Loved the return of D'Lo tonight. Hopefully I'll get to see him come September 29th. :D

Oh... and aren't you folks expecting an RNN Update?

Well too bad. You ain't gettin one.

Okay. I lied.
Hi. Randy Orton here. Well...... the good news.... is that my collarbone has not decreased in percentage after last week's debacle. The bad news.... well..... I'm at an low 12%. As of right now my lawyers are already getting my case ready to go to court against Nintendo for this. Phoenix Wright is my attorney whom I hear is an ace at these cases.

Anyways... send me your get well's at [email protected]. With your support... the Age Of Orton will be back in no time.
In case anyone missed it or cared, Frankie Kazarian has asked for (and was granted) his full release from TNA. He'll finish out his remaining dates with the company before departing, and he's also taping a "Karen's Angle" interview segment for Impact discussing his future and his release.

You never disappoint, Demo Man.

I want to see Jericho and Santino in a promo-off. Though I think the world would explode by the sheer force of awesomeness.

He'll debut in WWE as Frank Casey, the long lost brother of Casey Jones.

You know what? I'd love to see that happen. :whistle2:#

Holy crap, great to see D'Lo come back. I loved him back in the day and it's good to see him come back. And jimbodan, yeah, i think he might have put a little weight on.

Hopefully we will see the return of "The Future" Frankie Kazarian to WWE. He still is undefeated.
Is my memory really bad or has D'Lo just about doubled in size from the last time he was in the WWE?
He put on a few pounds (but I seem to recall him being a REALLY big boy in the USWA days of 1995 or so), but by some miracle of nature, actually looks 3-4 years younger than he did when he was last with WWF.

Did the Goldberg wounds finally heal?

Is aw that last night, but I'm 90% sure it's an angle.

id agree with that, dont know why theyd put him on tv to discuss why he wants off the sinking ship.

nice to see you back guyver

Ive been out of the loop with ECW recently.....but what happend with Joey Styles???? & did they explain his departure on tv?? Thanks in advance
Ive been out of the loop with ECW recently.....but what happend with Joey Styles???? & did they explain his departure on tv?? Thanks in advance
He was moved to some high-ranking position on WWE.com. This was briefly mentioned on ECW TV; Taz shook Joey's hand and congratulated him on his "promotion" before Mike Adamle took over on commentary.

Does anyone remember hearing that one of the reasons Kristal Marshall left the company was because of an angle with Edge that she didn't want to take part in? Not sure if I'm just mixing things up and remembering wrong. If that was the case, I can't help but wonder if the "wedding planner" role was originally meant for her. It would make sense since she was friends with Vickie Guererro in storylines. Maybe Edge was gonna cheat on Vickie AND steal Teddy Long's woman?

Wow, did no one know who D'lo brown was? Horrible reaction for his first match. Hopefully they start to catch on. D'lo is my second favorite wrestler ever behind... well the guy who killed his kid unfortunately.

Seriously? I thought the crowd reaction was great for D-Lo.

Also, I saw this at another board and had to share it:
That new ECW belt looks like ass.
Yes, it does.

All silver with no real defining marks.

I still think it's funny that Tony Atlas is getting a giant push on ECW when a few years ago, he had an argument with CM Punk at OVW about his taped wrists, told him he would never get on TV like that (he was already on ECW) and eventually admitted he had no idea who Punk was and never watched ECW.

Somebody add " same old shit" to the tags.

We already know Taker will win. I don't give a shit anymore. I didn't give a shit about Khali in the first place, it'd be nice to see him buried though.

Seriously.
It was so obvious what they were going to do to bring UT back after the wedding/reception fiasco. It's stupid. Didn't UT kick the shit out of Vickie on more than one occasion, as well? Khali can NOT work a decent match, period. With all the talent on Smackdown, this is what they come up with?
I'm not sure how anyone thinks
Khali vs. HHH is a good match for SS...or at all.
Well....
HHHitler must like it.

I don't think I caught that on the capture card, but DAMN was that ever an amazing moment. Not digging the Summerslam lineup so far
aside from Edge/Taker in a Cell
, but I do love the new ECW belt - a totally new belt has been long overdue since the old ECW belt really has no place on this rendition of ECW, and it's a damn fine looking belt - the raised letters remind me of the 3rd and 4th gen IWGP belts, but the rest of the belt looks completely original. Plus, it gives me hope that they'll make a new WWE Title belt.

Today's AWA show was pretty fun - it was good to see a lot of Verne's second-to-last retirement match, with tons of weapon usage that didn't get a DQ (was Russo booking?) ,the crowd going absolutely insane (and Gene being doused in soda) when he won. Very nice tribute to Mad Dog, and I loved Verne's story about Mad Dog opening the plane door just to see how the skies looked. The stuff with Larry Nelson being offended by Ustinov's photo, but not so offended as to not actually interview him, was fantastic, as was Paul E. being all goofy on the et. BTW, the ring announcer on these '87 shows, Mick Karch, posts on the Kayfabe Memories AWA board.

