Has anyone here - and I will not explain the basis for this question - ever heard of baking soda + baking powder + duct tape, in some manner of combination, ever proven to be harmful/dangerous?

Re crowns: Putting them on doesn't hurt, just a little uncomfortable. Once they're on and the novacaine wears off... you've got about 2-3 days of slight pain in the gums directly above/below the crown. After that, you're all good. As far as eating shit... you can eat whatever within 2-3 hours after the crown is put in.

Re lordwow's talk about moderator's: I know what you mean. I'd never been put in a position of authority until I got promoted to manager at Blockbuster. Definitely not a huge burden of authority, but still... if you've never had to do it before, you'll probably crack under pressure and just give in. It's taken me a lot of time to force myself not to hand over my cojones everytime someone throws out a complaint. I'll still cave every now and then, but at least now it's usually cause I'm in the "I don't wanna deal with you anymore" mood, not the "oh no, I'm scared cause you've threatened to call the CEO of my company and have me fired" mood.

Without adding some sort of liquid, I don't see how these items could possibly be harmful/dangerous (unless you're going to shove them into someone's orifice's and then duct tape them shut). If you can add liquid, then yes I can imagine it being possibly dangerous.

What the hell? I turned off my PC for a little while today and when I turned it back on, the monitor now just flickers off and on repeatedly. Anybody have any ideas of how to get it to stop doing and actually work again?

Water finally turned on after being off since yesterday evening. AC's not doing too well, it's about 85 in here. :bomb:

Got a review copy of Hot Shots Tennis today. The FedEx guy was just going to leave it under the welcome mat in front of my door. :roll:

Edit: It seems to have stopped flickering, but it's now just showing the desktop for a split second before pseudo-turning off. I can barely see what's on the screen though, but I want the full view that it should be showing.

Just had that happen to me yesterday. Turns out something got shot on my video card. Ended up just swapping out cards with an old unused computer and all was good in my world again. You might wanna trying swapping monitors first to see if it's the monitor or the card.

Yay, finished my MATLAB extra credit. Hopefully I can schedule a meeting with the prof to discuss it and I should have an easy A.

Yeah, they all came untied. I called into the office and my doc wasn't in, but the other docter said that it's normal for them to fall off (the fuck?) and I should just try not to open it up.

It's really hard not smiling or anything. :lol:

In other news, I am now Don Corleone.

But I only have 88.5% of favors completed... with no available favors. Boo!

Tell me about it. The first one came out within an hour of the surgery, the second with 1.5 hours, and the third was gone before 12 hours had passed. Last one came out just after 24 hours.

Oh well, I'll live.

In other knews, I've got 4 more games to go to GS/EB for their promotion, and I'm looking up the ebay and trade-in values of 8 more. If I can get close to ebay values on these, away they shall go. I've realized keeping games I'll never play is a stupid move.
