they're in too different leagues in my opinion. Jordan is godlike on the floor. Though I'm a LeBron hater, I think he has more Jordan-esque moments than Kobe.
Funny story, I remember when I was in fourth grade I named my black lab pup Kobe. I kinda feel bad for him now. Good thing he's in a better place now.
