A few people have made the error of saying the Johnsons *were* wrestling penises. That was the plan, that was the pun, but it really wasn't the execution.

EDIT: Also, I'm ashamed to have had to type that last sentence. Not as an indictment of y'alls lack of TNA history, but the fact that it was even considered, let alone semi-pulled off.

A pun!

Just looking at the booking for next week's show, nearly every match ends in a schmoz of some sort or a run in. I guess it makes sense since it's "total nonstop action", but it honestly seems like they're booking things by throwing darts and hoping something sticks.

There's nearly 70 people listed on TNA's roster page, and the're trying to cram as much as they can onto every show since they've only got two hours of TV every week. I really, really, REALLY wish someone in TNA would realize they need to slow down and let things simmer at times. I would think that with enough talent in the locker room, someone would step up and notice things aren't working.

EDIT - Puns are the lowest form of comedy, Myke, and I now hate you for reminding me. Thanks to you, a video featuring Braden Goddamn Walker, a lawnmower-driving bag shitter, and two wrestling dongs has one more hit on YouTube. Because of that, Vince Russo (who I'm fairly sure gets an email anytime a horrible wrestling segment gets referenced anywhere) is going to hire those four guys again and book them in an electrified barb wire pirahna cage match reverse battle royal where they actually have to get INTO the cage.

 I forgot about those guys.

I stopped following the weekly PPVs once they brought ICP in. That shit was awful. I can somewhat tolerate Nascar rednecks, but I draw the line at ICP.

TNA's roster has 70 or so dudes, but a quick glance shows there's a lot of filler in there. Awesome Kong? Shark Boy? Hector Guerrero? And who the fuck is Willie Urbina?

Also, RVD's roster photo looks like someone snapped a polaroid the second he put down a bong, and was surprised to find a camera in his face. But I digress.

TNA does have a big roster, though, your point still stands.

I said earlier WWE won't change their approach at *all* until their stock drops. I suspect you all agree (but if you don't, go ahead and give me another possible scenario).

But what will it take for TNA to become a wrestling-centered promotion? They're a company with, more or less, nothing to lose. They have rose-tinted glasses that look at three months of Hogan and Bishoff at the helm and they've moved to Monday (yay), but they're right back at their baseline of ratings - and will be for some time. They've pulled 0.9-1.0 on Spike for three years now, yet they seem insular and myopic enough that they're *thrilled* to pull the same number on a different night of the week. They're in love with everything they do, and their own biggest marks. So what could lead to TNA changing their approach? It's certainly not a lost cause.

But think it through. "Vince Russo gets fired." Ok, that's plausible - but before that, what would have to happen that would cause such a situation?

I thought TNA was going to be live every Monday? Here are 3/15's spoilers

Thanks to JP Nichols and PWInsider for these spoilers from tonight's iMPACT tapings in Orlando:

In a Dark Match: Homicide defeated Ken Doane with an Ace Crusher in what was described as a solid match for Doane.

In a Dark Match: Jay Lethal defeated Kazuchika Okada with an elbow drop.

In an Xplosion Match: Kazarian and Amazing Red defeat Brian Kendrick and Daniels when Kazarian pinned Kendrick.

After the opening pyro:

AJ Styles and Ric Flair come out. Styles gets on the mic and calls Abyss a scary looking but stupid monster. Styles asks Abyss if he really thinks that a ring will help him. A.J. comments on their previous matches. Styles says that much like the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus, he does not believe in magical rings. Styles says that he considers himself a gift from God. Flair gets on the mic and rambles about Hogan and Abyss.

Jeff Hardy’s music plays and Jeff comes out to the ring. A.J. asks Jeff who he thinks he is and then he calls Hardy a nobody. Styles says that since Hardy wants to put his hands on him and Flair, that they should go at it tonight. Hardy gets on the mic and says it will be a breeze. AJ Styles versus Jeff Hardy is announced for tonight.

Mick Foley and Eric Bischoff are on the screen. Foley apologizes for messing up last week. Eric says that tonight, in the ring they will shave Foley’s head and beard to make a citizen out of him.

They show another video. This time it is the Nasty boys beating up Jesse Neal and putting him through a table.

