Yes! Bill Watts is going into the WWE Hall of Fame this year -
http://www.gerweck.net/news/1231802480.shtml

Between this and his upcoming 24/7 roundtables, it looks like this will be a good year for his fans. Hopefully WWE reaches a deal with his family to license some MSW/UWF footage for his induction, and possible use on 24/7/DVDs to show a huge audience just how talented he was as a booker and storyteller.

OMG best line in wrestling history, better than Austin's Gimme a Hell Yeah and The Rock's If ya smell what the Rock is cookin'.
Knock Knock.... Who's there? Braden Walker and I'm gonna knock your brains out.
Every time i hear it's joy for my ears. :D
Ted DiBiase's turn was a shocking turn of events.
Obviously.

I figured the "backup" they were bringing was
Harry Smith and he would turn on the Samoans, since it seems all the sites are reporting he's next to join the group.

Hopefully they bring Nattie over with him, they could use her as a manager for the dibiase/rhodes team as well as Smith

ECW spoiler

Jack Swagger just defeated Matt Hardy at the ECW tapings prior to RAW to win the ECW Championship. Swagger got the win after throwing Matt into an exposed turnbuckle. The show ended with Tommy Dreamer saying that if he doesn't win the ECW Championship by June, he'll retire.

Interesting. I wonder how Dreamer actually feels about that should he actually win since he never wanted to hold any belts in the original ECW.

wow, i may have a reason to actually watch ECW tomorrow now

I don't know whose worse: Michael Cole or the TNA announcers. God I hate them all.

I always like how Cole and King make all these lame ass matches (Batista/Cena, Cena/HBK, etc etc) seem like the most amazing thing ever. I know it's their job, but it sounds like they're not even convinced themselves. These matches are so weak it's not even funny. I wonder if these dumb fans even remember how good wrestling used to be. I doubt it, otherwise they wouldn't cheer for this stuff.

But he held the tag belts with Raven once, yes? When the Dudleys left for WWF and right after Raven departed WCW...

If anyone hasn't watched RAW yet, or has it on their DVR... Take a close look at Layla when the spotlight is on her at ringside... You'll see what I mean! This might only be visible in HD, but it was pretty obvious!

I just played it back off the DVR (HD), and I'm not sure what I should be looking for other than the fact that the lights make her dress essentially see-through.

What more could you want? :D I don't know if it was because of the bad weather outside or what, but she was definitely driving with the high beams on...
I have to admit, that was a pretty good package for Austin's HoF induction.
yeah, made me pull out the rock dvd set to watch his wrestlemania match against the rock (the one rock won) instead of cena/hbk for the 9000th time, where it was still boring.

Michael Cole turned into Don West and Mike Tenay for a few seconds during the main event when he was trying to say HBK had changed during his match with Cena, to which King bitchslapped him and said "No, its the same old HBK, Mr. Wrestlemania, the Showstopper"

Very similar to the way they try to make Sting seem like a heel through commentary alone. "Sting took advantage of an injured man!!" during last nights PPV after Rhino said he was going down to the ring regardless of his condition.

Also, no Kofi blocked a lot of bingos tonight, no controlled frenzy for anyone

Seems like those sites were right about the FU. Noticed during the match that King only said FU once and the other times they just said that Cena hit a big move. Cole also said STF instead of STFU.

Overall, it was an alright Raw. Interested to see if Jericho goes to ECW/Smackdown or comes back next week begging McMahon for his job back.

Anyone else think they are doing some kind of ref angle? I mean 2 quesrionable calls tonight in the IC title match and in Kane vs Orton. I could be reading into this to much...

Scott Armstrong, ref for Orton/Kane, is second generation. I'm guessing he'll have some association with Legacy.

however old you are, remember this - the generation before you thinks you're missing out on the "good ol days"....

its like that for every sport, for every fashion, for every nostigic period. your grandpa will laugh when you start talking about how people nowadays are missing out on the good stuff. it's just how it works.

Finally something good to care about ECW, besides Mark Henry vs. Matt Hardy Episode XXVII.
And Michael Cole sucks.
Don't forget the 3-minute title reign when transitioning from ??? to Justin Credible.
Taz. Dreamer beat Taz for the ECW Title only to have Justin Credible goad Dreamer into defending it right then and there.

EDIT - Added spoiler tags for everyone who doesn't want to find out ECW World Title progression without seeing the matches.

I'm thinking the question marks were there to not spoil the spoiler ;-)
I don't care enough about Jack Swagger to want to see him as ECW Champion; that and he looks like a pedophile. I expect to see Dreamer retiring again in June, getting rid of the last of the ECW originals -- I hope he gets half the storyline that Flair did because he deserves it.
Isn't Scott Armstrong the brother of B. G. James? Which makes me wonder why he isn't in TNA.
I think there's 4 of them. Brad, Steve, Scott and Brian (BG).

I knew it was more of them around. Funny thing is that James is their real last name.

Good-ish Raw overall, as the main event was way better than I expected since I thought they'd just do a bullshit finish after a non-match. Instead, this thing lived up to being "HBK's WrestleMania", and was a very satisfying match that worked at building up HBK possibly getting a title shot once the JBL angle is done, and fit the JBL-HBK angle perfectly.

The Legacy stuff was...odd. I like the grouping of DiBiase, Rhodes, and Orton, but good lord did they ever take forever to get there. And what's worse, they subjected us to Sim Snuka on TV again to build it up. Jericho being "fired" was unexpected, but certainly adds intrigue to Vince's return next week, and Jericho should freshen up SD's stale title scene.

The Austin HOF vid ruled - while I wish they'd shown non-WWE stuff, the WWF stuff shown was choice, and I love that chanty music they use in video packages - it adds a big, epic feel to them. Punk-Regal was some bullshit. Sure, it fits Punk getting the big win next week, but these non-finishes are annoying. I do like the possibility of heel-centric refs coming back though. At least they only wasted two minutes of time on this - better than building it up in a 15 minute match and then doing the fuck finish.

Orton-Kane was in slow motion, and unlike usual, it wasn't just Kane. Orton was really, really slow tonight, and I hate this stupid angle. Just end it already - no one cares about Kelly, no one cares about Kane's romance, and Orton's too cool a character to be wasted on this garbage. Like the Punk-Regal thing, I hope the bad-looking finish is leading to the heel refs joining the Legacy after a while.

It would make sense for Dreamer's career to end at ONS, and while I like the guy, he doesn't deserve a Flair-ish epic angle to end his career. Of course, it's possible he could win the belt at the PPV, and then lose it right back to him the same night (or better yet, the next TV show), which would be in line with his character never winning the big one.

If you look at all the Rumbles since he started the affair with the McMahons(roughly 2000), he's not really been in that many.

2000-Had the belt
2001-Challenged Angle for the belt
2002-Won it, due to his return from quad injury #1
2003-Had the belt
2004-Had the belt
2005-Had the belt
2006-First one he probably should've won, but they gave it to Rey
2007-Out, due to quad injury #2
2008-Cena won, due to his surprise return
...was that Candice?
The chick talking to CM Punk, I think, right? She was hot! I don't know who she was either. Maybe the start of a new CM Punk girlfriend angle?
