The Critically Acclaimed Abraham Washington Wrestling Thread
We have spoiler tags because someone on Tuesday complained they hadn't watched TNA yet to see the RVD title win. Some people are doing it out of respect. Others out of fear. Which one are you?
I'm someone who doesn't use spoiler tags for live television.

But also someone who isn't watching the PPV tonight. ;)

CM Punk won

That's what side I'm on.

Everyone knows what these threads are about. To me, you should stay out if you don't want to be spoiled by LIVE events.

I could understand if someone told SD results without the tags...because that's horribly disrespectful.

But a live event? That's just pitiful.

And Shad has horrible music

I just saw that WWE split up Cryme Time the other week. I, for one, couldn't be happier. The whole thing was a ridiculous racist stereotype from top to bottom. Black = gangsta = criminal.

Though I don't have much hope for their post-tag team career paths, it was pleasant to see Shad wearing a suit on SD the other night.

Now they need to work on Carlito and Primo.

King with the gdlk advice.

Stryker: So what's the strategy for a strap match?
King: Well, the first thing you gotta do is win the match!

And I liked Cryme Tyme. Never thought they should've split. Although I knew, yet denied, that they were done once Eve Torres went to Raw.

I don't know why, but I like Primo more than Carlito...

And Shad now looks like a lame heel. Generic music, lame tights, and a loss. Pitiful.

The NXT ring can't be any bigger than the usual WWE ring - they shoot the show right before SD. They barely have time to change ropes and ring skirts, let alone the whole ring. 60,000 easy? Um, no. No company IN HISTORY has ever drawn 60,000 on a regular basis.

Probably because Primo actually works hard in his matches, while Carlito...is just Carlito. He's got a job for as long as WWE wants to work with his father as a promoter.

If Swagger loses, does he have a worse title run than Shamus?

Much worse. Sheamus was at least able to mingle with top-level guys enough to where it's just expected that he can at least belong in the ring with a high-end guy. Swagger lost to Morrison, who got beat in 5 mins. at 'Mania. Swagger's reign is the worst one since Rey's disastrous one in '06.

Remember Kane's title run? Win it at King of the Ring from Austin, then lose it the next night on RAW.

No shit? JTG won? I figured given his physical size and repackaging, he was a shoe-in for the victory over JTG. Huh.

Give it time; not everybody gets repackaged properly the first go-around. Getting the presentation right for a wrestler is a moving target - not everybody gets as lucky as Shawn Michaels and uses the same music for 20 years. Take John Cena from now to today, for instance, or Randy Orton as well.

How about Yokozuna from WM9? He beat Bret Hart for the title and lost it 5 minutes later to Hulk Hogan.

oooopps. I should have used a spoiler tag for that for the cry babies who haven't seen WM 9 yet.

.......Thanks a lot buddy for reminding me :(

*DID KING JUST TAKE A SWIPE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA'S ACADEMICS???

I wonder how JR feels about that swipe...

I've been enjoying King and Striker taking shots at each other. Love it. Those two should be commentary without Cole.

They will probably have one more match between the two with Shad winning if they don't get separated by the draft. (maybe even tomorrow night) I expect Shad will get new music soon enough, though didn't mind the one he used tonight.

That was one of the most predictable title wins I've ever seen. Kane vs. Austin in a first blood match back when Kane still had the mask, and full sleeves. I don't think there was any flesh showing for Kane to bleed from.

Swagger better win this....because he's being booked as a pure idiot

I always thought the Inferno matches were just as predictable if not more. Kane was always fully covered and his opponent would be only in tights. Then MVP changed that rule against Bald Kane.

Sheamus is playing the lead in tonight's PPV. No wonder they put his angry Ronald face on the poster.

I've read where people think Drew McIntyre has the best entrance music

Shamus' > Drew's

I'm sorry, but it's energetic yet listenable
Hey PhrostByte, I see you're from Baltimore. Will you be attending Extreme Rules?
I would if:

1] it were cheaper
2] my girl wasn't working
3] I was a WWE fan

Ronald McDonald wins after 4 kicks to the head.

Would have meant 100000000 times more at WM 26 in front of 70'000 and tens of millions watching at home.
Phrostbyte, TNA's been at the 1.0 level FOREVER. Their ratings were actually higher on Thursdays with 1.2, but at least they're up from the .6-.7 level they were at during the 9PM Monday Night non-War.
Of course their ratings are going to be lower on Mondays.. they actually have competition. A 1.0 rating going back to back to RAW is a miracle and a new milestone in TNA's history.