The Nasty Boys come out for a six man tag match with Jimmy Hart against Team 3D and Jesse Neal. The Nasty Boys and Hart act as if it is going to be a handicap match as a result of the earlier attack on Jesse Neal. Brother Ray says that is not the case and brings out Brother Runt.

Nasty Boys and Jimmy Hart defeated Brother Ray, Brother Devon, and Brother Runt. Jimmy Hart pinned Ray after Saggs hit Ray with the helmet while the referee was distracted. After the match the Nasty Boys bring in a table to put 3D through, but Jesse Neal comes out with his ribs taped for the save. Jesse and Team 3D put Saggs through the table.

Angelina Love is interviewed in the back. She talks about how it sucks that she and Tara lost. Angelina issues an open challenge to any member of the Beautiful People for tonight, especially Velvet Sky. Angelina calls them rip offs of her since she is the original. Angelina says that she thinks that she may need to go on her own quest to take out the trash one beautiful person at a time.

They show yet another video with Borash interviewing The Band saying that their match at Destination X is official. They say that it should not be an issue. Nash and Eric Young walk up and mention to Hall how he likes money and gives Hall money for five minutes with him in the ring tonight. Hall accepts the challenge.

Kurt Angle and D’Angelo Dinero defeat Ken Anderson and Desmond Wolfe when Dinero got a small package on Wolfe. After the match, Wolfe attacks pope and they fight up the ramp. Anderson lays out Angle and attacks him with the tag and that busts open Angle. Anderson says that this beat down was only a small taste of what will happen at the PPV.

They show another video and it is of Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam with Hulk Hogan backstage. Abyss is the special enforcer for the Hardy/Styles match and tells Van Dam that he has something special in store for him. Eric Bischoff comes in when they leave and he talks about the surprises on Monday but wishes that Hogan had told him about the surprises. There seems to be some tension between Hogan and Bischoff.

Angelina Love comes out for her match and all three members of the Beautiful People come out. They introduce a new member of the group, for one night only and it is Daffney.

Angelina Love defeats Daffney by disqualification. Daffney attacks Angelina from behind and tries to use a hammer but it did not work because of the referee. Velvet, Madison, and Lacey get involved leading to Angelina getting the win by disqualification. All four attack Angelina after the match. Daffney goes up the ramp to get the ugly stick but the referee tries to stop her. Tara hops over the rail and lays out the Velvet, Madison, and Lacey before staring down Daffney.

Kevin Nash versus Scott Hall in the Five Minute Challenge. Waltman comes out with handcuffs and they handcuff Nash to the ropes and put the boots to him. Eric Young comes out for the save and gets the upper hand for a short period of time but Hall and Waltman take the $25,000 and leave.

Hogan comes out and says that he can't get the image out of head of Abyss saying 'why sting why' and Hogan wants an answer from Sting. Sting makes his way down but Van Dam jumps him and Van Dam beats Sting up as they fight around the ring. Van Dam rolls Sting into the ring and Van Dam throws Hogan the bat. Bischoff comes out with security and wants to know what Hogan is doing. Bischoff has security escort Sting out of the building. Bischoff calls out Hogan on saying that he won't wrestle and how he is supposed to be leading the company. Hogan gives no response and Eric leaves the ring.

Hernandez and Jeff Jarrett are seen backstage. Hernandez tells Jeff that he will help him take on Beer Money in a match tonight. Eric Bischoff overhears this and interrupts the conversation saying that will not happen. Eric says that Hernandez will face Beer Money in a handicap match with Jarrett as the referee. Eric tells Jarrett to call it right down the middle.

Beer Money defeated Hernandez with the DWI. During the match, Matt Morgan came out and was on commentary but left before the end of the match. After the match, Beer Money attacked Jarrett and were posing to the crowd until Jarrett made a comeback and Hernandez joined Jarrett and took care of Beer Money.

Eric Bischoff comes out for the grooming of Mick Foley. They have a barber chair set up in the ring. Eric calls out Foley and sits down in the chair. Foley stops Eric when he goes to shave his head and hits him with Mr. Socko. Foley puts Bischoff in the chair and shaves Eric’s head.

The Ultimate X structure is being brought out to hype the Ultimate X match at the Generation X pay per view.

