The NFL 2012-13 Season Thread - Super Bowl XLVII is the Harbaugh Bowl!

I'd like the Seahawks to win tonight. got disappointed yesterday by the Broncos and Packers. :sigh:

Also, my fan level must be pretty low if I can only name maybe two players from each team.
Good lord if this continues I'm going to go 0-3 on this week's picks so far...
Ditto. Atlanta hasn't looked this good all season.

Yep, that and "Matty Ice" has been horrible in his previous playoff appearances.

I'm happy for Tony Gonzales though. Glad to see him most likely get his first playoff win. Also fuck Pete Carroll!

I have to say, an Atlanta - Baltimore "This is my last game" showdown between Tony Gonzalez and Ray Lewis would be pretty compelling. I bet the league would love that.

I've figured if Atlanta could play like they did against the Giants they could win. Well its looks like they are playing the way they did against the Giants.

Seattle is getting out coached and out played.

3rd and 1, not having Lynch on the field?

4th down and 1, Lynch on the field and not handing it off to him?

As a lowly Jaguars fan it has been an awesome couple of weeks courtesy of the Ravrns. Knocking off Luck and this week our old nemesis Peyton Manning. Now if the Patriots can knock out the Texans...
Atlanta is better off if this is a TD. Leaves them more time to drive for a winning FG.
TD either way.

Yup.

Skin of the teeth. Glad for Matt Ryan getting the monkey off his back.

The games this weekend were pretty wild. Both seemed to come down to who made fewer mistakes rather than getting that extra special clutch play.

I thought I didn't care who won this game until near the end I saw Biermann get into a fight on the field and instantly remembered he's married to that horrible woman from Real Housewives, that's when I decided I didn't want the Falcons to win. I think it's just that I want him to feel as bad as I did last weekend when my fiancee took over the TV and I had to watch their wedding special.

And of course the Fraudcons fluke by and escape with their lives.

Congrats Ryan you can finally be on Romos level now.

Shoutouts to Carroll for not coaching his players to prevent those fucking throws in the final seconds of regulation. Hell if you were gonna just give up those yards that easy you should have taken a knee around the endzone then call timeout with around 10 seconds left to get a td and leave no time on the clock.

Niners should have no problem going to the Superbowl. Sucks they wont get to host though, props to that soft as shit schedule ATL.

Sitting at 1-2 on my picks and two of the teams I was really rooting for are gone. But if the Texans can knock off the Pats, I'll consider this weekend a success.

What the fuck was that first kick timeout bullshit. Sure as hell didn't look like Pete mouthed "Timeout" to the ref in that replay.

fuck the Falcons, 49ners are (hopefully) gonna wreck'em!

/sportsmanship!

lol.

Im rootin for the Falcons all the way. Hoping that Gonzalez finally gets the ring he has deserved for some time now. Seeing how emotional he was from this win just solidified it.

What else would he be telling him? That he wasn't going to take a timeout?
What else would he be telling him? That he wasn't going to take a timeout?
I think Carrol was complaining that the Falcons got a practice kick.
Gronk and Woodhead both injured. That's a huge break for Houston.
Yep, just when NE thought they had all their weapons back for playoffs, geez I hope NE can pull it off, because Ravens or Texans going to Super Bowl would be lackluster.
