Has anyone noticed Raw has gotten kind of... stale?
- We have the same three people feuding for the IC belt week after week. At this point, I don't care who wins anymore, the cycle just repeats itself.
- Ever since Mickie James got the Women's Title, it seems nobody is going for it? We just get the diva's wrestling pointless matches week after week after week.
- I'm REALLY sick of seeing DX Vs The Spirit Squad. It's cool they brought DX back, but the gimmick is old when they fight the same 5 losers every damn week.
- Where the hell has Kane been??
- The same three people feuding for the main title is getting old too... since Triple H is doing his own thing, it's just Edge vs Cena, again.
- This diva shit is boring... whoever they hire will end up hurting themselves, getting fired in a year, and going to TNA.
To be honest, I marked out when they said Umaga would fight Cena, because it was something DIFFERENT. You know what, I usually hate Umaga too, but that match was decent... I was entertained, espically when Cena went through the chalkboard.
It just sucks Raw has gotten so damn predictable lately.
They were told they will be broken up soon after Raw this past Monday, expect the Highlanders to win the tag titles, as a DX tag title run would be just too logical and bring the belts too much credibility for WWE's standards

That's not too terribly long, and with Masters gone for "personal issues" he's out of the picture. There aren't many other people that WWE can plug into this spot right now with how thin the roster is, although the above spoiler might fix that.

Who do you want them to have go after it? Trish is most likely not returning after her contract is up in a few months, Beth Phoenix (the person who was called up to feud with Mickie) is out injured, Victoria is a heel, and Lita is a liability. Who would you like to put into the women's title picture, that can actually semi-wrestle?
- I'm REALLY sick of seeing DX Vs The Spirit Squad. It's cool they brought DX back, but the gimmick is old when they fight the same 5 losers every damn week.
It is getting a bit stale, but damn it, it's making them money. I'd imagine this is part of why the spoiler mentioned above is going to take place. Also, who else would they feud with? SS are Vince's lackeys, and with there being no tag division, there aren't any other tag teams/stables they can feud with (did anyone else forget that the Squad are the World Tag Team Champions?).
His movie just released in Italy. He flew over to promote it and will be back in the next week or two. Whether or not he gets put back on TV, who knows.
- The same three people feuding for the main title is getting old too... since Triple H is doing his own thing, it's just Edge vs Cena, again.
Same problem as above. WWE has booked themselves so thin that any change in plans can totally screw them over; Edge vs Cena wasn't supposed to start back up until this week, and IMO wouldn't be as 'bad' as you're claiming, as it's establishing Edge as a top level heel and giving Cena time without the belt so the fans might accept him when he does get it back. I wouldn't be surprised if Orton ends up in the mix sometime in the future, and Carlito will hopefully find his way to the WWE title scene by the end of the year if he keeps improving.

You're probably right, but these segments draw high ratings.
There was an interesting article posted today on PWInsider (http://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=19195&p=1 for anyone interested in reading the source) looking at the problem WWE has created for itself by not pushing people to the main event.
Here's a list of everyone who has headlined a show (not including multi-man matches like Royal Rumbles and Elimination Chambers) in 2005 and 2006:
Kurt Angle, Mark Henry, Undertaker, John Cena, Triple H, Edge, Rey Mysterio, JBL, Shawn Michaels, The Spirit Squad, Batista, Randy Orton, The Dudleys, Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman, Eddie Guerrero, Hulk Hogan, Big Show and Rob Van Dam.
Over the past 18 months, that's it. 24 guys. But wait, there's more (or less, depending on how you look at it). Who does that leave as a main event talent right now?
Kurt Angle - Suspended
Mark Henry - Injured
UT - Sort of, only wrestles part-time
John Cena - Yep, he's still there.
Edge - WWE Champ, better be there.
Rey Mysterio - World Heavyweight Champ, also better be there.
JBL - Retired due to injury
HBK - Off in DX-land, still main-eventing but will need to take time off after DX for knee surgery.
Spirit Squad - Jobbing to DX for the past month; not really able to headline.
Batista - He's back now, but was gone for the past 6 months.
Orton - Buried in the upper mid-card and probably jobbing to Hogan at Summerslam
Dudleys - TNA
Dreamer - Only main evented because it was One Night Stand. Jobbing in ECW.