The Motor City Machine Guns come out. Chris Sabin takes a mic and says that Destination X will be a night to remember. Not only is it the return of Ultimate X with the winner becoming the Number One Contenders to the TNA World Tag Titles, but it will be the start to the Motor City Era. Sabin calls out Generation Me for coming into their turf and asks who they have beaten. Generation Me comes out and reminds Sabin that they beat the Machine Guns in their debut. Shelley says it was just luck and then says that Motor City is the Xbox while Generation Me are Ataris. He also says that they are the Ferraris to Generation Me’s station wagons. He says that they can keep talking about this or the time where the Guns got with Generation Me’s girlfriends. This leads to a brawl with all four men getting involved. Brian Kendrick comes out to save the Guns. Amazing Red comes out to take out Kendrick. Daniels comes out to take care of Red. Kazarian comes out with a ladder and hits Daniels with it. Generation Me do dives off the Ultimate X towers onto the guns. They set up the ladder and Red dives off the ladder onto Kendrick, Daniels, and the Guns on the outside. Red, Kazarian, and Generation Me pose together in the ring. (This was described as a crazy segment).

The match between A.J. Styles and Jeff Hardy is a non-title match.

Jeff Hardy defeats TNA World Heavyweight Champion A.J. Styles with a Swanton. There was a ref bump about ten minutes into the match. After the referee was knocked out A.J. went for a springboard 450 but missed. Hardy hit the Twist of Fate and Swanton with Abyss making the three count. After the match, Flair hit Hardy with a chair. Flair went to hit Abyss and they started going up the ramp with Flair repeatedly trying to hit Abyss. They got to the end of the ramp and Abyss Hulked up and choke slammed Flair shoulder first through the ramp. Abyss then did the 'finger point of doom' towards Styles who was sitting in the corner of the ring holding the TNA World Heavyweight Title belt closely.

I believe they're alternating live weeks with the next week's show being taped on Tuesdays. They'll load the roster with Hogan's cronies but don't want to bring everyone in each week. Go figure.

Why? Most of them spend most of the match laying off to the side.

This was to set up the WWF/NWA feud, of course, but for as much as people criticize Cornette for being inconsistent or biting the hand that feeds him, I would disagree entirely. He's very consistent in what he wants in a wrestling program and what he wants to promote.
again im with you on cornette. watching the ROH matches compared to TNA and WWE...ROH has them beat...at least in my opinion. its not like the hands that feed him gave him much to eat anyway. WWE screwed him at OVW and TNA with the hiring of Russo. Yeah Jimmy deserves to give a fuck you to both TNA and WWE.

RAW vs. Impact

March 9, 2010

Last night was the restart of the big Monday Night Wars, or at least that is what TNA would like us all to believe. I’m all for the competition and a return to the Monday Night Wars atmosphere, but I just don’t see that happening. The analogy I like best is looking at this Monday Night situation as: Canada declaring war on the USA, with Canada deciding to lead the charge with mainly veteran soldiers from WWII, because none of the current soldiers in the Military have big war experience.

All of that being said I do have a lot of strong opinions of both RAW and Impact from this week as I managed to sit down and watch both shows in their entirety last night. Let me also state that there is no way I will ever watch all 4 hours of wrestling programming Monday nights ever again. I only managed it last night because I knew I was doing the “Insider” segment on the Fight Show (on Sirius Hardcore Sports Radio) today with my friend Mauro Ranallo.

Let me do RAW first because I think that will be the shorter rant. On the whole I liked RAW. That being said it was far from an exciting show and didn’t produce much in the way of good wrestling; but it did, for the most part, built toward WrestleMania in a logical manner. I’m not going to go segment by segment but I do want to point out a few key segments.

HBK-Taker promo: I loved this segment. This is the kind of angle that IMO sells tickets. You had 2 top stars cutting very serious heavy promos about how each one needs to and intends to beat the other. It doesn’t get any more basic than this and that is all these two needed. No gimmicks, no physicality, no bullshit. When you have STARS this is all you need.

Chris Angle: Let me just lump all these segments together and say I hated them. The celebrity guest host stuff is awful, and on a show where wrestlers constantly “work” fans, magic tricks don’t work. All these segments were horrible and the only stuff I hated on the show. Dreadful!

Show-Miz – Morrison & Truth: A non match, which I could see people complaining about but I thought it served a purpose. Truth and Morrison are a thrown together tag team with NO Tag Team credibility, so they needed to give them something. This segment not only got the challengers some momentum it got them and this feud on RAW (WWE’s biggest audience).

