Jericho's last title run he was made out to be a bitch. Seriously, the WWE champion walking around someones dog? I hope he keeps the belt for a while. I hope Cena doesn't come back anytime soon. I hate when he does his "I'm Superman" routine. He's a terrible wrestler and his personality sucks.

Evan Bourne/John Morrison was a great, good length TV match.

The boring became a little stale, but I was happy to watch a 15-20 minute match on TV with good back-and-forth.

EDIT: HAHAHAHAHA!!! Jake Hager got hisself a dandy ol' Fire Pro Wrestling name!

"The All-American American" Jack Swagger.

I can already picture the katakana for that.

They got a "boring" chant?

Also, Jack Swagger? Really?

[quote name='neocisco']"The Wrestler" sounds interesting. Aronofsky had a dud with The Fountain and I have very low expectations when Mickey Rourke is involved but despite all of that it's gotten enough good feedback that it could be good.

Is that you now officially becoming an heel in the wrestling threads neo? Because you just earned some massive heel heat from me for saying that.

You thought The Fountain was bad? Hmm, I liked it. I mean yeah it was a little on the avant garde side.. maybe not as good as either Pi or Requiem, but still entertaining. Definitely had interesting subject matter/plot anyway...

According to a weekly column on news-journalonline.com, the columnist was sent word that former ECW World Heavyweight Champion Justin Credible is now working as a cook at the Olive Garden in Waterbury, Connecticut. He’s apparently a breadstick baker.

We were discussing that earlier in this thread.

So a movie has to be successful at the box office to actually be successfull as a film?

Dud is a common term used for a movie that doesn't do well financially. I made no comment at all pertaining to my personal opinion of The Fountain. Some people are looking for an argument where one doesn't exist.

I just watched it. Sydal/Morrison was pretty good soup.

I hate myself for saying this, but the Miz has grown on me.

And Stryker is great on commentary. He's one of WWE's present best commentators. I'd rather have him on Raw than Michael Cole. :whistle2:#

That's not just the coolest... That's not just the best... That's just incredible!

I'm just sayin' he posts some link/reference to another site once in a blue moon and offers nothing more than that. I wouldn't call that a "we" with regards to discussing things. More like Linda Richman.

I'm just sayin' is all. Why he can muster up the energy to call out repeat posts but not engage in discussion is peculiar to me.

You call yourself an icon? I don't even know what that word means. Is that a bird? Like the dodo bird? Isspi *gets pissed at someone in crowd* A species that doesn't exist anymore?

Awesome. :)

Shane Douglas' ring persona and look has always reminded me of a sinister retail store manager.

What the fuck, Vince?

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Vince McMahon has decided to pull Randy Savage as a playable character in the upcoming "Legends of Wrestlemania" video game which is slated to be released by THQ next March. Savage, who competed in 9 out of the first 10 Wrestlemania's and won the WWF Championship at two of them, is being regarded by THQ as a huge loss to the video game. In addition to Savage, McMahon has also made the decision to pull Mick Foley from the game even though his character had already been created. McMahon made the decision following Foley's departure from WWE and announcement that he has signed with TNA. Several other names were also removed from the game at McMahon's request, but those names have yet to be released.

I'm surprised that Savage was even in it in the first place.

fuck Vince... there's another wrestling game I won't be getting.

I wished THQ would just say to hell with McMahon's feelings and put those two in the game anyway. Considering that WWE is still trying to get their contract w/ Jakks & THQ dissolved, I don't think they will likely renew it next year.

As for Botchamania, I remember watching that Nitro/Raw interview and thinking wtf was he saying when he mentioned TNN twice, then mentioned TNT.

Went to Game Crazy today and the store had TNA Impact running in the demo PS2. Holy crap does it look awful. It looks like it was meant for the PSP considering how bland and jaggy the game looks. WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 looks like a next-gen game compared to the PS2 Impact game.

Foley and Savage being pulled from Legends of WrestleMania is a bit of a bummer - a huge one in the case of Savage, who was an early WM staple and competed in that event's first truly classic match against Steamboat at WM III. That exclusion takes my excitement level for the game down quite a bit, as I was looking forward to having that match in the game, and Savage-Hogan as well.

For folks on a Hennig kick because of his DVD set, I'd recommend that you also check out the TNA: Year 1 DVD, which has a section dedicated to him, and some good stories about him from Mike Tenay and Chris Harris, along with some brief clips of him in action there.

I can't even be angry or annoyed about the Savage thing. I've accepted that he 'doesn't exist', so the idea of putting him in the game in the first place is ridiculous. To me, it's like if you told me they put Benoit in... you'd never get excited, since you knew it'd never come out like that.

As long as the game contains most of the people signed to Legends contracts, plus some newer games (inevitable), I'll be fine. No offense to anyone, but Foley being pulled doesn't really bother me. It's also a little stupid, since they could just put him in as Mankind, which wouldn't necessarily be 'Foley', nor can TNA use it for anything.

What I'm *really* interested in is the hope that we may get old-school versions of people, like Taker, HBK, and Kane. I'm still holding out hope that we get people like Razor, since they aren't signed with anyone (why we won't get Diesel).

Point is, if we take even half of the guys signed to Legends contracts and remove Foley and Savage (har), it'd still be a hell of a roster. They bought my interest with Heenan, so I can't give up just because of Vince pulling ego shit like he ALWAYS does.

I've yet to see Ox Baker wear a shirt that wasn't awesome on some level. The dude STILL looks the same after all these years too, it's amazing. Ox was also all over the '90 AWA shows on ESPN Classic. Now, they're re-airing the '86 ones, which are better, but like a lot of AWA stuff, aren't very re-watchable. Hearing James Blears say "if you've got a TV, you've seen Windham and Rotunda!" and "you're never broke until your neck's broke - remember that!" never gets old though.

More of the footage that OVW students had to study - this time, an Ole Anderson promo -

God I miss kayfabe.

I didn't see this discussed...at least I don't REMEMBER it being discussed...but a few weeks ago I heard Shane McMahon on O&A on XM. They took a few calls and right out of the gate the first caller asked him why Savage wasn't inducted into the Hall of Fame. Shane played dumb and just said he didn't know and "you'll have to ask Vince."

Oh, how I wish he would have followed up by asking him if the Steph rumor was true.

Wise ass, Internet, wrestling scribes making light of Justin Credible working at an Olive Garden Restaurant should be ashamed of themselves. There is damn sure nothing wrong with earning an honest day's work no matter what any one chooses to do for a living. I heard this same crap from friends and relatives when I first got in the wrestling business.

Tell 'em, JR!

Geez... I quit watching WWE programming for a few weeks and all the sudden Jericho is champ?

I guess I better tune in again and see how they're going to ruin another the title run of another person I like.

Customer: This space heater I bought yesterday takes 5 minutes to warm up!
Shane Douglas: YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIKE IT AND I DON'T GIVE A SHIT IF YOU DO!

::customer approaches checkout::
Shane Douglas: TARGET AISLE THIRTEEN, ARE YOU READY??

Customer: Aw, these pears were cheaper last week...
Shane Douglas: WHAT YOU MUST REALIZE IS FOR ONE PRICE TO RISE...HA HA...ANOTHER MUST FALL.

Ok, sorry.

Yes, I see nothing wrong with Credible supporting himself. It's good to, ya know, possibly have health care, benefits, and room to progress as an employee.