Sandman - See Dreamer, minus the jobbing.
Eddie Guerrero - RIP
Hulk Hogan - Good for maybe one or two matches a year, wouldn't consider him main event.
Big Show - ECW Champ, so sort of main-eventing.
Rob Van Dam - Suspended
HHH - Left off the list, but yes, he'll always be main-eventing.
That's a mess. WWE has hit a string of bad luck with the guys they've been hoping would carry the company through the summer and into 2007; if you get rid of all the guys off that list that aren't around right now, it looks like this:
John Cena, Edge, Rey Mysterio, Batista, Big Show, and HHH, with HBK and Orton as honorable mentions.
At this point, guys I can possibly see being added to that list are King Booker, Lashley, Carlito, and possibly Finlay. Hell, I'll even throw in Umaga since he got the pinfall over Cena.
That gives you thirteen guys on top for those keeping score at home (and for myself): 4 faces on Raw, 3 heels on Raw, 0 faces on ECW, 1 heel on ECW, 3 faces on SmackDown, and 2 heels on SmackDown. Not very much to work with, now is it?
There's a reason Hardy was given the win over Kennedy last week. WWE needs more main eventers badly. The win helps Hardy, who is one of the most over guys on SmackDown, but doesn't really take much away from Kennedy -- who it looks like they're trying to push to the top as well -- because it was a roll-up. It takes time to build these guys up to be credible threats, and unfortunately with how fast guys have been getting hurt/suspended, there just hasn't been enough.
Oh, and if Batista's match stays as the main event, there's another guy you can add to that list of main-eventers:
Mr Kennedy will be facing Batista at The Great American Bash, as revealed on SmackDown.
You know, if they built credible wrestlers at the mid card and tag team levels, they would have no trouble filling spots at the top when a main eventer goes down.
WWE has enough talent to easily fill all of their programs, unfortunately everything outside of the main event is an afterthought which leads to apathy from the fans.
It makes me sad that no one can seem to figure out that tag team wrestling, when done with a plan, is just about the easiest way to get a few extra guys some face time so that they can get enough of a pop to move to the next level.
The immense irony in what you're saying, shawne, is that the WWE's shows are so *loaded* with people (not guys who are over, but overall talent) that they consistently have multi-person matches on Raw, SD, at PPVs (and especially the "We don't know what to do with all these guys so let's have a six-man tag match and a battle royal at WrestleMania matches). Yet there are just a few viable tag teams out there.
So I guess the trick is making those matches mean something.
How many of you DIDN'T mark out for teams like the Midnight Express, Road Warriors, Demolition, etc.?
Hell, back then even the main eventers typically had "friends" on the roster that would watch their back (and eventually turn on them when they were ready for the next level).
Unfortunately, now guys are pushed to the moon without really building up who they are or why I should even care about them. In the current climate, we will never see another Rock, Stone Cold, or Bret Hart, not that they aren't on the roster, just that they will be pushed down so that Cena, Orton, or Batista can have another title run.
In retrospect, I guess Edge would be an exception to the rule.
Re: JBL's retirement, it may just be a temporary thing, but for now there's no plan to bring him back. He might end up taking on a role like Tazz where he'll come back to wrestle the occasional match but stay in the booth; who knows. It sounds like his back problems are pretty bad (then again, so were Shawn's). With the luck SmackDown's had this year though, Booker will end up getting injured and JBL will have to come back to give the show anything resembling a top heel.
I'd have to half agree with you shawne, I think WWE pull the trigger too early on one and too late or not at all on the other (much like when Christian was getting over near the end of his run). I'm thinking Kennedy will be the too soon guy, but we'll just have to wait and see.
I glimpsed his profile, and didn't know that he was injured so badly in a WCW match w/ Brian Knobbs that he wasn't expected to ever walk again. Give the man the ing RESPECT! Additionally, it's absolutely hilarious that Finlay is where he is now, and Brian Knobbs is still a fat manwhore lackey to Hogan who can't hardly ing walk. Irony is delicious sometimes.
Hmm. Ecw was on this week?
 For once Jerry Lawler is right. Extremely Crappy Wrestling.
I notice he hasn't said it since ECW's SciFi debut. Must be under orders.