Orton vs. Legacy: This segment confuses me, because I have no idea where they are going. The match itself was fine and the finish made sense, but I don’t know where this leads. Perhaps when I find out what the match at Mania is it will make sense but for now it was just some solid pro-wrestling that left me unattached.

HHH-Sheamus: I was not over whelmed by this segment, but to be honest I can’t come up with anything better. I think HHH’s promo did about as good a job as it could have in creating some interest in this match. I didn’t like HHH saying Sheamus hadn’t done anything until he won at WrestleMania, considering the guy was WWE CHAMP, but on the whole the promo made sense. To be honest Sheamus has only won a couple big matches and its logical to say he hasn’t really proven himself as a legit long term top player yet.

VKM – Cena: Okay this was a load of crap but this too may serve a great purpose. I know there will be people that think I am just anti TNA for tolerating and maybe even putting this segment over considering how badly I am going to slam Impact but hear me out. Yes this match was stupid and the rules made absolutely no sense, and because of that it was complete bullshit, but at the end of the show, Big Dave stood over John Cena and I had more desire to see Cena get his revenge than I had to start the show. Further more I think the complete bullshit match structure could serve a great purpose going into next week. This match illustrated the kind of bullshit Vince will likely try with Bret at Mania, and Steve Austin is guest host next week on RAW for the Bret –Vince contract signing. I suspect that Austin will appoint himself Guest Referee for the match at Mania to ensure none of this bullshit will happen again and Bret gets his fair shake. If that is what they do, this was a HOME RUN segment, because it gives reason to add Austin to this match and Mania, which should increase PPV business.

Over all RAW was an unexciting show but it pushed well towards Mania which of course was the point. Also a note to TNA: Steve Austin is a big star and will be on RAW next week, so WWE is TELLING fans this so he might draw ratings.

IMPACT:

My god I hated this show. I actually watched it first. I DVR’d both shows and with kids, I had to watch them in order of which DVR I had access to first and TNA won out. TNA did have way more happening on their show than RAW did but IMO most of it made little sense. Like RAW let me take a look at a few key segments.

Hogan & Abyss – Flair & AJ: I am so sick of the swerve for the sake of the swerve. Russo books this kind of thing all the time and its complete bullshit. The Sting turn was wrong on so many different levels I don’t even know where to start. WHY did Sting do what he did, it made no sense. I can hear the argument now, “Oh wait, why Sting turned heel will be revealed in time”, but that of course is complete bullshit and anyone who understand BOOKING knows it’s complete bullshit. This isn’t even about Sting’s motivation to turn heel, it’s about his actions on the show and the fact that they made no sense and ultimately made no impact. Before Sting came out the heels had the faces down and were stomping on them. Sting then ran down and stopped them, allowing the faces to get back to their feet. He then hits the faces he just saved with the bat, knocking them down and then he leaves. The heels then proceed to stomp on the baby faces again. The scene was EXACTY the same after Sting left as it was before he came out. Net result = 0; so what did it mean? The answer is nothing. Stings attacked resulted in NOTHING. If Sting wanted the faces to get beat up he could have just stayed in the back and did nothing and got the same result. I don’t even want to get into the fact that Russo has tried to turn Sting heel at least twice before and it has never worked. Fans like this guy, why swim up stream and try to get them to boo him?

Hogan backstage segments: Like the Chris Angle segments I want to lump these together because I hated them all. Although at least the Chris Angle stuff was just pointless, these segments were detrimental to the show. The thought of hyping a main event match by constantly promoting the fact that the top Hero in the match is too old and washed up to compete anymore is just beyond me. The bulk of these segments established that no one thought Hogan had anything left to offer and Hogan agreed with them. Then Hogan and Bischoff tell us that Hogan is the ONLY chance this company has and without him TNA is dead and not worth a damn. That’s one hell of a sales pitch. Better yet Earl Hebner; remember him? Earl was fired by Hulk Hogan for taking money from Ric and AJ to screw over Kurt Angle in a match Hogan booked. So Hogan not only hires him back but makes him the ref of his own match against Ric and AJ. (WTF?) It gets better, Hogan goes on to make Earl promise that if things get tough out there and it looks bad for him, PLEASE STOP THE MATCH. Unless the goal was to ensure Hogan can never draw a dime ever again, I have no idea what the point of this was.

