I've been making lists of all the suggestions.

I've seen Witch Hunter Robin and it felt largely like a show of wasted potential. The world/characters/art/etc... were really solid but the writing was so abysmal it left me feeling flat about the whole affair.

I've never even heard of Genshiken, Gants, Gankutsuou, or Law of Ueki but I'll check into them.

I started Busou Renkin last night and after that I'm starting School Rumble.

Ewwww, boxing.

...Yeah, Skip Beat was great stuffs. I read the manga first, but the anime is doing pretty well so far.

Omg you never saw Ippo if you can sit there and say Ewww Boxing. I never really saw the whole anime its in my queue but its hot.
I got too many things going on and too much anime to watch. Series I'm watching now:
Tales of the Abyss
Gundam 00 Season 2
Bleach episode 30-201(for some reason my mind is going blank after episode 30)
Casshern Sins

I've only seen a few episodes of it, but it's not my cup of tea. Fancy that. I have a different opinion than you do.

My friend watched the anime after playing the game and he said it was great. I'll watch it myself once I finish the game.
So far I watched some fan subs of Skip Beat and I love what I see. The main character seems crazy and out for revenge.
I read somewhere that they stopped making fansubs. You can only watch subbed episodes on crunchyroll.

That's a damn shame. I despise CR.
Though Berserk is a curious addition, it would seem like you want something with depth... I figure this is a decent list.

Shigofumi
Kino's Journey
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Last Exile
Baccano
Haibane Renmai
Darker than Black

I'll explain my choices if you so desire.
cool, I'll look into these. the only one I've seen is Eva (liked it a lot.)

depth and good stories are fine. I also like Samurai Champloo since its just an interesting journey taken by the characters, though its not deep.

edit: Darker than Black and Baccano both look good, I'll check them out. The descriptions I read for the others didn't really pique my curiosity.

This is a *far* better list than the first one. I'd also add the Read or Die OVA and TV series and Fullmetal Alchemist.

You have some of the strongest and most negative opinions on shows other people like and you hardly phrase them with tact. So this coming from you is just too much, wow :wall:

I'd place it about the ROD TV series though. ;)
(But waaaaaaaay below the OVA).

While I agree that the anime is inferior to the manga, it's still quite enjoyable.

Also, and I mean this in a loving way - you're a fucking twat. ;)

Anyone watch Kannagi? I'm a little behind and just finished it (hopefully there's a second season). It's gold I tell you, pure comedic gold.

I watched the first episode. Thought it was pretty average, so I stopped watching. I intend to finish it, though. The main character had a lot of fanart on 2chan, so the show must have something good going for it.

Currently watching History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi. So far, the main character is super clumsy and whiny. Seems like something mana knight might like also.

Just caught Kurokami. Watched it dubbed, but I wish Bandai would let us watch it for free legally. It's being oversubbed to hell. @_@

Well, he can't be all badass by the 2nd eps. or the series wouldn't last past 6 eps. let alone 50. However, the series kinda leaves things open at the end. If you want to see more of the story, you'll hafta turn to the manga to see what happens after the last eps.

good naruto manga this week but im still annoyed that theyre not just saying things right out too much hinting. next few weeks should be interesting.

Well they just about said what happened to
Kakashi
I liked the chapter though I don't see Naruto winning the fight unless Pain says nuts to this and leaves

So whats a good action comedy? I just finished Desert Punk and am almost finished with Gurren Lagaan.

Even just a comedy is ok too.

Soul Eater.

