The "Is This Game Rare?" Thread

Any idea what to list it at?

I see a ton of the newer King's Quest Collection on Ebay but not any complete of this older one. It has 7 games plus Mask of Eternity preview. It also includes Colonel's Bequest, Dagger of Amon Ra and Mixed Up Mother Goose.

I see some on Amazon at the $45 price point, but is there any way to tell if there have been any on Amazon that have sold close to that price point?

How rare is the Sony Pocketstation PS1 memory card, got it in a craigslist lot last week. Also anyone know the going rate of a Sealed PS1 Dragon Warrior 7, not too many completed ebay auctions on either

I'd value the sealed Dragon Warrior 7 at $100

not very many of them at the moment. but it was pretty common but people really has no interest in them. but to answer your question ive seen them go from $55 to $70. maybe you could get $100 for them one day just save it if you have it.

A few months ago, I bought a new one for $32.99 off of eBay before shipping.

They're not that common domestically, but they're not that high in demand either. If you've used it, you'll see why. :bouncy:

I'm having a bit of trouble getting a good idea on the worth/rarity of these games using VGPC and Ebay, any suggestions?

I'm trying to sell these:

Classic NES Series: Xevious *CIB* (GBA) - Paid $5.00
Classic NES Series: Ice Climber *NEW/SEALED* (GBA) - Paid $10.00

I saw these at the local game crazy and was interested, but I was curious if they might increase in worth down the line:

Shin Megami Tensei: Raidou vs. the Souless Army *New/Gutted Copy* (PS2) - $35.00
^^^ I heard they're releasing a sequel to this sometime soon, do you think Atlus will issue a reprint or this one will simply go up in price when interest peaks?
Dr. Mario/Puzzle League 2 Pack *NEW/SEALED* (GBA) - $30.00

Those NES Classic games probably won't be going up in value much since they're not really that popular. Mario Bros. seems to be the only one that went up in significant value and even the other popular games (Zelda, Metroid, and Donkey Kong) haven't jumped too much.

Devil Summoner already went up in value a few weeks ago and it's calmed since. I saw complete copies going for ~$60 but the price has dropped since then but still higher than what it used to be before Devil Summoner 2 was announced.

I'm not familiar with the Dr. Mario/Puzzle League double pack. If it's two individual games shinkwrapped together then I'm guessing it's not worth it. But if it's both games in one cart, then I have no idea.

It's 2 games on one cart. The average selling price seems to be around $20.00, but since alot of GBA games are cart-only I'm thinking it might go higher for a complete, sealed copy.

Anyone have any info on if this game is worth anything?

It's called 9. it is for the PC. This is the description.

Weird adventure featuring the music of Aerosmith. You inherit the Last Resort and must seek the help of the nine muses to defeat an evil power. Incredibly colorful graphics and the voices of Cher, Christopher Reeve, James Belushi, Steven Tyler. Robert De Niro is credited as being the executive producer!

On the disc itself it says this

9
(Tuttle)
T. Last
and his outlandish organ

Not a game but any thoughts on the Street Fighter gamepads?
I saw the Blanka 360 one at Best Buy and considered picking it up.

*edit, I don't think they're rare now but what I was questioning is will it be?

how much is this going for?
check out rarityguide.com for the value of dragon warrior vii. but for alundra, $20 is too much. you can get it for much less on ebay sometimes (you just need to watch alot of auctions). maybe $10 would do. i actually received this as a trade on goozex recently and i cant remember where i put it. lol.

heres a fun fact: alundra has 9 different discs variants. can be found here.

I'm trying to sell this:

DJ Max Portable 2 Black Orpheus Edition (PSP)

It's out of its original wrapper and has a couple small dings on the package...any idea what this is worth?
How rare is the Nintendo DS Browser? I know it's discontinued, but is it really that hard to come by? Worth hanging on to?
Anyone answer this? I'm contemplating trading this on GameTZ but whenever I look this up it's worth more than a DS game. But I don't need it and would rather have a game instead...

I've got Lunar Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar Eternal Blue Complete for PS1. It's been opened but all the goodies are there. I took extreme care of both games. They are close to being new. Any ideas on how much each are? I really liked both games so I'm pretty sure I'll hang onto them.

I would value them at $100 each

If you mean "worth hanging onto" from an investment standpoint, I couldn't start to answer that. It's higher now than it's been in some time though.

If you mean from a "using it" standpoint - that thing is a monumental failure. I had one "complete", tried to use it thinking I could probably gain some value out of it, and it was such a headache I took it straight to Ebay and never thought about it again until now :)

I know there are a few other games that did that and some of the art is considered valuable. Any idea what I'm talking about?