I will say this though, if it wasn't for me giving ECW a try I might not have heard about Eureka on Sci-Fi. In that respect Sci-Fi is getting what they paid for, more attention for other shows. I enjoyed the Eureka premiere and will tune in for more.
Brock Lesnar made it into the PS2 edition of Wrestle Kingdom.
But, since you gotta take the good with the bad, you also get Giant Bernard (Albert)
Lesnar, man I'll never understand that guy. He had his wrestling career handed to him on a silver ing platter and he walked away. He couldn't cut a promo for shit and they were still making him a main eventer. I mean I can understand if he was worried about getting seriously hurt but he was leaving to go the NFL...
Well, here's the thing about HD Loader, and why it's always treated as a "no-no" of sorts on reputable boards (like this one). You can load games onto the HDD from your computer. If you get an external enclosure for the HDD, download a program called (I'm not telling), and install it, you can either choose to install an import disc from your DVD drive to the HDD, or you can (do that other bad thing related to piracy) and install from your computer HDD to the PS2 HDD. My HDD currently has Fire Pro Z, King of Colosseum II, and Haunted Castle Dracula (original arcade castlevania, released in a bad-ass package a month or so back by Konami). I tried to install Final Fantasy XII, but it doesn't work on the HDD. The list of incompatible games is very slim, but somewhat formidable (few games, but good games). Now that I sold my JPN PS2, I have several imports with noplace to call home until the PS3 comes out (region-free!!!).
Worse comes to worse, you can buy Wrestle Kingdom now, and play it on the PS3 when it's released in the states. word. BTW, Fire Pro Returns was rereleased as "The Best" (JPN "Greatest Hits") this week. NCSX has it for $29, I think.

Edit- Holy shit, he married Sable? uh ok...
Maybe he was next up for the Vince McMahon "Kiss My Ass" club and he broke the hell out before it could happen?
I don't have a problem with him leaving. If he isn't happy then why stay? Money isn't everything IMO. At least he did go through OVW. It's not like these Divas that shake a little ass and get a shot at $250,000. I really wish he would have stayed a little longer, but I'd rather a person go for their dream. Most people don't get a chance to do that in life.
I notice after clicking no many times that the percentage of no's actually went down. You know instead of up like a legit poll.
That's alright, the Nos have it by 58-41 right now so I'm happy.
Well, what you fail to realize is that the WWE, being a wrestling company, sells tickets to people who view the program as a series of "no's." They probably look more at the number of responses than the type of responses. If nobody bothered to answer the survey, well, then that's evidence that nobody cares about the segment. If there are hundreds of thousands of responses, you have an entirely different situation, one that people are passionate about.
This is the company that doesn't recognize or react to "X-Pac Heat" (not to say anything of the current TNA title holder), so don't get your hopes up. The only way she'll be taken off of ECW is if she falls over backwards while dancing on live TV. Keep your fingers crossed; odds are currently at 5-3.
The following post is brought to you by the movie "Clerks 2" out in theaters today.....
I notice after clicking no many times that the percentage of no's actually went down. You know instead of up like a legit poll.
Reminds me of a poll WCW once did that for everyone someone voted for the one person Hogan got 2 votes mysteriously. myke probably remembers it far better than I do. Senioritus seems to hit people at a far younger age these days.
Holy smokes that was that the overall best Impact yet. Actually, that was the best single hour of wrestling TV in a long time. Two featured matches - one of them good, and the other, the main event, was fantastic. Every backstage bit furthered something, and TNA managed to get about a dozen and a half characters over in one show. I LOVED the LAX-Daniels/AJ thing. The listing of contenders alone made the tag division seem meaningful, and gave the belts much-needed importance. Then the blood angle just furthered that. The Naturals/Franchise stuff has a lot of subtle depth to it that I love. It's been established that wins aren't enough, and that they must DOMINATE to please him - that opens up a lot of story arcs, and I love stuff like that. SD has a tough act to follow. I'm hoping that when WSX and TNT Pro Wrestling get going, we start seeing more A+ shows like this from both TNA and all three WWE brands.
