And, really. HDNet? Is that anything other than the "ROH channel" to y'all? I never understood why my cable carrier wanted me to pay for that shit channel before ROH was on it. And I'm certainly not paying for one program.
HDNet had the best MLS HD broadcasts. Sadly they no longer carry MLS unless if something gets worked out during the season.

I wouldn't mind getting HDNet Movies tho. Fully unedited movies shown in their original aspect formats, no ads, etc. From the few times I've seen the channel the quality is excellent. Plus their selection of movies is pretty good too. April alone has Lawrence Of Arabia, Nightmare On Elm Street, Never Ending Story, and many others on.

Myke, recommend me a league and I'll go check out a match or two. From Googling, the Derby Dolls run in LA (but I'm a little lost on how leagues run and whatnot). I'm intrigued enough to watch a bunch of girls in relatively skimpy outfits beating the crap out of each other at high speeds.

MavTV also (I think) carries the NWA Showcase tapings that they do in LA. Great if you're into watching Adam Pearce and Joey Ryan.

I thought HBK's liberal use of the crotch chop was pretty funny. I know he's going to lose at Mania, but I'd like to see him win. I'm not a big Taker fan.
Yeah, I watch a lot of MMA on HDNet on Friday nights. They have a lot of good DREAM shows and K1 shows on there, and some decent MMA upstarts, like Maximum (I think that's what it's called.) Are we actually supposed to take Super Vince and Super Shane seriously?
Same here. HDNet to me is the MMA channel. Shows a lot of the Japanese MMA promotions and smaller regional shows. Nice to have if you're an mma fan.

Always wondered this, but never cared, why is Vickie in a wheelchair?

This time? Edge speared her at .000000000001 miles per hour. I forget why she was last time but it had something to do with Taker

You know, it says a lot about the lack of enthusiasm for Mania when the last page has more stuff about other topics than it does about the ending of the go-home Raw.

Of course, that might be because the ending was, uh, not great. Few things:
I loved Orton realizing he was getting some cheers, so he tried to drive right back into heel-town with the standard 'shut up and listen!'. I do like that some people seem to remember that, well, we actually *don't* like the McMahons all that much.

Apparently, it in the month that's passed, no one mentioned to Shane that he can't fake-punch. It's cool, though, cause he runs on pure adrenaline! Best part? He once again used his powers to beat up random bystanders. Way to take one for the team, underpaid arena security people!

That hammy superhero pose really drove home how much I hate this fucking storyline, as well as the fact that these guys run the WWE. Look, we understand that wrestling is fake. We understand that HHH married into the family that owns it. I don't need to *see* it. It was almost as if, for one brief moment, everything wrong with the WWE was made flesh on the stage. So, yeah, I get it... I just don't need to be dick-slapped with it, and I'm sure as hell *not* going to cheer for it.

The McMahons work better as heels, period. Well, really, they work better not being around at all, but that's a bit much to hope for, isn't it?

That Test clip is pretty creepy, but only in hindsight. If it were, say, Hardcore Holly saying that, we wouldn't bat an eye.

But another dead wrestler saying it? Well, I guess, that's the point.

My sad little Test story. He was in the autograph alley at Wizard World Philadelphia, sandwiched between the original TV Lois Lane and Juliya Chernetzky from Fuze. They all had lines, the only company he had was a cheeseburger.

By comparison, Virgil was a few booths over and was chatting with a good amount of people the whole day.

I can't believe how bad the Mania main events are, I mean Orton/HHH they've at least tried, but failed, to generate some interest. But the Smackdown main event is truely terrible. The writing is aweful, we've seen Edge Vs Cena a million times and yet again they're trying to push the Bigshow as some unstoppable monster and it just doesn't work.

The only match I'm vaguely interested in is Taker/HBK. I don't think I can even be bothered watching it on a feed for free, they just seem to have put barely any effort into the matches and are trying to sell the whole thing on being "the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania", well whoop de fuck.

and we've seen Cena vs Big Show at Mania several years ago for I think for the US title.

I haven't watched any WWE since the Royal Rumble and now a days my friends just get the big PPVs, which is nice cause it's only like $5/person. So, I'll be watching Mania and only really wanting to see Taker/HBK other then that I don't care.

He's big enough that he needs the other 'z'.

