Yes, yet another indie bundle, but like the Humble Bundle, you can set your own price and donate to charity as well. The games only register on Steam, but that won't be a problem for most here. You get a key for each individual game, so you can gift whatever you do not personally want if you feel like it.

Happy Hour guidelines:

*Happy Hour happens at random times: sometimes as early as 4 days after the bundle going live, but most often during the second week of sales.

Happy Hour! Double Gifts! During Happy Hour time New buyers for every gift purchase get a 2nd bonus gift for free (2x1)! All gifts are doubled! Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT'! *If you have not purchased the current Indie Gala yet, you can buy two for one during happy hour

And if you are an early buyer the deal is EVEN BIGGER!

Yes! If you already bought the current indiegala bundle, you get 2 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 3 x 1 ) *If you have already purchased the bundle, but you did not purchase it in the first week, you can buy three for one

And if you bought it in the first week you get 3 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 4 x 1 ) *If you already purchased the current bundle and did so in the first week of the current bundle going live, you can buy four for one

Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT' ! if you want to take advantage of Happy Hour. CAG Group Buy Hosting FAQ

Q: I see all of these CAGs hosting group buys for people. What's that all about?
A: It's a way for CAGs to help each other get the best deal. One person will buy the bundle during the first week, then they will buy four gift copies at the highest tier during Happy Hour. This person is referred to as the host. They then try to sell these to participants for a fraction of the price of buying the "beat the average" bundle individually, plus some extra to distribute the cost of the initial bundle purchase in the first week. The host gains money back, and the participants get the full bundle for a fourth of the cost. Everyone wins.

Q: How do I host one?
A: To host a CAG group buy, you must first purchase the Indie Gala full BTA (beat the average) bundle in the first week (this has been changed since the previous bundles). This will allow you to purchase four additional bundles for the price of one during a Happy Hour, as stated in the Happy Hour post above. Now, it does matter how much you initially spend, as you must purchase the full bundle in order to purchase full bundle four-packs during Happy Hour. Then, once Happy Hour starts, you buy a gift copy for the current "beat the average" price, which will be listed on the Indie Gala page. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK "IS IT A GIFT" TO GET FOUR GIFT COPIES.

Q: It's asking me for multiple e-mail addresses. What do I do?
A: Just skip that part. The links to the gifts will be added to your account page (which is another reason why you must always use the same e-mail address when ordering from Indie Gala). Most hosts will send out the gift URLs to their participants in a PM.

Q: Is it hard to do?
A: No, it's very quick and easy. Just keep track of which gift URLs you have sent to which people, and you will be fine.

Lack of DRM is actually a big part of the appeal of the Humble Bundles for me.

You can understand why they aren't being released drm free though. It's probably better for the developers since the games won't be put up on torrent sites so anyone can download them.
How is everyone buying this? I see the number going up but no button.
Maybe they're backlogged, and every time they send out the Steam keys, the number goes up?

My only guess.

I know, and it is a legitimate point..however, if they didn't activate on Steam at all, there would be many more posts complaining about that aspect.

Saira is a great little atmospheric and lonely side-scrolling adventure game from Nifflas, the developer of Knytt, one of the most revered freeware side-scrollers this side of Cave Story. i picked it up during the summer sale, and I definitely recommend picking up this bundle to grab it.

Glad to hear it. It's the main reason I bought this bundle. I can't wait to play it. You know, after finishing the other 97 games that I bought in bundles in the last two months.

These damn bundles keep coming. They seriously need to slow down, because I haven't played more than two games from the last four bundles or so.

I can't afford not to buy this though...
The more bundles there are, the less I want to pay for any one of them.
I feel the same way. I think I'm gonna sit this one out, it's not like I was going to donate much anyways. I'll just get the indie bundles that have games I'm really interested in or have high ratings. Humble bundles have been pretty good as far as quality games I think though.
Indie games
Glad you stopped by with your inexplicable contrarian attitude. You don't like indie games because you feel that they are pretentious and too readily revered by self-important gamers, like the game industry equivalent of Beat generation writers. You feel you are just in feeling this way because you have been burned by too many of them in the past. I know, I know. You say it in every so-called 'indie game' thread.

