Just when I think things can't get any stranger around here...

You should know better than to stay things like that.

The transfers on the Boomstick Edition are essentially the same ones from the previous Theatrical and Bootleg Editions, just put in a new box. I'm looking towards the Region 3 Director's Cut release, because, according to these caps on the Beaver, it looks awesome.

I do have to say that this is probably the most surreal OTT I have experienced thus far.

I sure hope that version comes out over here, as it looks alot better then our versions.

Not a chance, since MGM did the transfer over there, and Anchor Bay owns the US rights. If Anchor Bay wanted to, they could pour a bunch of money into the project, and do a really great clean-up/restoration for the US market themselves, but they seem to be doing just fine re-releasing the same stuff.

Much to learn about the ways of the OTT have you.

Well say good bye to my Sin City sig guys. I know I've seen it at many forums online, as well as through searches, and I myself found it through doing a google search for various queries and then did some changes of my own to it, but I was just PMed by some lady saying basically that I was plagiarizing someone from another forum. Oh well. I know I played with it a little, but I'll take it down. I was planning to change it anyway now since it is so late after the movie. I didn't think I had done anything wrong by taking something and turning it into my own, like paraphrasing a person work or rephrasing something.

I feel so bare now. I guess I should get to making a new sig or finding a new one. I've been thinking of switching over to Star Wars sig for some time now anyway. perhaps Sneaky would let me use his awesome Samurai Champloo sig that he had a while back?

I think I may put off NCAA Football 06 and Madden 06 until around Christmas  since it's just too soon and I'm still in the first season of my dynasty/franchise on both games. I'm really interested in the new modes in both and I'd love to get them when they come out.

This would be a good time for me to express my opinion that Anchor Bay can eat a goddamn dick. They put out the most absolute crap DVD releases of pretty much any company I can think of. Wankers.

So would it be o.k. if I used you old Champloo sig Sneaky? By any chance do you still have it and could maybe put it up again if the answer were yes?
You should know better than to stay things like that.
I know, especially around here. I'm just being facetious.

Sure, just et me make a quick edit then I'll pm it to you.

I like this DDD sale. I didn't buy anything this time (next time I swear!), but everytime somebody lists their buys, I add stuff to rent off BB Online.
Switching over to 50 posts per page really does make a difference. It's a lot easier going through threads, and quicker might I add.
Good idea, I should do that. :wall:

I know what you mean. I find some stuff that I have forgotten about and have made list so for when I go to Hollywood Video/my free trial to Netflix. It's kind of cool and the sale save me money, while at the same time making me spend it.

There you go, with my tiny edit for credit ;)

thanks I'll get it up in just a second. Wasn't it stretched out/longer before? Still an awesome sig. Now just to decide where to put it, under the text or above it in my sig.

It may have been, but I'm pretty sure it's always been that size. Maybe you had a different revolution that made it look different?

Wouldn't it have been cool if Wesley Willis had written a song about Anchor Bay?
It may have been, but I'm pretty sure it's always been that size. Maybe you had a different revolution that made it look different?
Perhaps, but I always thought it was similiar in length/size to the current sig that you have now, maybe a bit shorter. Now it kind of looks a little compressed. No biggie though, mucho mucho thanks for lending me the sig. Now to just come up with one/find something else for one.

NP, but I know for a fact it was never that long. At mostit was only slightly wider, but never as long as my current (and awesome) F.E.A.R. sig.

Could have also been the appearance of it being centered as your current F.E.A.R sig is. I'll try that out with it and see how it goes. Maybe some readjusting of the size of my text.

Hmm....What do you guys think of the sig now? Better? Worse? Eventually I would like to finish up adding all of the games I own to my IGN list and putting a link to my collection, as well as putting up a link to my DVD collection and maybe cutting out some of the text.

I was finally able ot update my ign list (kept getting errors), and am now up to 820, but I'm focusing more now on getting DVDs and CDs, and trying to beat some games.

makes sense. I too need to finish up a big backlog of games. I've mostly been adding only my recently purchased games (i.e. games from weekly ads, Fry's, etc.). I still need to add quite a few games from last year's CC sale as well as my giant collection pre-CAG. Only 300 left I think and I might be close to done.

I too have been going more and more for DVDs lately. Mostly box sets or movies I know I'll watch more than once or in a few years. C.D.s I'm pretty meh on. I only buy non-RIAA now (well mostly) and I haven't seen a good c.d. that I must really own in probably 6-7 months. I really want the new Decemberists, which my BB finally got in stock, but it was all cracked all over so I'm going to try and get it at Fry's like i was planning to anyway.
Familiar with Blockbuster online and why Netflix would be better?
I have no problems with Netflix, and my local BB isn't nearby.
I have no problems with Netflix, and my local BB isn't nearby.
I have had 0 problems so far with Netflix, and I do have a BBV nearby, but I just prefer Netfilx since BBV has been so-so with me in the past.
I think I'm going to head out now, maybe catch a couple of burgers at Inn-N-Out, and watch Spirited Away with the g/f.
Sounds like a plan to me.

You should update your IGN list when you get new games and not a few times a year. I put a little info in the private note section about when, where, and how much I paid for the games when I add them.
Good news for all you Takeshi Miike fans, as Audition will be seeing an official DVD relase on August 23rd.
Awesome. I'll need to pick that up when it comes out. It's a great movie, albeit a bit disturbing.

I know, I was looking on DDD, and saw that it was coming out, and was overjoyed. It's an awesome movie, and will go good with my ever expanding Miike collection.

I'm not the only one that does it that way? Sweet!

Five grad parties in a day is excessive. Fun, but excessive. I don't know how much I ate or how many people I talked to. Both much more than an average day, to be sure.

And tomorrow? Four more. I swear, everyone I met in high school is having their parties this weekend.

It is an awesome movie. I saw it last year for my Cult Film class. We were doing Cult Figures/Directors and we had to watch three of our chosen figure's films. I chose Miike and watched Dead or Alive, Audition, and Ichi the Killer.

I've been a Miike fan since I saw Ichi. So far I've seen Ichi, Audition, Happiness of the Katakuris, and Visitor Q, with Dead or Alive 1-3 on my Netflix list, among some others.

Visitor Q either sucked or was brilliant. It was a great social commentary, but it was just stupid. If you try and take it seriously, it sucks really really bad, but ifyou realize what it stands for, it's quite ingenious.

Hapiness of the Katakuris was weird as hell, but fucking hilarious. How can you beat a musical about poeple randomly dying?

"Diana, if I was only there"

fuck. fuck fuck fuck.

The Linspire computer we got today as a quick replacement for an old desktop is not working. This makes for a total of two nonfunctional desktops, one that reboots randomly, a Win98 machien that's so slow it can't even handle internet browsing, and a laptop that I'm not allowed to use because it's exclusively my mother's.

If that wasn't bad enough, Comcast is a crappy ISP and we lose our connection without warning. Usually not long outages, but any flicker, even if it's just for a few minutes, is hugely annoying.

I swear, I've got the world's worst luck with computers.

And best of all? In the next two days, I'm required to take a calc placement test ONLINE for UofM. I shouldn't even bother studying, because I'm not going to have the ability to take the dam thing in the first place.

fuck.
