The GoFightLive thing - can we all chip in an buy an account and share it to watch at the same time - kind of like a gameshare thing - or is only one person allowed to sign in at a time?

- Shame about Omega missing the big ROH show. But, Dutt is an excellent replacement.

- Cole, Matthews, and Striker has become one of my favorite commentary teams.

- If we did pro wrestling 'awards', I would say:

Wrestler of the Year: Prince Devitt

Breakout Star of the Year: The Miz, Prince Devitt

Match of the Year: Undertaker-Michaels 2, Apollo 55 (Devitt-Taguchi) vs. Golden Lovers (Ibushi-Omega), Liger-Marufuji, Nakamura-Goto 1, Devitt-Marufuji 2

Resurrection of the Year: Kane, Cody Rhodes, Satoshi Kojima, Batista, Michael Cole

Tag Team of the Year: Apollo 55, Golden Lovers, Kings of Wrestling (Hero-Castagnoli)

Who to Watch in 2011: Kenny Omega, RockNES Monsters (Yuma-Goodtime), Alberto Del Rio, Dragon Gate USA

Moment of the Year: JR smacking Cole in the head with his hat, Miz winning the WWE championship, Cole-Matthews-Striker constantly shitting on NXT

Embarrassment of the Year: TNA Wrestling

Story of the Year: Undertaker's streak versus Michaels' career, Steen's heel turn on Generico, The Nexus

Feud of the Year: El Generico vs. Kevin Steen, Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker

Finish of the Year: The exchange between Undertaker and Michaels leading to Undertaker hitting the big match version of his Tombstone piledriver, Devitt taking the IWGP Junior Heavyweight strap from Marufuji after hitting a top-rope Bloody Sunday; Nakamura landing one, final Boma Ye to defend the IWGP Heavyweight title against Goto

If Alberto Del Rio wins the World Heavyweight championship, add him to Breakout Star of the Year. Kevin Steen versus El Generico, Mask versus Career, may wind up being added to Match of the Year.

really cant afford $15?

If you want something bad enough just pay for it.. that applies to games too. Just because you CAN share the game doesn't mean you should.
Well if anyone is open to the idea I am willing to chip in.
Sorry but I don't think you will find anyone around here who's into your idea. In my opinion ROH Final Battle 2010 on paper looks well worth the $15 to order. Certainly worth it to support ROH since they do put on a consistently good product. I'm really looking forward to ordering and watching this show.

Agreed. I'm definitely going to be spending $15 on some quality wrestling. It's more than worth it, considering how rare it currently is. If you're not willing to spend a lousy $15 than it's time to kick rocks.
Chase, where do you get your Japanese wrestling fix?
I once used a torrent website to download shows. In recent times, I simply use YouTube. New Japan's official channel puts up a ton of video (old, new, compilations), and puts up (just about) every match they hold.

http://www.youtube.com/NJPW

The following YouTube users also upload footage (for which I'm very grateful).

http://www.youtube.com/user/passione2002L

http://www.youtube.com/user/ImAwesomeJH

http://www.youtube.com/user/PuroIshijima

http://www.youtube.com/user/ProWrestlingJapan

These people post enough current New Japan, All Japan, and NOAH to where I watch all the big matches, and everything else. :)

I wish they had a donate button. I'd definitely support them, in some fashion.

Additionally, I read http://www.puroresufan.com to see what's happening in Japan. I absolutely want to watch Nakamura-Tiger Mask, from yesterday, and Nakamura-Shiozaki at WRESTLE KINGDOM V on January 4, 2011. I'm a big supporter of Shinsuke Nakamura. He's become a solid heel with a great look. He's probably one of my top pound-for-pound favorites in today's era.

Chase, I'm surprised to see Yuma & Goodtime on your list as I thought they were completely unknown outside of local feds here in SoCal. Good to see that there are others taking notice.

I'm hoping 2011 is big for Joey Ryan as well. Love to see him make a return to ROH or debut with Dragon Gate USA at some point.
- If we did pro wrestling 'awards', I would say:
And my winners are (keep in mind I mostly only follow WWE):

Wrestler of the Year: The Miz

Breakout Star of the Year: Wade Barrett

Match of the Year: HBK v. Taker

Resurrection of the Year: Kane

Tag Team of the Year: My answer here is saldy void since WWE doesn't have a lot of actual tag teams. But the matches I've seen from TNA with GenMe have been good.

