Over the Limit (under arrest) thoughts -
Drew vs. Kofi was nothing special, but I was glad to see Kofi not only win the belt, but use the SOS to win it. He's been using that move for months, it's a well-known part of his moveset, can be done out of nowhere, and they've never had it get a win until now. Matt's beating of Drew was surprising, largely because it involved Matt Hardy getting the better of a rival.
Ted vs. Truth was perfectly acceptable, but Ted's had better matches on Superstars. I did love seeing Virgil rock an Underarmour shirt and sports coat to at least look higher class than he did on Raw. Truth busting out the suplex>stunner was a pleasant surprise. Sure seems stupid to not have that win instead of giving him the win the spinnymajigger forearm.
Punk vs. Rey was their usual very good match until the blood stoppage killed it dead, then it got really, really great as Punk was uber-pissed about the crowd chanting boring, so he just tossed Rey into every

ing thing he could find around the arena and it ruled. Loved the moonsault>GTS setup spot, and Rey's win came off as a huge deal because of how Punk sold the inevitable haircut. I've seen folks get pissed about Kane coming out and helping Rey and I'm fine with him helping - they've teamed since their terrible, neverending '08 feud, and Kane coming out really just helped even the odds for Rey so he could shave Punk's head. The partial shaving of the head here is the only thing that bothered me, and even that still looked like a massive hatchet job due to how much hair was left around the ring. Punk sure did let that mane grow long and thick.
Hart Dynasty vs. Mizicho was the best overall match on the show up to this point, although it lacked the intensity of Rey-Punk. The springboard by Kidd into the codebreaker was awesome - it doesn't matter how many times they've done with Rey, it still comes off as impressive due to the timing required to pull it off. While they haven't built it up the same way, they have gotten over that the Codebreaker, like the Diamond Cutter in '98, can be done out of nowhere. I'm glad Jericho dropped the fall here, as he can certainly afford it, and Miz has jobbed enough over the past couple of months. The right team won, as the Dynasty needs credibility badly, and probably needs a miracle to stay over without Bret.
Edge vs. Orton was kinda boring until the injury, then it got boring, but strangely intriguing because of all the pissed off faces Orton was making. I'm not sure if he was more pissed about the injury itself, or it meaning that he'll have to be a babyface even longer since it has to stick until he at least comes back from this. Swagger vs. Show was a nothing match. Dug the new gear for Swagger, that's about it. He retained with a cheap belt shot and came out first. What strong booking of the world champion. For all the good they've done for him in the weeks before this show, they sure did

things up nicely here. Eve vs. Maryse was okay, and Eve's reverse...whatever that inverted piledriver thingy Kaz does was a neat, if contrived-looking finisher.
Batista vs. Cena was my favorite match of the show. Batista giving Cena the chance to quit before the match was such an awesome heel move. They played off each other's major moves nicely here, and the only issue I had with the early-to-middle portion of it was undermining Batista's Nagata Lock crossface by having Cena be fine after it. I had no problem with him lifting Batista up during it, but when he slammed him down, he ran around Batista's body so quickly to lock in the STF that it just killed the move. The STF causing Batista to pass out ruled. Then Cena brought him back to life with water, which ruled even more. The only thing that could've made that spot better was Batista saying "NO I DON'T QUIT, AND THAT WASN'T EVIAN!" when the ref asked him if he wanted to quit with water dripping down his face. The running powerslam through the announce table was done well - not as awesome-looking as the time he did it to 'Taker at 'Mania, but still decent. Batista telling the doctor to leave because Cena would need him more later ruled. The car stuff sure was wacky. Batista making sure to lock the door before he got in to run Cena over ruled, as did him unlocking it to get out and check on Cena...until Cena jumped him from the right side of the car that Cena ran to in order to avoid getting hit and seen by Batista. FU on the car leading to the FU off the top being teased, which led to Batista quitting to avoid that, only to get FUed off it anyway and put through the stage was a neat-looking ending. I kinda preferred the Cena-JBL version of that though, with him quitting to avoid being beating with a massive pipe, only to quit and be put through a plate of glass with the pipe.
This wasn't a great show overall, as at least half the card was just kinda there, but there was a lot of stuff on it that I liked. Definitely not a show you'd need to spend $50 on the replay for, but for a $15 DVD purchase, it's worth it just for Punk-Rey, Batista-Cena, and the Hart Dynasty-Mizicho matches.
