The only issue I have with LinkinPrime is that all he does is copy and paste things from teamxbox, xboxyde, etc. I wouldn't mind him as a mod, but I don't see him do much besides post news stories that are on other sites.
Let me equate it to this..
With you, I would imagine two people arguing in a room. You approach, they both start talking, and you're all "shut up and quit fighting!" and backhand them both. With Linkin, it doesn't seem like he'd take charge. In the above situation, he'd walk in and go up to two people. One would be like "He stole my money!" and Linkin would be like "Oh, okay. Hey person #2, give him back his money." And Person #2 would be like "Well he called me an ass!" and Linkin would be like "Oh, well you had it coming to you, Person #1" and Person #1 would be all "But he dated my sister in high school and gave her a donkey punch!" And Linkin would say "Person #2, you shouldn't have done that" and Person #2 would've been like "She asked for it!" and then Linkin would be like "Oh, well that's okay then. Carry on!" and walk off.
But who knows, he could prove me wrong.
I know Linkin mainly from the Vegas Nights (I think... my memory is kinda fuzzy at the moment). He seems fine in there as far a person.
As far as how people deal with confrontation, mediation and the such... it's really tough to tell from a message board. I mean there's two things that come to mind to me, which are kind of connected:
1) In both of my jobs, I have to confront people on a daily basis usually because they're doing something wrong or even illegal. I put on a completely different face there than I do here, because to me right now, this is where I have fun, relax and goof off.
2) Which is connected to that point, is people don't want to come in as a moderator type person (that is confronting people or mediating disputes) if they're not in that position. So, basically, I think you have to give people some time in the job to see how they deal with confrontation and mediation. It's really tough to tell how they'll act when their position/level of power changes.
Just my two cents.