Who to Watch in 2011: ADR, Cody Rhodes, Alex Riley, and MVP

Moment of the Year: Miz Girl, CM Punk on commentary, HBK/Taker, and HBK retirement speech

Embarrassment of the Year: The Hardy Boys and The duct tape finish.

Story of the Year: The debut of Nexus

Feud of the Year: HBK v. Taker

Finish of the Year: Shawn slapping Taker then getting Tombstoned, Randy Orton punting Chris Jericho

Again I know I don't hold a lot withthis list since it is purely WWE. One of my goals of 2011 is to check ouit OMEGA and ROH more.

WWE has been hor-ri-ble and dull all year. How can any of that be in anyones top ten. The reason I can't watch WWE anymore is because there's no surprises anymore. Or any shit that makes you go oh damn.. TNA still gives me that with matches from MCMG, AJ and so forth. I still DVR Raw but after 5 mintues I just pass on it. You can always tell what's going to happen. That's why wrestling is not the same as it used too be. The internet has and always will be WWE mark land. It was just like this on Grandstand Wrestling on AOL back in 96/97/98, even when WCW was killing WWF.

Well it was my attempt to taste test the product. I guess I will be skipping the PPV. No big loss. The money will go into my Wrestlemania fund then.

Pretty weak excuse to try and get us to blatantly pirate the iPPV for you.

Wrestler of the Year: Randy Orton

Breakout Star of the Year: Daniel Bryan

Match of the Year: HBK v. Taker

Resurrection of the Year: Rob Van Dam

Tag Team of the Year: Motor City Machine Guns

Who to Watch in 2011: ADR, Kaval, Kofi Kingston

Moment of the Year: Debut of Nexus

Embarrassment of the Year: Flair wrestling for TNA.

Story of the Year: The retirement of HBK

Feud of the Year: HBK v. Taker

Finish of the Year: Shawn slapping Taker then getting Tombstoned

Well it was my attempt to taste test the product. I guess I will be skipping the PPV. No big loss. The money will go into my Wrestlemania fund then.

Taste test the product? How about looking up some old Ring Of Honor matches on YouTube or buying a used DVD off of ebay for basically the cost of shipping? Or just gambling the small amount of cash on something that has a ton of critical buzz? This isn't like music or movies or games where there can be drastic changes between genres. It's pro wrestling. If you like the wrestling aspect, there is a very high chance you'll like Ring Of Honor.

And I know some people here may think that I'm being hypocritical since I'm a pretty big pirate but there comes a point where you have to put your money where your mouth is or you are just a greedy asshole that stands for nothing. If you want to see alternatives from the blandness that is the status quo, you have to support them. If they are giving you a high quality product and they respect you, the least you can do is give them a little bit of money.

There is also a big difference from pirating a monthly 3-hour PPV that costs $40 and still sells a minimum of 100,000 even when 10,000-15,000 are watching a stream (or TNA's which is always horrible/feels like what an episode of Impact should be) and pirating a (what is RoH's schedule, one every three or four months?) 3-hour iPPV that costs $15 and barely breaks 10,000 buys.

And what is the price point you would buy in if $15 isn't cheap enough? $7.50 with two people? $5 with three? $1 with fifteen?

I love California pro wrestling. When I was 17 years old, I made a visit to California to see some All-Pro Wrestling shows. One of their workers, at the time: Christopher Daniels. :)

I support Yuma and Goodtime, not just because they both have a ton of talent and potential, but primarily because I have known Johnny Yuma (Andrew Pulido) for a long time. He's a real honest-to-goodness good guy. :)

True fact: Yuma, Goodtime, and a few other SoCal Pro guys are the nameless faces in the latest WWE SmackDown opening. I think Yuma is in the Rey Jr. part, and some other part. He's pretty recognizable due to his tattoos. :D

Joey Ryan. Yes, he too could have a banner year in 2011. Guy has talent. PWG showcases a lot of possible future stars (i.e., Cage, Chuck Taylor, etc.).