Quotes for today's AWA show -
(on Ustinov-Southern)Trongard - THIS COULD BE A CLASSIC!
Paul E. - How much time do I have? A minute? TO TALK ABOUT THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS!? I’ve got offers from Japan, Mexico, and I’m even fielding offers from other “bad guys” in the AWA! YOU WANT A TITLE SHOT? YOU GOT ONE! WE BACK DOWN FROM NO ONE!
Trongard - Verne has promised that these two will NOT be able to wrestle Jim Gagne…Jim Brunzell and Greg Gagne!
Verne - There’s only one Mad Dog Vashon - THANK GOD!
Verne - It was tragic what happened to Mad Dog, but if anyone can overcome this, he can. I first met Mad Dog at the Olympics, and again in the professionals. One time we were on a plane and it felt like the back had just fallen off - turns out the Dog had just opened the door and said “boy, it looks good out here!”.
(long after the nun high-fives Southern and fans after JT wins)Verne - I can’t help but comment on it - but there’s a nun that’s been in the front row of our shows for the past four weeks. I’m not even sure if she’s a nun, or if she’s a she!
Trongard - Yeah, it’s there.
(on Adonis/MX vs. Blackwell/Wahoo/Rich main event)Verne - This is one of the matches that my good friend in Hollywood, Ed Asner, wanted to see.

Screens from the past couple of shows -

THE NUN!

The Okerlund Boogie!

Paul E. outraged that anyone would think his phone was used to hit a foe.

An example of the AWA's production...falling off a cliff in '87

Lame finish. Either Miz or Morrison winning would've been awesome.

"Let's remember, you've only been here three weeks. And you've had one match."
"Yeah... but I'm undefeated."

I thought that bit was pretty funny, mainly since that's something I'd say.

dont really have alot else to add to it but it may seem that since cena got to beat edge and khali, the almighty trips WILL not be outdone by the lowly john cena. i wonder if WWE will attempt to do anything special with the HIAC since it is takers first match back. even though with that new giant fucker of a cage i cant see someone getting thrown off. especially someone with a previously broken neck

dont really have alot new to add:
i think its khali because trips wanted his turn to tackle the "monster." as for edge/taker, its obvious taker will win and i would say they might attempt to do something awesome off the cage. but with that HUGE fucker it seems rather unlikely that they will throw someone who has a previously broken neck off the top of that thing.

Anyone else think We'll be getting an Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight title? We've got Punk, Batista, Kane, JBL, and Cena in the picture already.... all they need is one more random and they've got it all set up.

Edit: Actually, now that I think about it,
If Edge/Taker is a hell in the cell, odds are they aren't going to suspend another cage device above the ring. Though, I personally would be more interested if they did.

it seems more like a kane v punk or jbl v punk is more likely, seems they are planting the seeds for a cena v batista match

I think there is a good possiblity we'll see CM Punk/JBL at the next PPV, as it seems WWE is either attempting to build-up Punk's credentials, or not realizing he might get lost in the crowd.

Hopefully, they won't handle CM Punk's title reign like they did with Chris Jericho or Rey Jr. Generally speaking, burying the World Heavyweight champion is not a good idea.

HHH trying to look powerful squashing Khali at SS. Whats next turning heel and squashing the Undertaker?

New ECW belt looks cool btw.

Punk is getting screwed out of clean finishes, whereas Rey was getting pinned in non-title matches on a weekly basis (and his weird "this title is a GIFT!" promos didn't help either).

I guess it's sort of a weird booking situation, since they gotta establish him as a guy who can hang with the main eventers only AFTER he wins the title. In WWE logic you just can't go from jobbing to the Miz to pinning Batista clean, without some kinda "building up" phase to bridge the gap.

This of course makes the Rey thing even more strange in hindsight, since they DID spend time building him up, even giving him the Royal Rumble push and what have you... oh well :whistle2:(.
The new ECW belt has a 1980's regional promotion mid-card title vibe to it.

Fitting.
Well when you put it like that, yeah I guess that does make sense.

I guess I'm just put off by the silver color scheme and need some time to get used to it.
R-Truth?

Yech.

Kinda like an old WCW copycat name, but it's WWE doing it for a change.
What? Did Killings debut or something?

Maybe we'll get a 6-pack Hell In A Cell to go along with the Edge/Undertaker Hell In A Cell. Could be Kurt Angle defeated The Undertaker, Triple H, Steve Austin, The Rock and Rikishi to retain the WWF Championship all over again with Punk playing the role of Kurt Angle.

What was the reasoning behind changing the ECW belt? I actually tuned in for a few minutes, only to be greeted with four guys I've never seen before and then went back to playing COD4.