There is more on the Brock situation - He refused to give the belt back, and might "defend" it on some New Korea Pro Wrestling shows. Bernard has been fantastic in Japan, and he was a good hand in WWE. Brock seems to be a complete mess ever since he got with Sable, but he has made one hell of a name for himself despite only spending a year and a half on top in WWE. I have a lot of respect for the man for chasing his dreams, and I enjoyed what I saw of his New Japan run. It's a shame he's held back by his own desire to not end up like Kurt Angle.
On an unrelated note, if you ever see the 3 disx XWF set at either Wal-Mart's site or in a B&M store - buy it. For $20, you get three discs of what the best of WCW in 2001 might have been, and I must say, they had better production values and a far better set in 2001 than TNA does in 2006.
There is more on the Brock situation - He refused to give the belt back, and might "defend" it on some New Korea Pro Wrestling shows.
Why is he being stripped of it again? I know NJPW says that it's due to "Visa issues," but I'm not buying it. Did they want him to drop the belt?
I thought he was already stripped a week or so ago, and the tournament crowning a new champion was already held, with A-Train/Giant Bernard losing in the finals. Sounds like they wanted Brock to drop the belt to the eventual tournament winner (I'm bad with names, especially foreign ones), but he didn't want to because it would somehow hurt him as he begins to pursue a possible MMA career.
The easy solution to WWE's problems is to end the brand split.
However, they won't, and who knows why... merge the brands back together and you have enough people for a credible tag team division, a great IC division, and alot of new feuds.
Then you have the problem of too many guys fighting for the same air time... the problem that led to the brand split.
It's not that WWE doesn't have enough talent to put on three separate entertaining shows weekly; the problem is that they put all their eggs in one basket so to speak, and have no depth when it comes to guys that they've been pushing and getting over on the air. Sadly, I'd say there's almost as many viable top guys on ECW right now as there are on either Raw or Smackdown, and that's with half the time each week and only a few weeks to build these guys up.
A good promo can do wonders for establishing the credibility of a wrestler, at least in my eyes. For the few of us who still follow ECW, who can't wait for these promos by Balls to have a payoff when he steps back into the ring?
I think they should definitely end the brand-split but do it a bit differently then you would expect. Have only one world title and one set of tag titles (would definitely add something to their division) that are defended on both shows. They could also keep the Women's title exclusive to Raw and the Cruiserweight title exclusive to Smackdown (these titles aren't show exclusive in the way they are now per se, it's just that they are only defended on that television show). Then, keep both the IC title and U.S. title, but have them only be defended on their respective shows. Have titles be show-specific instead of wrestlers.
For those who don't check out the whole forum, OzCatter's running a contest here where you can score some random schwag for posting funny wrestling pictures. I figure you guys are full of em, and you've got until Tuesday to make with the hilarities in case you need to stock up on pictures.
I like the brand split. If we didn't have it, we'd just had Raw-esque programming three times a week, and two times is bad enough. I love that SD actually feels like a wrestling show most of the time, and I don't want that to change. mykevermin, Brock left the company after (likely) being asked to drop the strap to Tanahashi (who won the title, and an older version of the belt) in a tournament.

Ah, XWF.
I was actually at the tapings in Orlando. Sadly, I had to leave before Hogan came out but I did get a free t-shirt out of the deal.
That really sucks, since it was an incredible show, and could have turned a lot of new viewers onto TNA.
It got me hooked, I started watching a few weeks ago and kinda know whats going on now. It is awesome how Rhyno is so over, the crowd was going nuts for a squash match, and I can't wait to see the match next week.
The 10 pm thing really sucks though, I hope they get something better fairly soon.
Bobby Lashley has been pulled from the Great American Bash PPV and will be out of action for some time. WWE issued a statement via their text messaging service, announcing Lashley had elevated enzymes of the liver and would be not return to the ring until "further evaluation."
Smackdown is getting railed in the ass and hard. I'm no doctor, but what're the odds on the elevated enzymes being due to some unallowed substance?

I won't be discussing this much as I have a aversion to doctors and medicine in general especially with if, ands or buts in regards to diagnoses, but it may be unrelated to substance abuse and I'll leave it at that.
I will say this, Smackdown losing Lashley and Henry (whether people like him or not) are huge blows. They better hope Batista doesn't snap anymore muscles because right now, Batista, Rey, and Booker are going to have to carry the ball. I have a feeling Mr. Kennedy might be pushed very soon.