I have always waved the WCW banner much higher than the WWE banner. I started as a WCW fan, in the late-1980s, and always preferred their product.

I can't watch old WWE cards, as 99-percent of the wrestling is horrendous. I think WWE has yet to hit the peak of their wrestling--but, with so many young faces with good-to-great skill (i.e., ROH guys, most of the second and third generation guys) we're close to seeing the overall product of WWE become the best it's ever been. WWE had good wrestling from, say, 2000 to 2005. But, during that time, I had to endure shitty, and stupid, gimmicks and stories. Today, WWE is much closer to ROH's structure (simple gimmicks, wrestling-focused) than TNA is to ROH.

TNA has showcased some good wrestling, in 2010, but their overall product is poor. Their shows feel poorly-paced, their booking is just-plain-stupid, and Tenay has become a parody of a commentator. TNA is a show for angst-ridden adults who lament WWE and want to band together to poorly-mimic ECW's amusing, organic crowds.

The Kofi/Kaval tag match ruled. Kofi's springboard Superman punch/clothesline thing was insane. I was glad to see them A - END THE STUPID fuckING KANE-EDGE ANGLE and B. add Alberto and Rey to the TLC match since it'll definitely be a better match for it, and having them in the direct world title mix is exciting, although the reasoning was a bit clunky. I figure they didn't want two chair matches on the show since that would theoretically make Cena/Barrett weaker. Cody's DASHING hair care tip was amusing - shame his match didn't get much time. Masters' corner chops ruled. Kelly and Drew's ac-ting! was tremendous. Santino swimming for a hot tag was tremendous, and Ricardo Rodriguez's look of complete irritation rules.

Miz's matches were good for what they were, but man did they also ever expose how weak SD is right now. Not only does it need Raw's world champion to add star power, but he had to work TWO MATCHES as well. Nice video package on him from Fallon - made him out to be very likeable...which probably isn't all that good since he's a heel. Or at least he's supposed to be - honestly, I see him turning face fairly organically by the fans because of his story of rising from the bottom of not just wrestling, but also having a stigma due to reality TV, and then becoming the top guy in the company.