Williams-Daniels-Kaz: Best match of the night on either show (ROH excluded, I don’t get HD Net, which makes me very sad). Wow three guys going out there and producing the best segment on Impact with no angles or bullshit at all. Good hard fought exciting match. Please give me more of this!!!!!

Sting – RVD: This was the worst thing on either show by far. To start I can’t believe they signed RVD and wanted to keep it secret. TNA needs ratings, to get those you have to get people who don’t watch your show to start. Rob is a big deal, fans LOVE this guy, so you need to let them know he will be on your show. That being said they did such a horrible job with RVD they should be glad if none of his fans saw this. Fans got to cheer RVD for about 10 second. He got a fluke (jumped him from behind) win over Sting, that meant nothing, and then proceeded to get the hell beat out of him for what felt like 10 minutes. This was a complete burial because the focus of this endless beat down wasn’t heat between RVD and Sting; it was between Sting and Hogan. RVD was left as nothing more than an after thought because the focus at the close of the segment was Sting laying out Hulk Hogan, again. Rob was not mentioned again, he was forgotten. What a waste. They wasted Rob Van Dam’s debut in order to get over Sting hitting Hogan with a bat... something that had already been done earlier in the show.

Beer Money – JJ: I just have to clarify one point here. Beer Money turned heel tonight because (according to the announcers) they hadn’t been on TV much lately and were trying to get noticed. For the record last week on Impact Beer Money pinned the World Tag Team Champions, and were scheduled to get a Title shot at the PPV. Remind me again how Vince Russo is a great story teller.

Main Event: If the show would have ended at the finish of this match I might have been able to give this a thumbs up since Abyss is challenging AJ at the next PPV and he pinned him here to build toward that match. Unfortunately the show didn’t end there and TNA decided to dilute all that with a bunch of run ins. Pope and Nigel have pretty much nothing to do with this and the show closed with Jeff Hardy laying out AJ Styles, despite AJ facing Abyss on this PPV and Pope on the next one.

In closing, the ratings just came in and the WAR may be over already. RAW got a 3.4 and Impact got 0.98. Yes the biggest night in TNA History Live on Monday night produced a ratings drop from the 1.1 they pulled the last 2 weeks doing taped shows on Thursdays and those 1.1’s were considered bad. If you look at the quarter hours, things look even worse. Impact opened and closed the show with their TOP angle: Hogan & Abyss vs. Flair and AJ. This was the match that was supposed to pull the ratings and the opening and closing segments of the show were the lowest rated. Excluding the over run, the last quarter hour rating for the show was a 0.76 (the lowest rated segment on the show). WWE’s last quarter hour on the other hand was a 3.6 (the highest rated segment on the show).

What more can be said,
Lance

Just won a contest on the radio by answering a TNA question from Monday night. Won 2 tickets for the Pensacola house show the 19th, backstage passes, Hulkamania shirt, Lockdown shirt and two TNA dvds. Does anyone know how the backstage deal works at TNA events?

I liked everything on Impact, except for:

- Bubba the Douche Bag
- The backstage Hogan stuff was hokey
- The confusing Beer Money vs. Jarret, w/ special guest referee Mick Foley. Seriously. One of the best tag teams in pro wrestling should have been showcased in a tag team match.
- Shannon Moore looks like an absolute douche pickle

Tell them you're friends with Hogan and "The Nasties."

They'll book you to go over Rob Terry and capture the Legends title.

Brak, TNA as a promotion has a lot going for it. But "like" is a strong word to describe the show, IMO. I have an attention span, and TNA refuses to let me use it.

Yeah. The pacing was spastic, but I thought that it was used well in the Sting vs. RVD "match". From a quick match, to a long, brutal bat beating... I thought that was a nice contrast.

Looks like Warrior in the HoF might be back on.

-- Conspicuously, no Hall of Fame announcement was made this past week on Raw. It is believed that the announcement was cut out due to time constraints as WWE still has three names to announce, with one being Stu Hart. It is believed that his announcement will tie into next week's WrestleMania contract signing between Bret Hart and Vince McMahon, with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin presiding.

