The Official 2007/2008 NBA thread

Again. There simply is no way that there is this many fouls on Boston.

15 fouls for Boston. 9 for the Pistons with Wallace having 4.

Its simply unreal how many fouls Boston have. They are pulling fouls out of their ass to make this game even.

JESUS fuckING CHRIST.

How many fouls? How many fouls? Stuckey gets the ball on the block in between to 6 10 guys. There is no way when get goes up he gets a foul with 3 seconds left on the clock.

Man fuck the nba dude its really pissing me off.

WHAT THE fuck??? Pierce fucking stood still and let Hamilton ram him, thats a charge? Thats a fucking charge on Pierce? If you thought I was just being a homer before, look at that foul.

They already caught one NBA referee betting on games he officiated.

WHAT!

What did I just see? How the fuck you can you get a foul for a god damn jumpshot? Its a fucking jump shot? Didnt Billups just do the same thing to Rajon last QRT?

Seriously. fuck the NBA this is complete bullshit. Complete and utter bullshit.

The officials are just bad, their's no other way around it.

But, great teams overcome it, look at Kobe, he went to the line 11 times in the whole Lakers vs Spurs series.

Sam Cassell has to be one of the worst players in the league right now, it's actually disgusting. Did Eddie House sleep with Doc Rivers wife or something?

See I dont think Great teams can always over come it.

When you are literally taking away points from one team and give them to another how can you over come that?

And I have said this all play off long. This years play offs is very very inconsistent as far as refs go. There has been many many games decided by the refs and not by the players.

You take away 4 points from Peirce and call techs and fouls on Boston. Giving the Pistons points. Bostons has been driving pretty much all game and has yet to break more than a couple times at the line. The Pistons have been shooting jump shots and looking to pass and somehow getting to the line like crazy.

Your stealing the momentum away from Boston each and every time they get it.

But I agree. Sam sucks complete balls.

Pistons fans should be fucking ashamed that you are in a game not thanks to your players but because of the refs.

Technicals can be avoided, by just shutting your mouth, hard to do, but you have to.

A couple more defensive stops, couple more executed offensive plays, will offset.

Not saying it's easy, but that's the NBA right now.

I'd actually take Donaghy no joke.

Wallace did way more than that but they're not going to give him a technical because of the suspension. Thats the definition of inconsistency. I'll take that T on Perkins if Wallace gets his.

Exactly.

You can over come if the game is called fair but its not.

If you are getting hacked to death and its not called its very very demoralizing. Which is what is happening. When you say one word and its a tech while Wallace dances a jig on top of the refs face its hard to get into the flow.

God I hope Boston pulls this out despite the crappy calls.

Rondo needs to take it to the net there on Wallace, either get the basket or get Wallace fouled out, they still got the 2 points anyway though.

The Refs are keeping wallace in the game. Thats the bottom line.

Perkins just got hacked to hell by Wallace and it was a no call.

Still continuing this bullshit.

boston VS la
i think boston has a better chance to win it all because boston has like 5 or 6 good players where LA has 1 great player

Why the hell did they interview KG? Is it to check if he has a vagina? Him and Pau Gasol are tied for biggest pussies in the league.

KG has the ball wide open, and passes it up to Rondo? Mother fuckin' Rondo? And misses the 2 Ft's? Damn he's the anti-clutch.

Can't wait to see the Finals. Pierce on Kobe will be epic.

fixed

I've heard Cavs in 6, I've heard Pistons in 6. I've heard the Celtics don't have a bench, that they can't win on the road, that Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett can't win. Now people are saying Lakers in 5.

The Lakers have a better bench? Posey, House, Cassell, Brown, Powe vs Vujacic, Farmar, Walton, Turiaf, Ariza. Doesn't seem to be a great gulf either way, though the Celtics bench is much more experienced.

Congrats to Boston but the Lakers are takin' it all the way :D

I can't even imagine how Game 1 will go though, this is gonna be an exciting series.

Let's just hold the bench argument til' we actually see them match up. Ariza hasn't even played much, just garbage time.
As for experience, I'm not looking at that, I'm looking at how much the bench has contributed in the playoffs, although I have to say, I haven't followed the Celtics bench too closely.

I'm just thinking about Garnett v. Gasol, Gasol couldn't hold down Duncan, how is he supposed to take on Garnett? >.>

Oh yea, thought I'd share this:

huh gasol played great on duncan
huh gasol played great on duncan
He played decent, and I'm criticizing Gasol because he plays soft, then hard, then relaxes again, and I REALLY noticed how Duncan could get those shots over Gasol, and KG is VERY GOOD at the turn-around jump shot, he's tall enough to shoot over Gasol, so I'm a little critical about that match-up.

I don't want good, I want DOMINATION! Haha

well kg has turned into a jump shooter
plus if paus not him on i think odom can do a solid job since his length will bother him

i would think KG would be easier to guard on the block...harder to guard on the perimeter though

i think the teams are pretty evenly matched...will be fun to watch