Quotes -
Cole - DESPITE WHAT WAS SAID BY EDGE LAST NIGHT - I AM NOT A TOOL. AS MY BUD THE MIZ WOULD SAY - BE JEALOUS.
Edge - The past 4 weeks with Kane and Paul Bearer have been…bizarre! I don’t think there’s enough words to explain just how bizarre it’s been, so I put together a video to show you. (Benny Hill montage airs) Yup - that all actually happened. Now if we can forget it ever happened, I’d be thankful. People have asked me why I did those things - I have one word. KANE. I’ve known him for 12 years, but I know he’s been evil since he was born. HE RUINS LIVES FOR HIS OWN AMUSEMENT. This summer, he terrorized the roster, and he used his father as a pawn so he could bury the Undertaker alive. When I knew I’d face him, I’d have to get down to his level. No one has done it, so I decided that someone had to face him at his own game! Now, did I go too far? (crowd says no) Maybe I did. But to me, the ends justified the means - because it worked. I’m inside his head - he’s lost his mind moreso than usual! So, it’ll all be worthwhile this Sunday at TLC when I face Kane in MY match - TLC! After all the chairs, the ladders, and broken tables - it’ll look like a tornado’s gone through a trailer park, but after that, I’ll set a ladder up, climb it rung by rung, AND GRAB THAT SHINY CHAMPIONSHIP AND BECOME A TEN-TIME WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!
Cole - THE MIZ will be here tonight!
Teddy - Edge, what are you doing out there? POKING THE BEAR!? Edge, I don’t even know if Kane’s gonna show up on Sunday.
Edge - What are we gonna do?
Alberto - If you’re looking for someone to destroy this loser, I’m your man.
Rey - I BELIEVE I DESERVE A TITLE SHOT TOO! I’d still like to show Albertita here what kind of bite this little dog has!
Teddy - Gentlemen, just a minute. I agree. You all deserve a shot. If Kane doesn’t resurface by Sunday, then you three will be in a triple threat TLC match for the title!
Alberto - What happens if Kane shows up? I’M NOT A BACKUP PLAN!
Teddy - Then it’ll be a fatal four way TLC match! And Edge, if Kane does show up - may God have mercy on your soul.
Cole - Am I the only one concerned about the mental kate of Stain… Kane?
(after a running rana from Kaval)Striker - POP UP RANA!
Striker - EVERYONE’S GONG B’S TO THE WALL!
Striker - Hall of Famers Chief Jay Strongbow, Rowdy Roddy Piper, and Adrian Adonis used the sleeper to great effectiveness.
Striker - Dolph has the prettiest woman since Nathan Lane by his side.
(after Swagger attacks Dolph)Vickie - WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!!!???
Miz - Why am I here on SmackDown? I ALREADY BEAT REY ON RAW! How was your week, Jack?
Jack - Well…
Miz - I DON’T CARE. I’m here because I’M THE MUST-SEE WWE CHAMPION. I’M NEEDED DAY-TO-DAY! Tomorrow, is tribute to the troops.
Someone - AND A PARTRIDGE IN A PEAR TREE!
Miz - NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE STARS OF THIS SHOW!
JTG - Miami needs a king, and I’d send Sheamus - but he’s got a restraining order against the sun!
JTG - Kids, leave TLC to the pros. Last week, Justin Beiber fell off a ladder trying to reach puberty.
Cody - Find a blow dryer that is comfortable in your hands - it’s gonna spend a lot of time there! Find a safe distance - I recommend 6-12 inches.
Cole - That’s why I like about Smack Down - the grooming tips from Dashing Cody Rhodes.
Striker - Cody’s face is his flashpoint!
Cole - Why do you only show the bad stuff that happens to Cody Rhodes?
Josh - The Mosterpiece, Chris Masters.
Cole - THE MOST MUST-SEE CHAMPION IN THE HISTORY OF WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT. YOU MUST BE ECSTATIC TO SEE THE MIZ HERE.
Striker - The Miz was a guest star on TMZ, Jimmy Fallon, and now on SmackDown.
Cole - Miz should have won Superstar of the Year. Miz won the WWE Title, was U.S. Champion, held the Unified tag title, AND was a money In the bank winner.
Josh - No one’s denying how good he is…
Cole - NOW YOU WANNA JUMP ON THE TRAIN TO MIZVILLE!
Striker - HOW DOES A COMPRIMISED KNEE AFFECT REY ON SUNDAY!?
Striker - If Edge has one-upped Kane in the Hades of the mind, what will happen on Sunday!?
Cole - Ya know, Matt…
Striker - Yeah - he looks just like me!
Cole - They’re the tag champs AND they’re entertaining!
Josh - WWE TICKETS MAKE GREAT HOLIDAY GIFTS!
Cole - The Phil Dunphee of the WWE - Santino.
Cole - Tyler won a Slammy on WWE.com for Most Menacing Haircut.
Josh - Santino SWIMMING and makes the tag!
Cole - Kozlov’s like a battering ram.
Striker - Or a tank coming through red square.
Striker - EZEKIEL JACKSON IS A BONAFIDE STAR. DOMINATION IS COMING TO SMACKDOWN NEXT WEEK!
Striker - Randy Orton seems almost…beyond reality!

Actually it will be a big loss, you just seem too thick to realize it. If you think you'll get more value out of $15 of WM (about 1 hour, 15 minutes) than a full ROH PPV you've lost your mind.

I don't understand how you assume you can't "taste test' the product without paying. Watch it online (like youtube or one of the torrent sites) or on HDNet and then buy the show. I mean it's $15.. even most kids can afford that.

Wrestler of the Year: The Jack Swagger Soaring Eagle.

Breakout Star of the Year: The Miz/Wade Barrett - The first NEW champion that doesn't feel forced coming out of the blue as an attempt to get a new guy over by having the belt but since I'd say hes won this award before I'd have to give it to Wade Barrett just for the Nexus even with as poorly as it has been booked since Summerslam.

Match of the Year: HBK v. Taker

Resurrection of the Year: Jeff Hardy - He may still be on the effects of drugs showing up at TNA Impact tapings but I like what he did to reinvent himself even though hes pretty much copied Chris Jericho for his heel turn and now seems to copy Heath Ledger as the Joker for his wardrobe.