It's being speculated that WWE and Ultimate Warrior may have come to an agreement on him joining this year's Hall of Fame class as he appeared in the opening montage before Raw, replacing Ric Flair. At last word, Warrior is not among the scheduled three to be announced. The only thing known about the other two names is that "they are not names that would be expected."

Also, Bischoff posted this on his Facebook and it's been confirmed by Bryan Alvarez.
Allegedly WWE found out about a Lloyds of London policy that Bret had in effect AFTER setting up this match, and as a result Lloyds of London has to approve of the physical structure of the match. Can't confirm this, and perhaps WWE has 'bought out' the problem, but if not, could be disappointing. Either way, I am looking forward to it and am happy for Bret. Going back to WWE in any capacity was the right thing for him to do at this stage of his life.
Whoops.
There was a lot of controversy over Rob Van Dam's TNA debut this past Monday. Some fans felt that RVD came off looking bad after getting beat up from Sting's baseball attacks for several minutes.

According to Mike Johnson, the beating was supposed to be shorter but Hulk Hogan missed his cue to come out and they had to stall for time.
translate that into English for me - it sounds like it reads that the match has to meet the ultra-stringent standards that Lloyds has in place, right?

I seem to recall Mr. Perfect had some kind of similar policy when he was relegated to announcer/manager roles in the WWF, and accidentally blew it when booked in a match on Raw. But I'm not certain of that.

It's a no dq match right? If so they'll probably "brawl" to the back where they can just show the crowd/people at home a pre-taped fight where everything is carefully edited and made sure that Bret didnt violate anything with his policy.

Just noticed this on Amazon, not sure if anyone posted it.

To the best of my knowledge and from what I could Google, back in the '80s Bret Hart took out an insurance policy on himself with Lloyd's Of London that should something happen to him as a result of wrestling, he'd have some sort of payment due to him to help support his family. A lot of people back then signed up with Lloyd's (Hennig & Road Warrior Animal, notably) because wrestling had no health plan if something went wrong.

When Bret Hart retired from wrestling as a result of "career ending injuries" (namely, the concussions that contributed to his stroke), he attempted to cash in on the policy with Lloyd's. Since Hennig & Animal stiffed them and milked payments for years while not wrestling, they were reluctant to pay Bret until Bret sued them in 2004 for breach of contract. Bret won the suit in 2005 and Lloyd's paid him the sum of $800,000 on the condition that his injuries were in fact career ending.

When Bret signed on with the WWE for this return, the assumption was that he'd end up wrestling at some point. Lloyd's immediately pushed for a reversal of the suit since his career wasn't actually over, which I guess explains why it's taken so long to actually make the match. It seems that either the WWE has assumed all responsibility for the match or it's going to be scripted like a sonofabitch to where there's little to no chance at injury for Bret and they can call it "acting" instead.

1) thanks for the detailed info

2) ewwwwwww. that match is gonna *stink*. maybe if they stuck to matwork? i'm sure mcmahon is a mat technician.

I sort of feel like after writing that much in a wrestling thread, I should be obligated to include some diva ass shots.

I can't believe Hogan fucked up that bad with the RVD thing. What the hell was he doing back there?

Maybe this will help.
According to Mike Johnson, the beating was supposed to be shorter but Hulk Hogan missed his cue to come out limped to the ring from backstage and they had to stall for time.
You did see what Hogan looked like during his match, right?

That Hart Family DVD sounds good but they will have to come out with another one once the Third Generation finish their careers in WWE.

I guess WWE isn't as pissed as I though they would be at Anvil for being on Impact a while back.

I drunk typed while watching TNA this morning.

This is kinda long, so I spoilered it.

TNA Impact... review? I dunno man.

Allright so here we go... TNA on Monday night.

Hulk comes out with Abyss so I guess we're doing the main event first... LoL. Who the fuck is writing this? The announcer that isn't Tazz does a pretty good job of justifying why Hogan is even "wrestling" again. When the fuck are they going to kill this the storyline about the WWE Hall of Fame ring? Soooo.... the WWE ring gives Abyss super powers? I don't follow.

Dixie Carter is fecking het. What is she... 60? Botox does old people wonders.

AJ Styles is walking like Ric Flair... This is horrible already. I'm glad I watched Raw.

OK so Hogan gets kicked in the back of the head and all of a sudden Sting comes out. Yay. And... Sting joins Flair/AJ... So there isn't going to be a match. This is a good thing. Is this supposed to be like a Bizarro NWO?