Still reppin'.

ehh i could see him getting rid of all the Pain bodies, because he still has to take care of
Nagato
later on

Naruto
Did I miss something? How long has Naruto been training that he became such a badass? Also, I still don't buy that Kakashi is dead. There is still way too much story to go without involving him somehow. There has to be at least a few more story arcs left.

yes and no because all
naruto said was he couldnt sense his chakra which could mean any number of things. its not hard to believe maybe hes just in some kind of stasis or deep sleep until they say 100 % kakashi is dead i cant believe it. naruto could win considering pains main move still needs to charge up and each time he uses it it shortens his life. im curious to see his new sage techinique since it seems as a sage hes got a better grasp on sage powers than jiraya did. im also curios to see if tsunade will get her youth back since now shes old again after using that technique of hers.

but youre right it was a good chapter heres to hoping they wont wait another 2 weeks to show the next one lol.
Started reading Lovely Complex and We Were There (Bokura ga Ita). I love me a good (non-harem) high school romance.
i may try reading that manga at some point since i liked the anime alot.you should check out itazura na kiss too if youre into the romance stuff or chobits( its got some odd parts but is pretty cool ).

Those are both great! Good going.

The best comedy anime is Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu and I will slap anyone who says otherwise. That said, you have to get through season one (Full Metal Panic!) if you want to enjoy it to its maximum potential.

As Azumangaman said, Azumanga Daioh would be a great choice. If you're feeling adventurous, try Minami Ke.

I'm not so sure that Soul Eater is a comedy so much as it is pure, concentrated win.

I read Chobits way back in the day when it first came out. I was a pretty big CLAMP fanboy back in the day. I still

I read that as Love Love? and was about to ask god why he allowed the series to be reborn as manga.

He kinda acts like that the whole anime but it gets better and like the last episode or so he pwns it kinda closes the anime really well.

Viz has basically made fansubs for Naruto kinda pointless, considering they're now releasing new episodes on hulu or something.

Damn, and we're still 8 years behind in One Piece.
I'm 5 episodes into Azumanga Daioh, and I'm REALLY liking it. Can't wait to start it back up again tomorrow!
:)
Hooray! You watching the R1 set? I guess that just means you finished disc 1. Discs 1,2,4,5 were my favourite, but they all had incredible episodes (New Years Special is my favourite, watched it around 7 times I think).
so where do we get Shippuuden now? I downloaded the damn 92 troll.
If you're looking to be up-to-date ASAP, the official sub's not going to satisfy that, but skipping a week for the convenience of not having to down them is great.

Looks like they will be caught up by 3/13 with everything up to 88, so now is the best time to start with eight new episodes per week in the backlog.

The worst part of that seems to be you have to keep up.. one ep a week.. which I don't do. I typically go a few months without watching anything then catch up. Nothing happens in an episode each week...

I plan on watching 2 and 3 today, but schoolwork may get in the way of that, haha.

I'm 4 episodes into Chaos Head, and I gotta say my head is gonna explode. I love an anime that makes you think. So many things in this series just make me say "huh?!". Its a pretty short series (12 eps), I hope it has a really good way to tie things up, with this much confusion in th plot, it'll either be a huge plot twist, or a huge letdown (heres hoping for the first one).

It also looks great in 720p, which is a plus. I'll hopefully finish watching it later today and post final recommendations.

I'm sorry to spoil it for you, but it ends up being a gigantic letdown. You keep hoping that something will start going right, but it never does. For about the first half I kept thinking that the show was amazing and that there's no way they could squander so much potential.

Somehow, they managed to do it. :/

Watched 5 episodes of Welcome to the NHK last night. WOW. I'm laughing, but I'm not sure if its "haha" funny. I'm not sure how to put it...I like it a lot and it's entertaining, but I think it's actually a pretty critical treatment of hardcore otaku culture. and I'm excited to see where the whole hikikomori aspect goes...they still haven't said why he retreated yet (most hikikomori have a pretty big reason for why they do what they do.) okay, the aspect of them making a hentai game is fucking hilarious and the box of tissues shots are as well

Reborn! manga spoilers
Why must they spend half a dozen chapters focusing on Varia? It was cool for the first couple chapters, but now I just want them to get back to Tsuna and the group.

I'm already ready for episode 92. I watched it from the beginning about 2-3 times. I rather download them and keep them in my collection then stream them.
Guess I'll just have to wait to buy Shippuuden Uncut, whenever that may be. Thanks for the site though.