Tag Team of the Year: Motor City Machine Guns

Who to Watch in 2011: Alberto Del Rio - Long way from getting KOed by Mirko Cro Cop so many years ago.Bryan Daniel and John Morrison tied for runner ups.

Moment of the Year: Debut of Nexus

Embarrassment of the Year: TNA hiring Hulk Hogan and Eric Bishoff expecting them to turn around the company and it still gets the same ratings as before.

Story of the Year: The Debut of the Nexus

Feud of the Year: HBK v. Taker

Finish of the Year: Shawn slapping Taker then getting Tombstoned

P.S. The wrestler of the year award was a joke.Just didn't care at all about the stale main event scene to come up with an honest answer.

2010's collective wrestling product makes me very reluctant to say there's anything "of the year."

Actually, I have to say that I agree with much of magiblaze's comments. There's certainly no genuine "wrestlers of the year" in 2010.

Outside of Taker v HBK (which, while excellent, was not as good as the first WM match), what wrestling matches have you seen this year that make you say "I could watch that over and over again for the rest of my life."

In other words, what matches would you put on a best of 2010 (any promotion) dvd package?

The MCMG/Beer Money 5 match series was great. Very few realized this because hardly anybody wants to watch TNA (understandably so).

Great opening match on ROH Final Battle.
All Night Express def Cole/O'Reilly.

Colt Cabana def TJ Perkins.

That was probably TNA's best matches this year outside of the Kurt/AJ stuff.

More ROH Final Battle results:

Sara Del Ray/Serena Deb def Daizee Haze/Awesome Kong.

Eddie Edwards def Sonjay Dutt.

Also World TV Title spoiler....

Christopher Daniels def Eddie Edwards in the near future on the HDNet show for the World TV Title. It was spoiled during Final Battle by Kevin Kelly before Edwards made his entrance.

Finally an interview with the World's Greatest Tag Team was shown during intermission. They said that they will be in ROH on a regular basis in 2011.

Christopher Daniels vs Homicide starting right now. Daniels lead on a fuck TNA chant. Also newcomer Mike "The Prodigy" Bennett is watching the match from ringside.

Homicide wins.

Briscoes vs Kings Of Wrestling results:

Briscoes def Kings Of Wrestling.

ROH World Title results:

Roderick Strong retains the ROH World Title against Davey Richards in a great match.

El Generico vs Kevin Steen "unsanctioned" match up next.

El Generico wins in a great bloody match. Kevin Steen by losing is to leave ROH.

Great iPPV by ROH tonight. Simply great. Highly recommended if you missed it to order the on-demand replay once its up on GoFightLive.tv.

How would you rate it overall to the other PPVs of the year? How would you rate the Steen/Genrico match? I heard it was as good as HBK/Taker and I'm having a hard time believing that.

The only thing missing from Steen/Generico when compared to Taker/HBK are the thousands of fans in the crowd. That really added to the match at Wrestlemania.

Everything else though, the story, buildup and the match itself were all fantastic and as good as Taker/HBK if not better.

People are seemingly angry at you for being a Cheapass.

- Former WWE Diva Taryn "Tiffany" Terrell was asked on Twitter this weekend if she thinks she will ever return to WWE.

Tiffany replied: "if I have to sleep with people in power to keep or continue progressing in my job, I'd rather be poor."

This led to speculation that she was referring to WWE Diva Michelle McCool, who is married to The Undertaker. Tiffany responded to those comments with the following:

"No my tweet was not about michelle. She gained her success and talent on her own, it honestly is mean that anyone would accuse her otherwise. If you are not there or in the locker room with her, its completely unfair to say that about her. She is talented and creative and patient and I have a ton of respect for her."

Hrm....that's interesting

I'm surprised no one is mentioning Bret Hart-Vince Mcmahon for any of these awards.

And as far as I'm concerned, Old School Raw was the moment of the year.

ASSume much? I don't have an opinion on the show because I haven't watched it yet. I had a better offer last night so I'm going to start watching the show tonight. Plus, I'm actually going to pay for it. You're not only a mooch, you're clueless.

During past events I've watched some of them more than a week after the original airing so you should probably be OK for next weekend. No guarantees from me, of course, just what I've experienced. It will be money well spent.