On RarityGuide.com, I found out that I have 3 of the top 4 rarest Saturn games:

Panzer Dragoon Saga (I remember buying this at TRU at the very end of the Saturn's run and not having a clue as to how limited the copies were!)
Shining Force III
Guardian Force

All 3 were bought brand new. I opened and played with all of them but they are all CIB and M/NM condition.

Should I sell? Probably not cuz I love my Saturn collection!

Not that it's all that rare but I have a Xenosaga III hologram edition on PS2 (I think it was Best Buy or Gamestop exclusive), is it worth anymore than the normal $15-25 I would get for any CIB Xenosaga III?
I would value them at $100 each
Little too high.

You'll actually get around $55.00 for the first one and around $75.00 for the second. I sold both a couple months back for those prices.

That would depend on how hardcore the Xenosaga fanbase is. There's one on eBay right now at $49.99, but who knows if there is any fans hardcore enough to pay that much for it.

I'd recommend listing it as a limited edition instead of a hologram edition. Limited edition sounds classier and more rare, might lure in more unsuspecting buyers/hardcore fans/completionists.

Psst. I changed it to limited edition, thanks for the tip.

I have a few, two of which I knew existed, one of which I didn't know existed.

The one cart has a switch on it, in case the game doesn't work in one position(like the switch for channels on an RF switch).

Bubble Bobble(NES)
Dr. Mario(NES)
Big Nose The Caveman(NES)-the one with the switch on it

I already checked Digit Press' website and Bubble Bobble is a 2 on there, Caveman is a 4 and Dr. Mario is a 1.

I also saw Anticipation at the same thrift store I grabbed those three from.
Not rare, but I was wondering how much a sealed copy of The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition is worth?
I'd say 100 bucks
Not rare, but I was wondering how much a sealed copy of The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition is worth?
It's going for $50.00 on eBay right now:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Legend-of-Zelda...286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:13|39:1|240:1318

It was listed at $79.99, but the seller sold it for $50.00 after having it listed for a few days. The strategy guide for the game is actually more sought after than the game. I sold one of the guides last week for $59.99.

I think it'd be wise to hang on to the game for a couple more years and let it age. It'll probably be going for $80 - $100 whenever a new Zelda hits.
You know, I just noticed that's your answer for everything.
100 bucks

;)

Lucky he wasnt asking about how much an Atari 2600 Atlantis II is worth

Though Seriously, 'twas just a coincidence
Not rare, but I was wondering how much a sealed copy of The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition is worth?
Zelda Collectors Edition sells for about $70 on average when it is sealed (VGPC as source).
I'd say 100 bucks

You know, I just noticed that's your answer for everything.
This made me laugh too. I thought of that scene in "Rain Man" where the doctor asks Dustin Hoffman how much is an apple? "About $100 dollars". And how much is a car? "About $100 dollars".

I searched to see if anyone answered about the Phoenix Wright game in sealed condition, but there was no answer. How much would the game be sealed?

Does anyone know how much these games would be worth?

Tokobot (sealed)
Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir (I'd assume five bucks at most since it's 20 new)
Deadly Creatures (unsealed)

www.ebay.com ... look them up yourself, lazy ass ;)

Any ideas on the rarity/value of Worms: Armageddon for PS1? How about Theme Park for the PS1?

I picked up three PS1 games from a local non SA/GW store for $3.10 total during their buy 1 get 2 sale today.

I also picked up Xmen: Mutant Academy in the three game lot.

Theme Park is worth jack s--t. Literally.

Worms Armageddon varies. $20-$30

X-Men Mutant is worth about $1-2 more than Theme Park. Meaning jack s--t plus $1-$2.

LOL I figured as much on most of them, though if I can get back into Theme Park, I'm sure I'll end up playing that more than my PS3 games. I loved that game back in the day on the original Playstation.

I used to have what I thought was a really shitty park, yet the bus loads of people just kept coming to it.

I mean, literally, the bus was almost as long as the park was wide at one point, even after I started removing bathrooms and other amenities.

Are the resident evil games on a price hike due to RE5? I sold a copy of of RE3 about 5 months ago for like $15... when I went to gauge the price of my RE1 game last night I noticed RE3 is now fetching like $30-40(a bundle with RE2 & 3 sold for $90!)
Any thoughts on what this is worth? Didn't see one on Ebay or Amazon.

Few weeks ago, I sold Worm Armageddon PS1 for $30 to one man locally.