Even when he's laying in Hogans blood, Abyss is still waving that ring around...

They just turned the match into a no DQ for later tonight. It's nice to see a quick follow up with Dixie talking to Sting. It's rare to see any follow up to matches/run-ins With that said... I don't need to see AJ/Flair jibber jabber on the mic. Why are we promo-ing a match that had a whole fucking match and Sting run-in to promote itself? WTF? WOOOO?

Abyss does a Mick Foley impression, and Brooke Hogan acts poorly.

Do they give every motherfucking wrestler that steps into the ring a fucking mic? Just STFU and wrestle. Who the fuck is this guy and why does he look like Razor Ramon?

Too many X division wrestlers at once. Am I actually supposed to like this Razor Ramon wannabe and the bald dude with eyeliner and no eyebrows over the cool British guy? I don't know who any of these people are besides the bald guy, and I don't care. These guys are all talking about what they've done for the X Division, and OF COURSE, out walks Bischoff. Dude can't go two matches without putting himself on TV. Damn he looks old as fuck. He just said he's going to make the X Division run "bigger faster and stronger... Get my drift?"

That was a doc on steroids in sports. I'm wondering if he was saying he's going to make everyone in X Division take more roids.

I walked away to get the mail for a minute during this match... Because I care so much about it.

This is fucking boring. I should have stayed outside and fought with my neighbor.

Shannon Moore comes out with a $$$$$$ mowhawk. So I guess that makes Hardy a lock, even though we knew that already.

WAIT A fuckING SECOND! They just cut a whole 10 minute promo about how those two guys did so much in the past 7 years, and they should be champ.. and then here comes Shannon Moore and Bischoff gives him a title shot at the ppv. Why did we waste so much time establishing these three characters just to step on them for some $$$$$$ who hasn't done shit in 5 years? Even when Shannon Moore is having his best day, he's annoying. That is the best way I can describe him... Annoying.

These hot broads are wearing Bret Hart colors. That is illogical in a number of ways.

I want to fuck the shit out of Daffne (however it's spelled).

All in all this show is better than Raw was. Nothing about Raw has changed yet, but we'll see what happens after WM.

You know Sting is going to have to fight RVD, but after the guy that's not Tazz said something like "Who will Sting have to face tonight?" Tazz is like... "What were you doing at 4:20 this morning?"

WTF is that even supposed to mean? In the words of RVD... Whatever.

Here comes Sting. This guy is horrible. I was never a fan. That's not true. I was a fan of California volleyball Sting way back in the day. Once he turned Crow Sting, I said "No". He should get back with the Warrior or do an angle where they fued for some reason. You know Warrior is sitting by the phone waiting for TNA to call.

fuckING 1,2,3 SQUASH ON STING BY RVD. But at least Sting no sells and gets the bat to RVD. This worked out as a good angle and I hope they don't fuck it up by forgetting that these two even fought. It seems like TNA never bothers to follow up with fueds. After Sting beat the shit out of RVD the way he did, and after beating the shit out of referees, hopefully they.. oh here comes Hogan...

Hogan has a fucking bandaid on his head but he didn't bother to wash the blood off his face in the 30 mins he had backstage. Why is security holding back Hogan when he runs the company? And this whole time the fake NWO music is playing. So while Sting is beating the shit out of EVERYONE with a bat and meyhem is taking place in the ring, you have the NWO tune as the soundtrack. Interesting. It's also interesting that Hogan came out just to get his ass beat, and they're STILL playing the "Oh Terry don't do it, your knees" angle with Hogan and all of his friends. I don't feel sympathetic when Bubba the fucking Love Sponge is worried about you. I would actually rather see you get beat the fuck up if you're friends with Bubba the fucking Love Sponge.

Here comes Super Shredder to address Hall and X-Pac. Who cares. Keep Hall, make him actually work out or be fired, and fire X-Pac. Waste of TV time. LoL. He says that they're going to have a match at the X Something PPV.

Hall is racist chants... I don't know what that's about. ::shrug::

Why is X-Pac doing the crotch chops still? He's promoting a WWE brand every time he does that.

WTF is this bullshit with TNA having security for EVERY wrestler?

Hall just said "Shizzow". Oh dear. This guy is really out of touch. He reminds me of my father only more drunk. If they win at the PPV they get a TNA contract.