The single and most gaping failing in the logic which leads you to the conclusion that all indie games are the bane of your existence is that they aren't a group of people of any kind. They are simply under-funded coders. They don't share ideals, concepts, or values. They are as disparate a group of people within the game industry as there is outside of gamers themselves, hands-down.

I don't like lots of indie games either. But I'm not so - let's be frank here - stupid that I believe that indie games as a so-called medium are something I have no taste for. Surely you've seen a bad movie before. Does that mean you don't watch movies anymore? The jump in logic here is as small as a crack in the pavement.

Keep your unwarranted negativity to yourself. Most of the time you're at least saying "I did not enjoy this game." This time you're just saying "I do not enjoy games." What the fuck are you doing in this thread then? For a couple of months I respected your opinion, even if I am much more likely to enjoy myself when playing a game than you and, as such, found no value in it. Now I just think you run your mouth too much.

Actually I was just hoping to show up and growl indie games in such an arbitrary and dismissive manner as to be humorous rather than making a statement, hoping you all could imagine a snarling basement dweller hissing, shaking his fist at some constructed hate target of his own imagination and hopefully bring a smile to the thread-goers who often express exasperation at my constant presence. Sort of playing up the persona for yuks.

But, uh, yeah.

So because people dislike how often you jump into threads and talk down about indie games, you decided to be humorous by jumping into a thread about indie games with the intent of creating a random post that would allow us to imagine essentially what you always do?

How was that supposed to be humorous?

I thought it was funny when I first read it - "LOL, RollingSkull loooooves indie games". But now that I think about it, it really depressed me. Or maybe that was my life, in which I care too much about internet forums dedicated to discussing video games. Crap.

I would suggest checking your junk folder in case you are still waiting on the email from them and it has been a considerable time. I was wondering why it was taking so long and after I checked my junk folder I soon realized that I hate hotmail...

How did you guys all pay for this? I don't really want to use an Italian Paypal site, but I don't really want to use my credit card either.

It's not going to show up in the email receipt. It may depend on what type of card is used, but people were most definitely hit by fees. They're based in the AU, so I got hit with a .02 cent CBA fee for the last Indie Royale bundle, but I only paid $3.
Takes forever to get the codes :[
Took about 20 minutes from time I posted after buying untill my codes just arrived...

Donated around 5 bucks. I feel like the average is kinda low but to each their own I guess. Not in any rush for the codes as I've got more Skyrim to play. Thanks OP for the thread.

I also donated $5 and got my email pretty quickly. I'm also glad they give separate Steam codes (though in this case I don't have any duplicates I've already bought). I made my donation lean more toward charity. I look forward to trying these games out soon!

Jesus, took an hour to even get my fucking paypal notice. Plus I got my keys now. So that's good at least. I don't like how it's only Steam Codes and it's all through e-mail. I would rather at least a specific page to get my Steam Keys but oh well.

Same here and I actually got my codes before my paypal payment went through. It still hasn't gone through and its been about an hour. I got my codes after about 20 minutes.
I CANNOT KEEP UP WITH ALL OF THESE BUNDLES.

Hmmm. Bought.
Yeah, these things are really, really awesome, but they're becoming so frequent now that it makes me look at my already massive backlog and think it's better to just play what I already have.

I got this for $5. I had been waiting for inMomentum on Steam with a holdout of $2.50 and I liked the looks of Saira and the Hacker games to justify the rest.

If anyone wants the other games form the bundle, drop me a PM as I don't think Ill ever play them. If youre feeling generous, I have some cheap games on my Wishlist (Terraria, Half-Life, Zen Bound, Race, Xpand Rally, Fractal, Sequence or Riven) that I would appreciate in trade if you have codes lying around, but its not necessary.

Any idea how long this bundle is available for? Other than the fact the bonuses are only available for the first two days, there doesn't appear to be any time frame listed on the indie gala site.

I got my Paypal receipt immediately, but took about an hour for the keys to be emailed. Best advice is to just be patient. Hundreds or thousands of others must be clogging the website right now.

Make sure and check the number of keys you got. My wife and I both ordered and we both got a different subset of 4 out of the 7 steam keys.