Tazz is one dude I don't expect to see anywhere near pro wrestling in the future, except for a few ROH one-shots. Best case scenario for our future as fans is for him to slap the Tazzmission onto Don West and take over the color commentary at TNA. The show would still be shit, though.

TNA? They're chomping at the bit to bring in the guy who beat Kurt Angle in his WWE debut, even though he can't get into the ring anymore. Special guest enforcer for world title matches for the next 5 months?

Somewhat surprised that he didn't stay for the Wrestlemania payoff, but if things were as tense between him and Vince as the dirt sheets are saying I can understand it.

I hope this opens the door for Striker to get moved over to Smackdown.

Here's what matches are going to be on Smackdown this week

Randy Orton vs. Triple H

Big Show vs. John Cena vs. Edge

Rey Mysterio vs. JBL

John Morrison and The Miz vs. Carlito and Primo Colon

Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy

25 Divas Battle Royal
Featuring Divas of the past and present, with the winner being crowned Miss WrestleMania

Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker

Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Finlay vs. MVP vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Kane vs. CM Punk vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Mark Henry vs. Christian Cage

Legends Handicap Match
Chris Jericho vs. Jimmy Snuka, Roddy Piper and Ricky Steamboat with Ric Flair and Mickey Rourke at ringside

Oh shit, sorry, no, thats the Wrestlemania card, oops.

Taz will be applying the Tazmission to his local Old Country Buffet.

Ah, never mind. myke already ran the gauntlet of "Taz loves to eat".
I hope this opens the door for Striker to get moved over to Smackdown.
Or they might do what they did before Tazz even took over the spot in 2000 and have Lawler pull double duty on Raw & SD.

"Smackdown announcer Tazz contract expired today and last night's taping of Smackdown was his final WWE broadcast. He has not been on good terms with Vince McMahon and has been yelled at several times. According to friends, Tazz was talked out of confronting Vince at least once about his aggressive production style."

The same thing that got Foley to quit, it seems.

That would be a great move, as long as they don't tweak his style.

Ugh. Please, no.

Of course it will never occur to Vince that he might actually be at fault. That man is completely delusional.

Foley's best line was when he referred to Kozlov as "a former world mambo champion". The mental image of Kozlov dancing the mambo had me laughing for several minutes.

Seen that JACKED! video before, somewhat amusing. Maybe with Tazz gone they'll get JBL out of the ring and back behind the table.

Not sure if this one has ever made it into a wrestling thread, but I'll post it anyway because it involves Mickie James and "may not be suitable for minors".
I say move Striker to SD, move JBL to calling with Lawler on Raw and move Cole to the unemployment line.
I'd rather they reunite Cole/JBL on Raw and JR/Lawler on Smackdown.

If I never have to hear Cole call another match I would (figuratively) dance in the streets. He's horrific. I'd rather listen to the corpse of Gordon Solie, which, even though dead, would still be light-years better than Cole.

Crap, HDNet had the 3/28 RoH on YouTube removed. I was only halfway through it.

I expected JBL to win and retire at Mania. Why not just put that match on first and have him commentate the rest of the show with Jim Ross?

Was there only one match on ECW tonight?

So wait. Tazz was going to get into a physical altercation with Vince? What the hell is Vince saying to these guys? First Foley, now Tazz?

Confirmed for the Diva battle royal, we've got Torrie Wilson, Sunny, Victoria, Jackie Gayda, and Molly Holly. This leaves two spots left aside from the 18 active WWE Divas.

Oh, and Vickie's pregnant. Awesome.

1.5
Christian/Finlay vs. Henry/Kane and the epic battle of Bella vs. Bella

Thanks for the input.
Breaking News: TNA has released Vince Russo from his duties of booking. More details as they emerge.
lazy. very, very lazy. have some dignity in your AF.

So, we have several females I thought I would never see in WWE again but knowing Vince he'll let them all go the night after the PPV.

Is the stuff with Vickie for real or a storyline because I don't want to see the birth of a hand again.

Vickie's pregnancy is an angle.

You know, it's staggering to stop and think how different storylines would be today if Eddie hadn't died.

Seems like the pregnancy thing is just an April Fools, not a proper angle.

Still I'm sure we'll get John Cena with pictures of babies with Edge and Big Show's heads on Smackdown.

Pure hilarity.

Pretty cool to see WWE Encyclopedia on the NY Times top 10 bestseller's list. Even cooler is one of my friend's from high school co-authored it - Kevin Sullivan (not the wrestler, obviously).
