been playing FFXII:Revenant Wings and Phantom Hourglass lately. both are solid. Love how FFXII:RW has all the music from the original game.

Nostalgia is sweet.. That reminds me of the Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker commercial, with the theme music from DQVIII.

I dunno about Revenant Wings. Does it have anything that makes it special? I've got a lotta really good RTS games, so unless there's something beyond "ZOMG THIS IS C&C WITH FF CHARACTERS!?!!!!", I'll pass.

totally. nothing gives me the chills like a familiar piece of music popping up at an unexpected, but well-timed moment.

more FFXII:RW gush-- the graphics are ridiculous as well. also, the battles are starting to get pretty huge and ridiculous, thankfully. I was kinda pissed the game wasn't just a 2D sequel to XII with the gameplay straight ported over, but I'm warming up to it.

but $40..wtf square.

I've never really played an RTS extensively, but this is much simpler. This is more like isometric FFXII battles with a larger party and the ability to split them up and assign actions to main party members.

Then if it's not a real RTS, it might be something I'm interested in. Sounds like it is something different. Interesting.

Man... if I had $1500, I so would invest in a hella nice pair of speakers. I wanna do it. Eh, maybe I'll make a ultra-good pair of floorstanding speakers for my computer my end of the academic year goal. I'm crazy I think.

...am I becoming the new Mana Knight?

this is what your room will look like by the end of it all:

lain_3_050.jpg

with hentai on all the screens of course

I'm getting revenant wings from gamefly this week for some reason. It was real low on my list, but they're sending it anyway. I was hoping for kane and lynch since it showed medium stock and was my number 1.

So I'm going to be a Serial Experiments Lain character? Neato!

I think y'all bitches an' bastuhds will enjoy the next round of collection pics from me in about a month. A year and a half ago, my collection was something to be ashamed of, but now, it's... pretty kewl. I'm fuckin' shocked I'm not in debt...

And yes, the hentai will cover the screens. Perhaps I will do a black light inspection to prove a point to CAG.

Working on getting all of the stars in Super Mario Galaxy as well as finishing up Phoenix Wright Trials and Tribulations.

Mostly I'm waiting for my PS3.

no no no, the little girl you keep tied up in your closet (who may or may not resemble lain) will be browsing the hentai for you, while you kick back in your massage chair.

My new signature features my favorite games ever.. I'm thinking chrono should be where ness is, but oh well, Kunio Kun is punching a hydralisk and Pip-Boy is going for some kancho it seems..

No games again today.......Jesus......................I think you guys should buy a pc........they are really great......I love them.....

No gaming for me today, either... or until Friday. All my gaming shit's at home, except for my PC which... I am typing on right now. Hmm..

But rewatching clips from last night's new Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job is great.

Just went to Gametrailers and was surprised to see a trailer for Deus Ex 3. Didn't know that was happening, but I'm very very happy it is.

Is Specter working on it? I think he was less involved with Invisible War, and after the sheer garbage factor that plagued that game... not sure how I feel about this one.

And yes, the original game is still awesome. Still. I say it every time this series comes up, coz it fucking rocks.

Not sure about Specter, but as far as Invisible War goes I had fun with it, sure it was nowhere near as good as the first game, but I didn't think it was terrible.

I do wish it was BC on the 360 though.
Not hentai... Yaoi....

And PS3 stuff.

GO SONY!
Mayng, I have never disagreed with you so hardcore.

1) Yaoi? Shame on you. :nottalking:

2) GO SONY? I like their systems (though not the current PS3 game selection) and I luvz their LCDs... but I've been seeing nothing but crappy audio equipment from them. My friend was looking at getting an HTIB and I was shocked by how... crap it was. Even the standalone receivers are weaksauce and overpriced. Also, I would never buy their computers. Or their DVD players. But I would like an XBR5.

Hate to break it to ya, but the real Mark Man is dead. His body was discovered just over an hour ago by the local authorities. The man that is impersonating Mark Man is none other than The Mana Knight.

Oh, and all this is just your experience in a VR simulation / dream thingy.

No gaming for me today, either

Did so much freakin school work. I suspect I won't be doing a whole lot of gaming till Winter Break. Maybe I'll try to finish up SM64 before my break is over.

I'm going through a quarter-life crisis right now though and I'm really trying to decide what I'm doing with myself. Idk I've just been trippin i guess haha, but it's all I can think about.

So, I picked up FPWR, and I now have 0 interest in WWE Same Ole Crap 2008. Thankfully I pitched it to a fellow CAG for Mass Effect. THANKS BUDDY, I OWE YOU ONE!

Ironically, a Budget PS2 Wrestling title is the only thing keeping me from pitching my PS3. Kinda sad that the best selling point for the PS3 is that it can play PS2 games

Same here. SO. MANY. CHOICES. :bomb:

I'm thinking Police Man, Fire Man, or Pro Wrestler . . . Man.

Not as sure about the teaching business as you were before?

I don't have my shit figured out either. I'm an economics major and I'm sure I'm gonna do that shit, but so many people from my school work at shit places like Caterpillar Tractors and State Farm Insurance. I'll sooner put a bullet in my head than run my life into the ground like that. I'm planning on going to grad school right after my undergrad, but holy shit... there's probably no way I'm doing an internship since seemingly every potential employer is one of those hick companies for people who have no ambition.

I don't really know what I'm doing either. I'm going to school, but I don't know why. I don't know what I want to study, and I know damn well that the classes I'm required to take now won't help me at all. I'm thinking of just not going next semester and taking a break. I won't be able to work at the school anymore since I'm a work study, but I'll just find another job somewhere...not like they pay me that much now anyways.

