It was interesting to say the least. It had good moments and bad moments. Monica Bellucci was pretty stunning. Gilliam done a good job. I guess this is supposed to be centered on The Grimm Fairytales.
Quick question has any seen the extended version of gladiator? Is it worth buying it if you already have the 2 disk version with dts?
Well, it seems as if the new Extended version is more suitable as a companion to the original 2-disc release. The Extended cut is a totally different film, and the pacing is different, due to the added material. Scott's stated that his preferred cut is the theatrical version. The 2-disc set has an amazing DTS track and none of the extras on disc 2 were carried over to the new version, so I'd advise hanging onto that one. As for the new release, I haven't seen it, but I'll be picking it up later in the year for sure, mostly just for the extras and to see how well the deleted scenes work in the film. HTF and the Digital Bits have in-depth reviews up, if that helps.
Another fantastic, classic John Ford western. I don't think it quite ousted The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance as my favorite Ford western, but it's certainly up there.
Either your standards are insanely high or you dont know good movies.
Or maybe he has only ever watched ONE movie, after all, the first movie you see is both the best movie you have ever seen and the worst.
All kidding aside, I can understand people not liking it, but there is some incredibly awful stuff out there.
Superman II: Restored International Cut
Was great to see many Richard Donner scenes placed back into the film.
I didn't even know it existed, but then again, I don't follow the Superman movies much.
Samurai Spy, decent samurai flick, but nothing special.

It's definitely not the Richard Donner version that Superman fans have been wanting, but it's great. It's about 30-40 minutes longer, and has every single extra scene that has been released in every country.
King Arthur: Long ass version. Ice battle was kinda of cool, rest of the movie was rather heavy-handed, and the last battle was a little silly. "Ya, here's my master plan, let's ride down and attack them at the same time were firing arrows at them in the middle of a big cloud of smoke."
Well, you better step up and trudge on through your insane pile of dvds. You have no one to blame but yourself... and DDD.
And my friend who's willing to loan me 30+ DVDs at a time without a set time frame for their return.
Ong Bak: The Thai Warrior. I've never seen one person get hit buy so many tables/crates in my life really good action/martial arts movie. It's a good break from all the wire work films that have been flooding the action market lately
Incredible, amazing film. And with that, if you have have an artistic bone in your body, you should definitely seek out any and all films by Tarkovsky.
I'll say, they didn't even bother to title it. Lazy motherers.
I'm not a lazy motherer. The crew and I just thought that the movie was powerful enough that it didn't need a title. Plus, couldn't come up with a title that didn't sound sleazy or cheesy.
AKA The Thing From Another World
1951 version. Great 50s sci-fi/horror movie. It's quite different from the Carpenter remake, so it's kinda hard to compare the two, but I think they're both about as good, just with very different strengths and weaknesses.