Who the fuck is Eric Young? I dunno but Bischoff just called X-Pac a bitch and called a match. This is working out to be a good show. Eric Young wins it with a piledriver. Haven't seen that for a minute. Is Eric Young even a wrestler? He seems like an MMA fighter who wants to be a wrestler.

For some reason the army just arrived to the Impact Zone. I guess they are gonna stand on the ramp while Kurt Angle walks to the ring. That reminds me, did they ever get Samoa Joe back from those ninjas? So Kurt looks like a badass as usual. Oh shit I forgot...

ANDERSON!

Anderson.

This whole angle is stupid. They couldn't figure out how to work patriotism into their program so they wrote a whole angle about Kurt Angle losing some medal he supposedly got from a soldier. Kurt Angle is still a pimp and Anderson is my favorite guy at the moment so I don't give too much of a fuck as long as the two get a mic every night.

ANDERSON!

Oh shit the US Army is fucking with Anderson. LoL. US Army soldiers fake punch better than Yoshi Tatsu, and they're still horrible.

Earl Hebner is asking for a second chance for something. I don't know what. But Hogan does a good job of keeping the backstage segments "real". He's like "Earl I love you but I got a lot of shit right now please just piss off for a minute brother". He didn't say that, but that's how it came off, and it played really well as far as "reality" goes. Hogan is like "Brother, my family is worried about me and if I'm knocked the fuck out brother, you gotta call the match, promise me that." Great backstage segment.

They even have a graphic with Abyss holding the ring to the camera like he's the Green fucking Lantern.

Jeff Jarrett can not speak on camera anymore.

Why is Foley special ref for Beer Money vs. Jarrett? One of the Beer Money guys just nudged Foley, and Foley turned around and pretended to be completely lost for like 5-6 seconds before turning back around. He's fuckin' hilarious.

Jarrett just grabbed them both by the head and banged them together. That shit... is oldschool. Foley gives jarrett a fuckin' barbed wire bat... "Bang bang". Then another ref jumps in and takes it from him, and counts the fall to Beer Money. Why?

I wanna fuck Brooke Hogan.

These backstage segments are dope as fuck. Even Brooke Hogan is killing it. Someone give this bitch an Oscar. They're kind of hyping up the match as if he's going to die in the ring.

So here we go. The big main event. Wasn't Sabu supposed to show up? Where's Hardy? Whatever. So Hogan goes out of the ring to ger Flair, and I should mention that I'm more interested in seeing these two fight than I thought I'd be, but it's exactly what I expected. Anyway Hogan goes out to get Flair and Hogan straight OLD MANNED IT. He had to kneel down first then lay his chest down, then slowly roll himself out of the ring. It was like a 4 step process. LoL. He's gagging Flair with his bandanna.

Flair is crimson mask style right now. Dude is leaking as usual. You aren't going to see this on WWE. Flair is taking a fucking beating. Jesus Christ. At this point, this guy is more of a crash test dummy than a wrestler. He doesn't even fight anymore, he's just paid to bleed. They clearly decided that what they lacked in wrestling skills, they'd make up for in blood.

Flair goes for a snapmare on Hogan and Hogan doesn't snap, he just kind of falls over. LoL.

I think Flair just got clotheslined by an invisible person.

Abyss is Hulking up with his fucking WWE Hall of Fame ring. Vince McMahon must laugh at that.

Hogan and Abyss just Hulked up in unison and dropped boots and shit. This is stupid. Why of all people Abyss? It doesn't make sense. that's like dressing up a black guy in Macho Man costumes and calling him Black Machismo. That would be like if you had a dude in a mask pretending to be Stone Cold Steve Austin. That would be like having a guy who already copies the Mankind gimmick, copying Hulk Hogan so that it's Mankind pretending to be Hulk Hogan.

That would be ridiculous.

Pope, Wolfe and Hardy eventually make their way out, and he looked pretty good (no Tatsu), but Spike had to cut out before he landed the Swanton Bomb.

Great fuckin' show, for the mostpart. I'm really looking forward to see what's up the next few weeks going into Wrestlemania.

Roddy Piper actually asked Vince why he was inducting Wendy Richter into the Hall Of Fame this year. The answer was that "he was the only one left who knew anything about her".
