The NFL 2012-13 Season Thread - Super Bowl XLVII is the Harbaugh Bowl!
Harbaugh just told Bernard Pollard that he won the game for them.
By forcing Ridley to fumble all over himself or laying lumber on Welker a couple plays before he dropped a key 3rd down pass which was right in his breadbasket?
Makes you wonder how important Gronk would have been in this game
None at all, it seems like Destiny ravens get to Super Bowl, after Denver game and Pats game (Talib, Ridley, Chung,Minkavich, and then Grunk injured literally first drive last game) , going to Vegas and putting money on Ravens to win Super Bowl. Ravens and Ray Lewis I guess really are the teamof destiny....Proves god does forgive.
Harbaugh just told Bernard Pollard that he won the game for them. He only exists to injure people.
He exists to hit hard. The Pats are the only ones who get injured (and Welker barely got touched, while Gronk just got tangled).

But he is the one who caused the fumble that got the Ravens final TD.
Lol damn Lewis get off the floor and compose yourself, you dident win Super Bowl.
You know, you can say a lot of things about Ray Lewis and I know he rubs a lot of people the wrong way but at least he shows humility both in winning and losing, which is a rare trait among NFL players these days.

Edit-This presentation ceremony is making it almost impossible not to root for them in the Super Bowl. A director battling ALS giving a speech in presentation. A owner whose choked up, a beloved former owner who passed away. Damn it, they couldn't write something better if it was a Hollywood movie.

So you can root for these guys, or the team that employs Randy Moss...

Can't wait to see the egg on a lot of these idiot expert faces specially people like Rodney Harrison who seems to think Belichic cares that he he sucks his dick so much, we get it you use to be a former Pat. People wanna just somehow forget that Ravens would have been in the Superbowl last year as well if they didnt choke it away.
Or is indifferent to the outcome of football games altogether.
I was being Sarcastic, just a little bitter at the moment. I knew last week when Gronk got reinjured, that Pats would have an extremely hard time getting to Super Bowl and even if they did, it would've been against 49ers, so yea chances would've not look good.

I'm honestly not that upset. It definitely sucks, but I don't get wrapped up in the winning and losing of my sports teams as much as I did when I was younger. I've enjoyed watching this franchise the last decade plus, but I don't need them to win the Super Bowl every year to still be entertained. Besides, and I think I said this last year as well, having lived through the 2007 Super Bowl loss, no other Pats loss will ever be that bad.

Between this and the Madden loss, you've had a rough weekend.

I'll just be rooting for a good game. There are a few players on both teams that I like: Willis, Gore, Rice, Reed, a couple others. I don't really care who wins the Super Bowl if the Pats aren't in it, I'm just kind of a passive observer. The only team I'd actively root against in a Super Bowl would be the Jets, but thankfully I'm not likely to face that situation any time soon.

Tell me about it. The Madden loss was way worse.
Shannon Sharpe going off on Bill lolol
Belichick might be one of the best coaches to ever coach in the NFL but he really is just kind of a jerk. Plenty of coaches will do the duty and get interviewed after a big loss but nope, not Belichick. We already saw Mike Smith go out and give the interview after his loss, but apparently Belichick can't be bothered.

Yup like Shannon said your not gonna win every fucking year so act like you have some class ffs

No doubt Belichick is a grade A jerk. I have no trouble seeing why fans of other teams hate him. It's hard not to like the guy as a Patriots fan though, even if I wouldn't invite him to my wedding.

Is it Spring Training yet? Oh wait, the Red Sox suck now. Damnit!

Anyway, congrats to the Ravens. They were definitely the better team tonight.

That wasn't even his first headshot of the game. Was his first legal one though.

A friend and I joked about having a "who will Pollard injure?" pool, though we didn't end up doing it. Perhaps we should have, since Ridley was my pick.

Yep Belichick does seem like a jerk, but as bvharris said as a Patriots fan I love it. I'm going to go out on the limb and bet Belichick ain't married or at least I never heard anything about his wife aka can't all be like Rex Ryan.

Honestly for as crappy as Brady played and all the Pats injuries, Patriots still had a chance if it wasn't for a few plays (settled for FG at halftime, Welker drops a pass on 3rd & 4, and Ridley fumble gets blasted by Pollard ) Could of easy been playing that last possession only down by touchdown or tied since Talib would've help out defense.

I'm excited to watch the Super Bowl this year and don't really care who wins as long as its a good game. It would be nice if Randy Moss did get a ring though.

Mario Manningham has to be ecstatic. Wins a ring last year, leaves team that misses playoffs to another team that goes right back to the superbowl LOL

Manningham is out for the season...

If they win, he still gets a ring.

Just like the no talent assclown Brandon Jacobs will. :cold:

I'm pretty sure he cheated on his last wife, something Rex would never do.

Say what you want about Rex, and there's plenty to say, but if every guy was as into his wife as he is, the marriage success rate would be way better off than it is now.

That aside, I missed church yesterday so in was glad I got a late sermon in the Raven's locker room after the game. Can't WAIT to put up with that for two weeks.

Wes Welker's wife beat Gisele to the punch this year:

"Proud of my husband and the Pats. By the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis' Wikipedia page. 6 kids 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!"

CAG: where being a Hooters girl is just as bad as taking a plea deal to beat a murder charge.
Wes Welker's wife beat Gisele to the punch this year:
Well, considering the example the coach sets, nothing should really be surprising. Maybe they can all share a big bowl of sour grapes.

Patriots: bitter cry babies when they lose right down to the gold-digger's. hilarious.

I only wish the 49ers got to beat them in the Super Bowl instead.

I'm officially already tired of hearing the Super Bowl being referred to as the Harbaugh bowl.

Ugh, this is going to be long ass two weeks!

Ray Ray is ridiculous and I can't wait until he is out of the league. His lite prayer session on the field after the game last night surrounded by the media was so dumb.

Too bad you didn't have the willpower to change the channel if you were so butt hurt about what he had to say.

Exactly. I am a Ravens fan and a huge Ray Lewis fan, but I changed the channel as soon as the game ended. I never watch post game.

Also, Ray hams it up for the cameras. The media loves how animated and over the top he is, so he indulges them. He's like the football version of Christopher Walken.