Yeah I guess, it's jumping through a million hoops and bending over backwards for some seriously stupid shit, and I got kind of boned on my transfer evaluation. I guess I'm just gonna roll with the punches for now, but man I just don't know right now. I don't know much :bomb:.

Same here, just taking classes to get some BS degree, so I can go to a real College.

Thing is, I'm not even sure what I want to do. All my childhood, I wanted to be a VG Designer, and during the Teen years I wanted to be a VG Journalist. Both sound good on paper, but suck in execution.

I could care less about money, I just want to do something I'm happy with, while making enough cash to support myself (and perhaps a eventual family).

You kids.. You'll look back on college and laugh.

Actually the last years of college SUCK so you might as well just sack up and get it over with. Finding a job sucks too. I just had a promising interview at an ad paper for a graphic designer, but the owner is a complete dick, not only from my experience, but several people I know who've worked with his company can't stand him.. decisions, decisions..

I also think it's hilarious that his classified ad listed an "ad agency" and only gave the acronym of his business. It's basically an Ad paper sent to people for free full of ads and coupons. lol.

Naw, I'm looking forward to my last year of college in particular. I've been flying through my economics major and I should literally only have gen ed classes my last year. So that'll be a breeze, and it's not like I'll even care by that point anyway. I think I can graduate a semester early, but eh... fuck it. I don't care enough right now to think out whether or not that's actually plausible.
I will be done with school in approx. six months.

I'm looking forward to it.

I want to make dollaz.
What's your major?

Depending on your position, you still have a ways to go before getting dat cheddar.

If I could do anything I wanted I'd work at 1up/EGM writing crazy nonsense and taking money sombreros from the makers of Baby Pals.

Network administration.

I really just want to get into a postion involving something I'm actually intrested in rather than my current job (working for the IRS is not what I would call exciting.)

Sounds like fun, a shame the road to that dream is fucking brutal.

But it does sound like you're making good money.

Honestly, I wouldn't care if I worked a "mundane" job, just as long as I enjoyed what I was doing (or at least can tolerate it).

I wish I had a well paying job.

Right now I love working at the school, but the pay is horrible. Oh well, probably because I'm only a work study :p

yeah absolutely not realistic. Talk about a million people wanting 20 jobs.. haha.

The problem with a mundane job is that you're not gonna enjoy it eventually. But... maybe there's some people who enjoy things like working retail *shudder*.

I kinda want to stay in school for as long as I can just so I don't have to deal with shit like living expenses. Let's me live like Monte fucking Cristo.

I'm tired of doing impersonations now...

;/

I'm supposed to play/write up on Ghost Squad, but I'm super lazy.

I tried to finda Wii Zapper/Link's Crossbow training today but to no avail.

Yay. I ate some Yoshinoya though, so all is forgiven.

I wish there was an import video game store in my city.

I'm going to be retiring from whatever Target, Best Buy, Taco Bell, or McDonalds shithole I end up working at until I''m dead. Actually, I'm mainly interested in a few paths. I plan on moving next year with a friend, so I don't have anything long term lined up right now. I need money.

1. Computer related job. Right now, I fix PCs freelance. I'll get A+ certified, since I've heard that monkeys can pass that test, and run some server somewhere. Or do tech support. Or whatever.

2. Rock star. With the quality of shit on the radio right now, my friend and I could sell out and become really popular with 15 year old girls. Or we can stick to our guns and end up gigging bars for eternity.

3. Factory worker. This is the main occupation of the majority of my family. So I can destroy my knees by standing on my feet for the next 40 years. Not the path I want to take.

As far as Sony goes, I like my PS3. I've only had my PS2 refuse to read a disc a few times, and then I took it apart and fixed it. My 4 PSone's were all played heavily, hence 4 PSone's. My 27" Wega has served me well. It does 1080i and 720p well, even though 720p is scaled to 1080i. 480p and 480i look great; that's one big reason why I bought it. I'm wanting a bigger main TV now, but I won't part with my Wega. My Sony receiver was good until the front left and rear surround channels started to go. I have to turn it up all the way and then back down to get them to work when I turn it on. It's getting replaced soon, probably with a Pioneer. I dig my friend's Pioneer. My Sony headphones were good, until I bought my Sennheiser HD-280 Pros, and I realized how colored and bass heavy they were. Their speakers seem good enough; not Bang & Olufsen quality by any means, but for the price, they are decent. I also want an XBR3 LCD; they look fantastic.

As for my life Im working on Transferring out of this Community College and eventually getting into either Virginia Tech or James Madison University.

Im gonna get my degree in Bussiness Administration and just work somewhere. I dont care what I do, as long as it pays well.

Anyways, Tonight either Starcraft if anyone is up for it, Rock Band if anyone is up for it, or Mass Erect if I have to go solo.

I might be up for some Starcraft.

I have a little less then a year before I finish HS, when I get done with that I plan on going to Texas State Technical College and doing something with Game Design. Most likely Level Design.

Because of this I have been working with different game engines and it is amazing to see the difference in them. (Gamebryo FTW!) However I really want to learn the Aurora Engine because Bioware is the first place I want to apply at.

However in the mean I should start a job Beta Testing games within like a month, although it isn't my dream job, it will add money to my pocket and jobs to resume.

Just letting you know fudge that game testing is the work of the devil, and you know what they say, the minute you start working with what you love, you wont love it anymore..............err or something like that
